Our cattle handling techniques are different! Texas Longhorns are trained to ride like a saddle horse and pull a buggy in harness like a driving horse. We love our Longhorns, they really are so smart and affectionate, kinda like the family dog!

Amazing animals. My longhorn will back up or down stairs. I met a guy with a longhorn that would roll over play bead and sit like a dog.

I love longhorns, they are my favorite, and soo trainable.. I had one in Germany when I was younger, imported I loved her to death and used to ride her everywhere, bareback.. I miss her dearly I would love to get another some day.

Idea: if it's not already done, perhaps one could start a competition for trained cows, similar to dog shows and equine competition? I suppose it already is in place, but is pretty much unheard of.

That is really very amazing. Near the end it looked like she almost got clipped by the horn. Are those pretty dangerous?

They know where the tips of their horns are just as we know where the tips of our fingers are!
