My grandkids are half Puerto Rican and when their hair is braided, the stylist uses jam gel to grip and keep it together for at least a week.
I would have too but it had to come down unfortunately.

When I was a little girl growing up in the seventies, my mother and oldest sister used to braid mine and my sisters’ hair in corn rows and a variety of braided patterns and other styles. However, I never learned to do any type of braids other than a basic three stranded plait. I never actually took the time to learn. Now, I would like to learn, I just need to set that time aside to learn. There are many things I want to learn to do, such as play the piano, the guitar, etc. So many things, so little time.. 🤨
