Freshman ND coach Lou Holtz and his Irish players stage a remarkable come-from-behind victory against the Trojans to maintain what would become the longest unbeaten streak in the series.
I was ten years old and my sister was babysitting me. This was the first college football game i ever watched and became a huge fan of ND and Tim Brown. Oh Tim Brown, he was the most exciting college player.
well lets do that again but hopefuly with a few less points from usc.i cant count how much my life has been shortened by nd with awsome last sec victory and crushing last sec defeats.............still its go irsh till i die
My dad likes to tell the story when he originally watched this game, when it was 30-12, he changed the channel and never looked back; he only found out that the Irish won after he got the morning paper the next day. #GoIrish
After years of getting cheated in the Coliseum , The trojans made sure the country would not see the kick that won the game. Now with so many scandals at USC, we see them for what they are.....win at any costs. Damn the ethics. Very sad.
Now that I have learned what a horse's ass Holtz is, I retrospectively root against ND during his tenure, though I loved the Irish players then, and now.

Lou Holtz never lost to USC if I recall.
Anthony Broaddus Well, not until 1996.
