- Watch my last Bushcraft solo overnight adventure . My first horse riding in the forest this year . I slept in a canvas shelter ( polish lavvu ) and i cooked beef stew.
I spent the weekend up on a hill of my childhood where I can say my love for being out in nature was born. I spent a wonderful time with a friends' horse. Although I do not have much experience with horses, we got along really well and enjoyed the arrival of the spring together. I slept in the lavvu and I used a wool blanket as cover. I cooked an amazing stew. During the weekend I noticed the birds are back - incredible songs about the spring's arrival.

I lived on the road for over two years travelling around southern Britain with my Welsh Cob pulling my 2 wheeled spinner cart which carried my megre possessions, but more than enough, and two canvas tarpaulins for my Gypsy Bender tent, it was an exillerating life experience and I could happily return to that lifestyle. Good on you bud for this trip with your horse.

@@BushcraftMood I was born in the New Forest, Hampshire, I knew a lot of Gypsies and I liked their older horse drawn lifestyles so thought I'd give it try, it's the best way to live.
