Yes, I’m very proud of her. She’s 7 months older than I am and I’ve been a fan of her since she and I were 11-12. Just because you don’t hear about her as much as the Kardashians doesn’t mean she’s a has-been. In fact, she’s more successful than some other child stars. She hasn’t done anything harmful to herself like Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus. She’s doing wonderfully and living a very positive life for a 26-year old. Keep it up Dakota! ❤️❤️
When celebrities lose their fame they want it back - then when they have it they don't want it. Acting is about networking yourself to get more gigs, that unfortunately holds true for many careers but I understand where you're coming from.

Dakota Fanning has always been my favorite child star actress. Watching her movies nowadays brings me to tears because I technically grew up with her. She's only a year older than I am to be exact It's amazing that I see how far she has came from her child stardom. She's the perfect example of how child stars should be when they grow up, not drinking, not doing drugs, not doing nude pictures for publicity, and she has an old spirit, a wonderful person she has always been! I hope to meet her someday.
She's only 22- She has ample time to make a "comeback". Even if she never does- she accomplished more at the age of 8 than most adults do in their lifetimes.

I kinda call bullshit on the whole Elle thing...yes Elle is a little more relevant now due to Maleficent, but that movie is already two years old and she hasn't done anything nearly as big since. Actually, both girls seem to do similar career moves: do a lot of indie/low budget films with the occasionally blockbuster inbetween (Elle: Super 8, Maleficent Dakota: the Twilight saga, War of the Worlds). If anything, Elle is going to have to fight off the title of 'Dakota's little sister" since Dakota still has way more well-known movies (and awards) than her. While I'm sure Elle can survive her sister's shadow, I don't think Dakota would ever have to struggle with being upstaged by Elle. Besides, Dakota is only 22 (which shocked me, as she always seems older) so she has plenty of time to live a normal private life before deciding if she wants to try to do more "relevant" movies. She's done so much with her career at such a young age that it's perfect fine that she takes a break from the public eye. In fact, she's proof that you can be successful and famous in Hollywood without turning into a nut job or resorting to cheap tricks to keep your name in the media. Hell, I'm pretty sure everyone who clicked this video knew exactly who Dakota was because of her FILMS, not because of her doing anything scandalous or crazy. Those here dismissing Elle should revisit her roles on television and movies like 2012's Ginger and Rosa and Leaning Towards Solace, 2015's About Ray and many others as well. I think Dakota's career is going to be as a character actor where as Elle will be asked to carry the movies she is in; it won't be long before either of them are nominated for awards but it will probably be on the order of Dakota for "Best Supporting Actress" and Elle for "Lead Performance by an Actress).

Even though Elle is the "IT" girl. I still think that Dakota Fanning is the true ACT-OR (not that I like to pit the two sisters against each other - there are enough people doing that). I kinda call bullshit on the whole Elle thing...yes Elle is a little more relevant now due to Maleficent, but that movie is already two years old and she hasn't done anything nearly as big since. Actually, both girls seem to do similar career moves: do a lot of indie/low budget films with the occasionally blockbuster inbetween (Elle: Super 8, Maleficent Dakota: the Twilight saga, War of the Worlds). If anything, Elle is going to have to fight off the title of 'Dakota's little sister" since Dakota still has way more well-known movies (and awards) than her. While I'm sure Elle can survive her sister's shadow, I don't think Dakota would ever have to struggle with being upstaged by Elle.
Besides, Dakota is only 22 (which shocked me, as she always seems older) so she has plenty of time to live a normal private life before deciding if she wants to try to do more "relevant" movies. She's done so much with her career at such a young age that it's perfect fine that she takes a break from the public eye. In fact, she's proof that you can be successful and famous in Hollywood without turning into a nut job or resorting to cheap tricks to keep your name in the media.
Hell, I'm pretty sure everyone who clicked this video knew exactly who Dakota was because of her FILMS, not because of her doing anything scandalous or crazy. I'm sure she and her sister will have long and excellent careers.

Both Elle and Dakota are good actresses but I believe they are like the Bridges brothers in that Dakota will become like Beau Bridges; a working, good actor but not on the level with his brother Jeff. I have watched Elle and Dakota from the time they were both very young and both of them have always been very impressive. Those here dismissing Elle should revisit her roles on television and movies like 2012's Ginger and Rosa and Leaning Towards Solace, 2015's About Ray and many others as well. She has the same range as Dakota but is more luminous. I think Dakota's career is going to be as a character actor where as Elle will be asked to carry the movies she is in; it won't be long before either of them are nominated for awards but it will probably be on the order of Dakota for "Best Supporting Actress" and Elle for "Lead Performance by an Actress).

Even though Elle is the "IT" girl. I still think that Dakota Fanning is the true ACT-OR (not that I like to pit the two sisters against each other - there are enough people doing that). But Dakota is much more gritty and compelling as an actor as shown in the wide range of roles she has played. I do think though that she ought to choose her roles well.
