Servant coins really were the worst addition they have ever made to the game. Back in the day you would Grail your waifu/husbando to 100 and get them NP 2~3 if you werent a whale and that was it, you had a "complete" servant that performed well and a nice way to show off your favorites and where you alocated your resources. Golden fous were a bit annoying when they came out and still kinda are due to how slow you get them but at least it was another way of strenghtening your favorites. But servant coints and 120 being tied to them is an absolute cashgrab that screws over all the concepts of resource management and makes it literally impossible to improve your characters without going through the bs gacha.
Personally I think the addition of 120 hard cap is cool. I agree that getting there being basically gacha-locked is super cringe and annoying, but the fix is a really simple numbers change. I think that Servant bond levels should give way more servant coins so that people don't need ridiculous amounts of Servant copies to get their favorites to 120. It's 660 coins for all appends and 120, so as an example, if bond levels gave 50 coins/level, then any 3* or higher servant could get to 120 guaranteed if you were to get them to bond 13 (still a LOT of bond leveling, but this is also assuming only a single copy rolled ever. Also if they're your favorite bond 13 is a small price to pay lol). That doesn't take appends into account, so those would still need copies with this setup. But just throwing out numbers as an example. TL;DR: A lot the servant coin pain could be fixed my multiplying bond coin rewards by 10 IMO.

Well, personally i dont think it was that bad. I mean, sure it take a LOT of effort just to be able to max lvl 120 1 of your servant, i mean since 3 years ago till now my saito still at lvl 116 (tho its kinda my fault i used up his 120 coins to unlock his 1st ap skill). But its not like they forced you to lvled up every favorite servants that you have.
That's not really completely true. If your SSR waifu makes it to NP3 and you Bond 10 the Servant, you will have enough for level 120. But you won't have enough for max appends, which is what I assume you are mad about - you want both 120 AND all three append skills unlocked. Where they could stand to do some tweaking is with the four stars. You need an absurd amount of copies for them. I think it's probably harder to 120 a four star than it is an SSR, which really should not be the case.

On the other, though, I think FGO is SUPER bloated with new currencies for every little thing you can do, and JP just keeps adding more it seems. If I had a choice to fix Servant Coins, I would try to do it without adding any more currencies to have to collect/keep track of.

Can relate to this, having a grailed servant of each class was also my initial goal which i did, in a way. It just so happens that i ended up investing 80% of my grails into the foreigner class since i grailed almost all of them lol. Aside from Extras i at least have Barghest, Fujino, Melusine, Ushiwaka, Castoria, Kama, Morgan grailed for the normal classes respectively.

we share a lot of grails, the grails are: spishtar to 106(i regret that 3 grail past level 100, if i can, i would istantly remove these 3 grail and leave her to 100, because she's np1, i don't feel like to pull np4/5 to 120 her and is 1+ year that i didn't even put her in a team, i'm sorry spishtar, even though she's my very first grail) kama to 100, really love kama as a character, i even grailed her summer version on na to 100, summer kiara to 100, she was my very first non np1 ssr, but i never use her, baobhan sith to 100, i remeber rolled her on her very first banner in a solo rate up on jp, and when the free sr ticket comes out i np2'd her, and got np3 while rolling for miss crane this year on the event tower, but i feel bad because i didn't have so much occasions to use her, but i really likes her a lot, kijyo koyo to 120, the 120 that I sweated more for, i rolled her and istant 94 because i didn't had grails left to 100, but istantly 100 after beating up lb7, i rolled her on the new year banner and got np3 with a roland spook(if i could i would istantly remove him from the game, that was the 7th copy too... and got np5 while rolling kriem) i starter to 120 her on the illya's lottery, i was gonna finish that 120 anyways with bond 14, currentaly bond 12, but i could np4 her with the recent free limited sr ticket, and i didn't think twice and np4 her, she's my proudest 120, and talking about 120 i got durga too, i genuinely like her since i saw kali the first time, she's the peak of this year's servant for me, and the last grail we share is kriem(mine to 100, and was thinking to 120 her before durga was release), i liked her a lot since i saw her in the lb 6.5 livestream, i got extremely lucky by rolling np1 with just 2 multies, then after using her in the lb, i decided to go for np2 and it took just 1 multi, i rolled more and got nothing but roland np5 and even charlie that i wasn't even expecting lmao, got np3 on the gssr of the 7th anniversary, and now with the wandijina banner i'd finally np5'd her, but since the coins sistem sucks, i think i will never 120 her, but np100 2k for sure. there are a lot of servants that i grailed, most of them can be seen here on rayshift: 591,651,540 for now i got all the servants that i wanted, ssr and sr, i only need the 5th copy of koyo and i'm done, i'm saving grail for a future new servants(probably summer castoria to 120, i will see in the future, i was even thinking of leveling caster castoria to 120 if i get np3, but i don't think i will do it anyways. sorry for this very long comment, thanks if you read all of it, and sorry for my bad english if i misspelled something, i'm not really good at writing or talking in english

My thoughts were exactly the same for grailing Spishtar to 100 and those are only gameplay grails I used. Justifying Summer Ibuki will be really hard since I have a almost maxed out Summer Musashi. And since Raikou got her buff finally she will be more then just a trophy waifu now.
I don't have any 120's yet, but my 100's are: Ibuki saber, Melusine, Kama assassin, Morgan, and Space ishtar. But I also grailed Ushi rider to 90, Jeanne berserker to 90, and XX to 90. If I grail another 4 star it might be fairy tristan because she's somehow np4 already.
My grailed lv.100 are Corday, Anastasia, Tomoe, Barghest and all their summer version, Morgan(Berserker), and Johanna. Only Assassin Corday that I attempt to grail over 100 and she still stuck at 112 right now but will go further when I get enough S-coins. I do grailed a few more but mostly stop at 90. Reason? Definitely not for gameplay as none of them are Meta servant, so I think you can guess.
Servants I grailed Tamamo-no-Mae (Caster): 100 (strictly waifu reasons, someday to 120) Nyalter: 92 (intending to get to 100, helped me a lot as my main ST zerk for most of part 1) Odysseus: 100 (door farming reasons) Cu: 80 (intend to at least 90) Servants for future grailing Elisabeth Bathory (OG and Cinderella) (entirely because I got a soft spot for her) Morgan (future 120 goal) Marie Antoinette (to at least 90, as my first gold servant) Tomoe Gozen (to at least 90) Mochizuki Chiyome (at least 90) MHXX (at least 100)
I only have 7 grailed servants, but that's mostly because 3 of them are 120 and grails are still very limited on NA...tho tbf I prefer investing heavily in the few servants that I actually use rather than grailing a dozen more or so to 100 and then ending up not using most of them.
I think after bringing Taira to 120 (I need one more level of Bond) I don't know if I'll bring anyone else to 120 for a while. Right now though... 120 - Sasaki Kojirou aka Regend 120 - Taira 100 - Ushiwakamaru 100 - Gilgamesh 100 - Enkidu 100 - Nero and Summer Nero 100 - Martha Ruler 90 - Assassin Shiki 90 - Caster Gilgamesh 80 - Euryale I'm on NA, I think the only one I regret grailing atm is Euryale. That's the one I'd rip grails from I suppose. I tend to only grail servants when they hit NP5. Martha Ruler would have been 120 over Taira...but I needed 5 more copies of her thanks to the coin system being as it is. And during her latest rate up she was split with Beowulf and I just got all Beowulf... I've got a lot of servants I need to bring to 100 so I probably won't be thinking of a third 120 for a long time. All the Martha's, Melt's, Medb's, Nero's, and Shiki's for example. Also will probably grail Cursed Arm at some point.

Gameplay grails really make more sense now since we have grail casting, no shame in it. As a f2p I have like 30 grails just sitting around, and I have already grailed for love and gameplay. Whales will have even more grails than that, so ya go ahead and grail that summer kama or ibuki.
Buff for koyan HOPIUM Her big problem besides Class, is that she mostly deals dmg from her face cards but what you really want is big dmg from NP... And her dmg is lackluster in that regard.... So if her cards dont show up and ur Light koyan buffs wear off, shes worthless and dies to np too easily. Thats why she wanted to put her hands on the Albion, star absorb, mostly AOE dmg that ramps up and pierces + stupid high np gain. Yeah when u compare Melusine to koyan dark u notice why she wanted her...
Obligatory gae noises PYON PYON But seriously, very interesting grail choices! It's true, you have to grail for love, because all you're doing is improving a character you like to use. Hearing you say Draco is still overrated is definitely a surprise though, but maybe that's just Beast Class bias and expectancy. Personally, I found Summer Kama disappointing, not for gameplay, but because her bikini wasn't animated (despite them animating Kriemhild's sword).
that's normal. you don't get any satisfaction after getting unit from several hundred pulls, only annoyance and feeling "fuckin finally". so if you didn't love this unit a lot, you can end up actually feeling bad and disappointed in them after disaster rolls

we share a lot of grails, the grails are: spishtar to 106(i regret that 3 grail past level 100, if i can, i would istantly remove these 3 grail and leave her to 100, because she's np1, i don't feel like to pull np4/5 to 120 her and is 1+ year that i didn't even put her in a team, i'm sorry spishtar, even though she's my very first grail) kama to 100, really love kama as a character, i even grailed her summer version on na to 100, summer kiara to 100, she was my very first non np1 ssr, but i never use her, baobhan sith to 100, i remeber rolled her on her very first banner in a solo rate up on jp, and when the free sr ticket comes out i np2'd her, and got np3 while rolling for miss crane this year on the event tower, but i feel bad because i didn't have so much occasions to use her, but i really likes her a lot, kijyo koyo to 120, the 120 that I sweated more for, i rolled her and istant 94 because i didn't had grails left to 100, but istantly 100 after beating up lb7, i rolled her on the new year banner and got np3 with a roland spook(if i could i would istantly remove him from the game, that was the 7th copy too... and got np5 while rolling kriem) i starter to 120 her on the illya's lottery, i was gonna finish that 120 anyways with bond 14, currentaly bond 12, but i could np4 her with the recent free limited sr ticket, and i didn't think twice and np4 her, she's my proudest 120, and talking about 120 i got durga too, i genuinely like her since i saw kali the first time, she's the peak of this year's servant for me, and the last grail we share is kriem(mine to 100, and was thinking to 120 her before durga was release), i liked her a lot since i saw her in the lb 6.5 livestream, i got extremely lucky by rolling np1 with just 2 multies, then after using her in the lb, i decided to go for np2 and it took just 1 multi, i rolled more and got nothing but roland np5 and even charlie that i wasn't even expecting lmao, got np3 on the gssr of the 7th anniversary, and now with the wandijina banner i'd finally np5'd her, but since the coins sistem sucks, i think i will never 120 her, but np100 2k for sure.

for now i got all the servants that i wanted, ssr and sr, i only need the 5th copy of koyo and i'm done, i'm saving grail for a future new servants(probably summer castoria to 120, i will see in the future, i was even thinking of leveling caster castoria to 120 if i get np3, but i don't think i will do it anyways.

My thoughts were exactly the same for grailing Spishtar to 100 and those are only gameplay grails I used.
Justifying Summer Ibuki will be really hard since I have a almost maxed out Summer Musashi.
And since Raikou got her buff finally she will be more then just a trophy waifu now.
I don't have any 120's yet, but my 100's are: Ibuki saber, Melusine, Kama assassin, Morgan, and Space ishtar. But I also grailed Ushi rider to 90, Jeanne berserker to 90, and XX to 90. If I grail another 4 star it might be fairy tristan because she's somehow np4 already.
Basically: down bad (same)
My grailed lv.100 are Corday, Anastasia, Tomoe, Barghest and all their summer version, Morgan(Berserker), and Johanna. Only Assassin Corday that I attempt to grail over 100 and she still stuck at 112 right now but will go further when I get enough S-coins. I do grailed a few more but mostly stop at 90. Reason? Definitely not for gameplay as none of them are Meta servant, so I think you can guess.

I only have 7 grailed servants, but that's mostly because 3 of them are 120 and grails are still very limited on NA...tho tbf I prefer investing heavily in the few servants that I actually use rather than grailing a dozen more or so to 100 and then ending up not using most of them.
I think after bringing Taira to 120 (I need one more level of Bond) I don't know if I'll bring anyone else to 120 for a while. Right now though...

I'm on NA, I think the only one I regret grailing atm is Euryale. That's the one I'd rip grails from I suppose. I tend to only grail servants when they hit NP5. Martha Ruler would have been 120 over Taira...but I needed 5 more copies of her thanks to the coin system being as it is. And during her latest rate up she was split with Beowulf and I just got all Beowulf... I've got a lot of servants I need to bring to 100 so I probably won't be thinking of a third 120 for a long time. All the Martha's, Melt's, Medb's, Nero's, and Shiki's for example. Also will probably grail Cursed Arm at some point.

Gameplay grails really make more sense now since we have grail casting, no shame in it. As a f2p I have like 30 grails just sitting around, and I have already grailed for love and gameplay. Whales will have even more grails than that, so ya go ahead and grail that summer kama or ibuki.

Her big problem besides Class, is that she mostly deals dmg from her face cards but what you really want is big dmg from NP... And her dmg is lackluster in that regard.... So if her cards dont show up and ur Light koyan buffs wear off, shes worthless and dies to np too easily.
Thats why she wanted to put her hands on the Albion, star absorb, mostly AOE dmg that ramps up and pierces + stupid high np gain. Yeah when u compare Melusine to koyan dark u notice why she wanted her...

that's normal. you don't get any satisfaction after getting unit from several hundred pulls, only annoyance and feeling "fuckin finally". so if you didn't love this unit a lot, you can end up actually feeling bad and disappointed in them after disaster rolls
