  • This video covers the journey from Qingdao, China to Incheon, South Korea. We cross the Yellow Sea across 17 hours (overnight). I am sharing info that can hopefully help someone else that is making the same trip as It's not easy to identify the port as foreigners.
New Golden Bridge V is the vessel that transports cargo and passengers between Qingdao and Incheon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It's operated through a joint venture between China and South Korea by a company called Weidong Ferry.
    Weidong Ferry Website: Doesn't work
    Incheon Port Authority Website: www.icferry.or....
    Address on Google Maps: maps.app.goo.g...
Phone number to confirm ferries: 0532 8280 3574
    Tickets available from 1:30pm
Check in at 2:30pm - depart at 5:30pm.
    Music:
    Intro Song: www.bensound.c...
    License code: M3J9SAPWBEBROGM1
Outtro Song: I'm with you by Vance Joy
Context of the trip: I recall watching a black and white travel commercial from the early 1900's in a modern Korean history class while on exchange in Korea. This advert was selling adventures starting from Tokyo, making way through Fukuoka, Korea, China and into Europe.
While it's no longer possible to do this route in today's age (for reasons that is beyond me), this video is a snippet from my trip where I travelled through China by train from Hong Kong, and ultimately to Japan through ferries to and from South Korea.

No wifi, or atm is surprising. Topping it off cash only makes absolutely no sense coming from both countries that relies heavily on app transactions

True that aye.. maybe it has accounting reasons given its a joint thing between both countries (I have no idea).

thanks Bro , you are the life saver , i already knew the location of the port(after hard time looking for it from Baidu Maps) but didn't quite sure if the are selling tickets there, and by watching yr informative video and its relatively current date, now i am convince that the ticket counter are there at the building. My questions are, 1. Do they open up the ticket counter a day or two before sailing day?(to buy in advance) 2. did you get there(port) by taxi ? 3. how far is public transportation as we reach Incheon Port, as Metro station? Btw thanks for your informative videos, a real good one 👍👍👍👍

      Thanks mate and I'm glad!
      1. They open on the day from like 1:30pm. I called in advance to just make sure they exist lol. Because they carry freight I think you can make a fairly safe bet that it will go. If must check phone them with the number in description.
      2. I got there by taxi. Use the Google map reference in description, match it with Baidu and tell driver/ didi using drop pin.
      3. You'll arrive in incheon around 10am. There's shuttle busses right outside to International Airport or into the city. There's an info desk that covers English.
      You'll land here: maps.app.goo.gl/VWBnLxoFu2JQGDiG9
      Hope this helps!

@@alilameda i saw it on the map there a station there, but according to old google maps, it ends one station before it, then you have to walk some 30 minutes to the place, but i really hope the extensions is completed

    • @viarystash9124
      @viarystash9124  Před 4 měsíci

There is no application to book - you need to arrive at the location on the day and simply buy a ticket. You can call in advance to double check there are boats using the number in description.
