  • So today I visited Penzance station which is the main terminus of the Cornish Main Line and the most westerly station in the UK. Services are seen by Great Western Railway and Cross Country. Joining me was TrainclipsHD and South West Trainspotting so do check out their channels.
    I really enjoyed filming at Penzance. The station itself has some sort of character to it especially the large canopy. The weather was appalling for the majority of this film but that didn't affect how nice this station was. I'll definitely come back here and I recommend it but make sure if you come here to be here at the right time.
    My next station is St Erth, the next station up from Penzance also on the Cornish Main Line. I look forward to sharing that with you.
    If you have liked what you have seen here at Penzance then please do like and subscribe and I will get back to any comments you make as and when I can. Any recommendations are welcomed so please do leave those in the comments.
    Take care everyone and I will see you all soon. 😊

    Back in the day of the HSTs. They were the best trains ever, comfort wise, definitely better than the 80x units!

    Hello Kieran I'am from New Zealand and have watched a lot of your videos so its about time I joined your channel,I subscribe to your mate Scouse Trainspotter 1999. I did a UK rail tour a couple of years ago so I have visited a lot of the stations you visit and my visit to Penzance, it was a very nice sunny day unlike yours,I stayed in a hotel across the road from the station, being from overseas we can purchase a UK rail pass either standard class or first class before we arrive in the UK,the first class pass is very good value, we have a couple of options 7 days travel out of 14 or 14 days out of 30 and the train manager should sign off each day of travel however a lot don't bother so thats an extra day you get,I covered most to of the UK in 21 days and most had first class excluding some local services (steam) or use trains like the Pacers!!! worst trains I have ever had the pleasure to travel on. Looking forward to your future videos. Brian

      +bravohotel100 Hello Brian. Thanks for joining my channel. Unfortunately I must correct you and say that me and Scouse are no longer friends (long story) but don't let that affect you watching any of my stuff. I loved Penzance and it sounded like you did as well. When you say you covered a lot of the UK in 21 days, were there any highlights? 😊

    • @bravohotel100
      @bravohotel100 Před 8 lety +1

      Kieran... no problem on the long story......many highlights racing through the English countryside First Class having breakfast/lunch/dinner on a VT 390/220/221, GWR trains sending emails home to NZ using the onboard wifi, Steam trains,EMUs,DMUs (except those Pacers) narrow gauge Welch trains,York railway museum ,Scotrail west coast line all good stuff.

    I thought Arisaig was the Westernmost station. I cold be wrong.
    I'll be down there in a few weeks when I do my end-to-end. I have factored in a couple of hours at Penzance, so I can put my Nikon to good work.
