    How do you know, just by looking at that fuse diagram, which one of those fuses are connected to the "Key in the ACC position" AND ARE SPARE/UNUSED FUSES? Because it might say ACC (like the one you chose), but it could be connected to some other circuit and may be powering some other ACC device. Another way of asking this is, so just because it says ACC, does that mean it's 100% an unused / spare fuse?

    • @LiL13izzy7
      @LiL13izzy7  Před 7 měsíci

      There are several ways I learned about which fuses are "always on," and which ones will turn on when the key is in the ACC position: One is just to google it - (your car make/model/year hot fuse locations). The other is through trial and error - I could jump onto a circuit via any given fuse (via add-a-circuit like I described in the video), turn the key, and see if your accessory turns on in various key positions. You can also use a multimeter to see if there is current running through the fuse, but that is a more involved process.
      If there is a fuse present , it is usually powering something, and would not be considered unused, kind of like a household outlet in your home with a power cord plugged into it.

      I have my phone mount in the AC vent directly above that USB port, on the left side of the steering wheel, so I'm my case, it is the perfect spot for me. Not everybody mounts their phone or devices in the same spot. I use my phone as a gps map device, so having it in that spot is in my line of sight, and keeps my short charging wire out of my lap. I'm my case, placing my phone in the center console is useless and dangerous, because looking down at a map while driving is wreckless. This is my car, and I've set it up the way it's best for me, not for most people.
