hated the coin system since they added it together with the 120 system, glad the jp players are finally waking up and actually having a backlash towards their over and over anti consumer updates, and regarding the pity system, i doubt they would do 50:50 since we normally have 80:20, a lot of people would complain cause it would feel like a downgrade,
and speaking of coins spent on grails, now im looking at my angry mango that i used like 500 coins i had leftover from him that are gone
The main reason people are upset is because lack of method to get coin has been 1,of the biggest issue for years. Instead of fixing it, they made it worse by adding more demand for coins and no supply. It's like when your neighbor play their music too loud, you come to complain and they just crank up the volume even higher
More like they change the music playing but keeps it loud.
It's totally not a coincidence either they chose to do it now ofc only when Summer Eresh comes. Tbh the servant coin system has always been troublesome and a problem.
Naw even as NA player with Clairvoyance this shit sucks. For three years people wanted improvements on this feature and they haven’t done anythin. Hell now I’m glad JP players are mad too.
Yeah, I don't agree that this is fine for NA players. We've had servant coins and appends for years. Sure, for servants we may get in the future we now know the coin situation. But that's a lot of time to have used up coins. It only helps for future characters. It's something but it's not a huge win.
The good: Ereshkigal. She looks great, her animations are fantastic, and it's pretty much Summer Ereshkigal which seemed almost impossible to ever get.
The bad: Pretty much everything else. I mean geeze. The append thing is just terrible. They had to do it with some kind of change. Drop the cost of appends and refund people for coins spent, boost the coins for bond levels, put generic bond coins in the mana/rare prism shop, create the ability to refund append skills so you can get different ones, just literally anything. Instead they just dropped one solid and one amazing append skill and said "well...there you go."
So yeah, I think even with Ereshkigal being so awesome that this is probably FGO's worst anniversary.

Welfares get punished by this append change too. You can not get enough coins for them to max out everything

Never used my Arc's coins, weird how that restraint or lack of incentive paid off for me, lol
Yeah your lucky man coz I'm already burned some of those coins😭😭😭just to get 1 Grail?! Even those extra coins for Welfare Servants was burned🥹🥹🥹and I feel f***now😒😒😒

Good for 4 stars? You already needed NP16+Bond 15 to max out permanent 4 stars, and NP10 Bond 14 for Limited/Storylocked 4 Stars. Also it's bad for everyone, since if you NP6ed to max out an SSR, now you'd need 2 more copies.... but where is the rateup for your fav? We've had some servants with years and years now with no rateups at all. Hell, some Limited's on NA have had their last rateup already, so people with 2 year lead time were unable to NP8 in preparation.
And then there's the welfares. Did they increase available coins in the invocation shop? No, they didn't.
The only worse anniversary is arguably the one where they introduced Servant coins in the first place.
The servant coins system isn't the problem ! As a matter of fact a lot of servant benefit from those append skills to buster loop ! All the 30% np gauge buster servant.
The problem is how to get those coins ! Only with summoning ! Coin are the worse thing with USO in FGO to get since there isn't an alternative for it !
Thing about the append thing is that even Whales hate it because it ruined their Lv120 NP5 10/10/10 10/10/10 2000/2000 2000/2000 Servants and they don't have the coins for the other 2 append skills
Hope they lower the cost of append skill or a way to get more coins somehow. About summer eresh being a anniversary servant I’m in a mixed bag, I think Ciel was the anniversary servant but they change it with summer eresh because they know ppl gonna backfire lassengle for ciel being a anniversary harder than summer eresh. I love summer eresh more than last year Tonelico/Morgan for sure.
I'd say the new Append addition isn't even for whales, as it stands now; it's for Leviathans. I've whaled for my favourite Servants and this puts me off like the gaping sinkhole that is C/E/X-6 in Mihoyo games. It was the one thing they had over Mihoyo, given Mihoyo's pity system is so much better; and yet here we are.
The good: Beast Summer Space Ereshkigal (geez they really made a catch all huh)
The bad: everything else.
Also it's still bad coz new Beast class didn't go with a BANG like how Draco treatment was🤣🤣🤣?! Coz Draco introduce with a event story but her(Summer Eresh)was only for GACHA 🤣🤣🤣

only took them 9 years to have a bare MINIMUM pity system, this company's a joke...
JP companies do not want to add the CN and KR pity mechanics to their games, from what I can see in their games.
It sucks that you don't get the 5* CC's in the RP shop if you already have them, unlike the 3 & 4 stars.
Also, Ciel isn't out yet. She comes out with the summer event on the 14th.

i understand the frustration for the 5* CC's, but some of them are really good (like +4 crit stars) and could leave newer players with a lesser advantage. I think it's mostly present for newer players in case they missed it
The good:
Eresh is cute. Very cute.
The bad:
Everything else felt like Lasengle screaming "GIVE US YOUR MONEY. ROLL MORE COPIES."
eresh is also not good for the most, a true summer eresh will never happen just like morgan, a true space eresh will also never happen and the beast class is a joke now with it's second ever servant being a summer and servantvers joke and taking up the beast slot that could have goon for camazotz while she could have been a foreigner.
Based on image saying there is 190 sq for anniversary rewards, slightly disappointed it cannot be higher (Unsure how many missions tied to ordeal call or lb7 clear and if sq from the new upcoming rankups count towards this), I wish it was more around the 250-300 sq rewards for anni personally. I know using comparison to 7th anni is unfair since having loads of servants retroactively at max ascension gave people little to upper limits of 900+ sq this year on NA.
Space ishtar, sorry Space Eresh, is alright but not what I expected and it feels only slightly offputting due to swimsuit design once again on 1 ascension for the anniversary servant, luckily it is not bad as putting swimsuit morgan and tonelico into 1. Having a second beast class is cool, but only wonder if she is connected to story of Ordeal Call, lore relevant, or just another fanservice for the people (wheres summer medusa lasengle ;-;).
I do agree the append system was more for whales as well, outside the lucky free-to-play or low spendor that hoarded or got very lucky rolling for 1 servant heavily. Regardless, it is egregious to HAVE a system that tells you to get 8-9 more dupes of a servant in order to give them extra benefits outside of raw stats. For people who already committed to appending on JP or even NA, you now create friction for those who did not summon for more copies and can no longer reserve coins for append 5, which allows units like Arcueid to farm easier due to how cooldown by 1 can change many servants. People cant think of fixes or retroactive giveback coins, but I think the pressing issue was the inception of how coins and USOs were designed to earn, obtain, and use.
Pity finally not being 1 time only for a rateup 5 star is great...until you realize they entice you to go to pity to ensure 2 copies of the 5 star and finally added in a pity counter that should have taken place 2 years ago. Realistically I wish pity was loser to 660 pulls (600 sq worth) and having 4 star or higher gurantees of CE/Unit (doesnt have be the rateup). Case anyone else reads this, I do wish somebody was dedicated/crazy enough to record all Saint Quartz and Tickets that may be obtain each year from all the different patches, updates, celebrations and more. Right now, taking out the irregular celebrations and new content, a free-to-play earns about 1 pity per year, but I need easy to read evidence like images or excel sheets to say otherwise.
The one thing that really bothers me is the wellfares are automatically screwed out of new appends unless they decide to bring reruns back
Lasengle is just testing players to drop the game they been playing for 9 years for a better gacha game. idk how they can see games like nikke that has higher rates, a pity sistem that carries overs, most of the units are on the general pool, doesn't have dead months, is f2p friendly and still makes a shitload of money every month and just decides to do the exact opposite of all of this
Even on NA this still sucks dick because you might have already grail casted a Servant you already maxed out because the game told you that you didn't need those coins anymore, or you unlocked append 1 or 3 because you had no other thing to spend those coins on.
This is the worst update in the history of the game because it retroactively punishes you for decsions you made.
Another thing to consider is that if your favorite servant is a wellfate, then you are just SOL. They did not add more coins to evocation so it is just impossible to max out a wellfare now. Yeah, we need a servant coin fix yesterday.
The summer Ereshkigal gimmick is cool, but I hope the system of support servants being specifically gutted begins and ends with her. Servants being weaker if pulled from the support list means you have to roll for them yourselves to unlock their full potential. Making the game once again more hostile to non whales. If its just this one servant than cool, but I can see this spiraling out of control.

the issue isn't the copies themselves, but rather the coins. i've been burning artoria lilly and habetrot coins, but nothing else limited/welfare/gold. always felt like a sin to burn extra coins bc of how difficult they are to obtain (same with copies, but i burned a few for rp's that i regret doing now), but i feel god awful for those who felt secure in burning extra coings that the game literally RECOMMENDED people to burn.
If Summer 9 doesn't have Summer Miyu for 2nd half, instant FAIL. Love Dobrynya but that's all I'm looking forward to in a couple years.

Lb7 revealing the director means lv150 is just going to make things worse if that also requires coins if theres no fix.

i think the coin thing is the only real big miss of this anniversary they need to make a way to refund coins or increase the amount of coins you get from bond level because thats insane that u need to do that just to max the character u choose to append
FGO seriously needs to look at it's competitors especially since Arknights had its Gatcha overhaul and that's not including the R6 collabs where Hypergryph was like hey I know these Operators are super limited so let's make them reasonably obtainable also he's 20 free pulls for the lols
Servants coin aren't easy to get for most 4*, the non limited ones get a ridiculously small amount per copy/bond level.
From what I've, with that update it's even worse, you now need NP30 to max a non limited 4*, it's just absurd.

I have 2 years to save for space waifu, I'm not that patient. Coins fix is Simple just make them all universal, they Already are for grail casting purposes.
There was some good that I liked but I feel like the bad just kinda outweighs it. Specially the lack of coin fix in the face of more appends. I didnt really mind everything else but the coin thing is a big deal.
If I had known that I would need 2 more arc to max her out I would have done that at anniversary. Now I have to wait at least 2 years or waste GSSRs for a chance to get the resources to max append.

At least we have two years to prepare, even if we already wasted coins on barely relevant appends already
I won't called the new append update as the worst for this anniversary. Maybe for some ssr servant in which their coins are harder to get. Most ssr only need mana loading to charge their np to begin with. There are Some exception like arcuid who gain great benefit from the cd append, since it allows her to be useful in double koyan+oberon team. On the other side, lower rarity servants actually gain good benefit from the new append (their coins is like everywhere). The new appends allows them to compete more with the sr and ssr servants. In conclusion, it is true that this new append stuff have an issue, but it is not like the worst as people said.

Well we whales pay for the game and so the complaints are kind of weird. No-one expects you to max a whole character and a F2P would never get to NP8 anyways. It's just something for people that want to spend money to do. And it just helps out F2P if they prioritize just one or two of the appends and max bond them. Seriously.. do you think people won't pick your support because they don't have all the appends? People on my support list don't even unlock them. And that's fine.
So 300 coins to up 1 servant to lv 120? Better save those coins for append now cause they are not gonna save themselves.
So only welfare servants get to unlock the coins easily.
Also we should refrain from increasing servants level pass 100 since every coin is valuable now. 😂
The exception should be non limit 3 star and below. Arash and chen gong is the prime candidate. 😊
Ironically enough, I have none of the og ereskigal and Ishtar, but I do have space Ishtar. So I will save for space ereskigal instead for NA 😊 do we know which beast she is supposed to represent?
She's the Servantverse Beast so essentially a Gag-Beast

Man your anniversary servant guess already aged poorly. Especially the part when you said " they won't give us another summer servant for anniversary because a lot of people hated that last year". And yet bam they're like " oh oh oh Justin guess we'll have to prove you wrong". Honestly the apen skill upgrade is basically then saying yes to whales and no to f2p or dolphin players. It's kinda disgusting and not good.

Will never want a 50/50 in gacha. The rate up should always be 100% or 70% and above. The Eresh I'm happy she's a thing but not as an Anni servant. Should have just been a Summer Banner Servant. Appends should probably be lowered to about 60 coins.
