Why don’t large companies like Google, follow Bill Gates lead and buy up all the farm land... And then at that point plant trees. They have the money! Who wants to start a petition?? Personally I am an Amazon Seller. Amazon takes more than 50 percent of my earnings. These one percenters need to step up!!!
@@Virtualsalesnetwork I mean... great plan and everything... but what will you eat if all the farmland is turned into forests? I agree, in the sense that rainforests shouldn't be turned into wastelands and farmlands, etc. but turning farms into forests isn't the solution either.
@Nevar Stopme I totally agree!! And yes we hate our governments they won’t let us do anything, we start to make pollution because of them, we want to restore our world to new and plant trees, farm, animals, etc. I can’t just imagine that how we make pollution and cut trees down and throw papers around everywhere like that’s not safety for the Earth, we’re losing habitats, bad news about climate just because of the pollution.
I can imagine how beautiful forests were back in ancient times
Shame we will never experience that again 🙁

It's a big world and a small world at the same time, this video really captures the impact of humanity on the planet. The music and the narration just fits so well together.
Lol 3 likes yes
Does it also capture the improvements to people's quality of life?
After 3 years still no mustache?
The narrative is a bit over-dramatic and melancholy. That aside, it is a very interesting culmination , but through the down-trodden lens this video has been presented, it is a bit of contrived depression on the state of climate change. I worry less about climate change than how microplastic ingestion will kill most of us in short order, the stuff is already so small it is carried thousands of miles in the wind and water.

Alternate title: "Humanity shoots itself in the foot" goes on a 4-decade long world tour.
It's the height of human arrogance to think that we're solely responsible for any kind of Climate change.
@@davidcovey3001 who's saying that?
@@derekschulz7813 I did, just now...
@Connorshark It's actually not obvious we did this, nor is there any evidence we did anything (they've guessed and assumed we have, but there is a difference). There have always been temperature fluctuations throughout history, and man couldn't have been responsible for them.
The issue I have with this whole thing is that; you have scientists (who guess for a living, because that's what science is btw.. professional guessing), giving their opinions and passing it off as facts. 10 years ago they said all the ice sheets would melt, well that didn't happen, now its 10 years, 10 years after that they'll say its 20. etc.
Science, in case you didn't know.. is about looking at a behavior coming up with an opinion about it, and then trying to find things to backup your opinion even if it's not true. (That's science, btw. Which is why Science ISN'T facts. It's all theory.. it's all conjecture. They MAY be right, but they also MAY be wrong. I tend to believe the latter, because Human's are stupid... but we're tricked into believing people with the title "Scientist" are the second coming and can't be wrong about anything.. right?)
Politicians get behind this because they want votes of the ignorant, but seemingly moral. Obviously it's good to want to take care of your planet.. so it's something we all can get behind right? Except it's not based in reality, it's based on feelings and conjecture. They want to shut down entire industries and destroy the lives of millions over false facts that they can't possibly prove. It's all for power, not for the planet.
The climate change narrative is all based on political clout. I don't buy it for a second... (just like I don't buy that Biden is for the "dreamers". He just wants power.. he doesn't care about the planet, or the people.)
@@davidcovey3001 Scientists make predictions on the current trajectory of data. Recently we have been more conscious about our effect on the environment than say ten years ago. I don't know that all scientists agreed ten years ago that in 2021 all ice sheets would melt but I do know scientists would say "IF THIS CONTINUES" then the ice sheets would melt. Because we have worked on our effect on the environment we have slowed down things like the melting of the ice sheets. We still have a lot of things to work on because a large amount of the ice sheets did melt, and we are still responsible for deforestation and things like that.

As for our happiness, there have been several "golden ages", when things seemingly went well for us, but slavery existed, as well as preferential governance; but things kept falling from the sky, hinting at total destruction, the Christians were fond of pushing the "Angry God Who Will Be Back" theory; nevertheless, what would you say has driven us to hunt for other planets, code our own and other DNA; create printers that can make body parts, if Earth Life were the only future? @@eemage9476 Not BECAUSE we're geniuses; that was not our choice, and I'm not jumping anywhere, but quite consistent. None of this was our choice. I sense that I'm taxing your intellect. How many astrophysicists do you actually know? And every day I wake up breathing is nice. I'm 80, and appear to have given this matter a great deal more thought than you. Once more: We are a device of the Natural Web, its cutting edge in fact. Our story is half told. This is our world showing her resilience with us and towards us, she is capable of enduring change but her ability to do so is not infinite. Like our elders, to our new born, it is our responsibility if not obligation to care for them and take care of them, just like earth is our mother to us all, she provides us with everything we need, everyone we know, everything we learn, do, interact with, grow with, enjoy, love, evolve with, and we must in turn pay pur very much due respects to her and care for her, tend to her, when she hurts we must listen, come together, use what she has given so that we may make her better, feel better, heal, feel that unconditional love that she has so freely given to us all. This can only be accomplished with us all as one. Any division puts her in perill and as we know the only option she might have left that we narrow and rob all other options from her is not one that favors any and all of us. There is still time.

It’s your friendly science guy here! When the Earth heats up/gets to hot, the earth can naturally cool itself down. That’s what ice ages are for! In the past, the earth has definitely heated up, it’s pretty natural. After those what, few
hundred-thousands of years of the earth slowly warming up, the earth turns into a big snowball and cools down. I’m not sure how accurate this would be for our upcoming generations due to the ozone layer breaking down, but this scenario is very likely.

1984-2020 is like a small blip in time on the Earth. Need to really look at it from thousands of years at a time.
It really depends on us as long as we haven't lost nature in ourselves, there's hope to bring back the values that have been given to us.
Maja I think to much is destroyed forever, all we can do is to care that every one of us tries to create not more destruction. People in the town I live are complaining about the erosion of the shore but still they like to live as close to the water as possible.
This just 1 example. An other issue is our daily behavior: Cars, Airplanes, deforesting, ignoring natural river flooding areas, this are only a tiny list of issues we should try to avoid.
See for example natural flood areas: IF we would accept them the nature would thank it to us with fruitful soil, Butterflies, birds would migrate back, etc.

Music - and vocal expression - smooth and wonderful.
i cannot wait for the tears and the agony when humanity faces it's peril. I will enjoy it as we all burn to ashes this is what we are and what we've done
I loved the voice-over. So calming and poetic.
It was a bit cliché imho

True. This video really touched my heart please share as much as you can. It’s for to save our earth and our generation
@Nevar Stopme it’s true I really respect you also I think people now a day just thinking about their own but not for their future generations.
The changes are happening over a long period of time - this makes it more immediate. We do need to hurry up a bit more!!

"no one is too small to make a difference"
Let's start from a small step to make our home "Earth" better.
💗
Yes... we all make chouces everyday... Stop using plastic bottles, recycle, reduce, reuse, etc

We can’t compensate the damage we do by planting trees. Rainforest are an ecosystem of co2 absorption powerhouses, they absorb much more than the same amount of a variety of different trees we plant for the lost rainforest. That’s why we have to save what’s left and let it grow on it’s own again
On the one hand this is right. But on the other hand we can thy to let grow eco systems with more trees
The earth never stops changing so as climate regardless humanity.
This is an incredibly powerful tool to demonstrate climate change. Keep up the great work people!
This is amazing. We need to make sure we take care of our home
well we're not going to, its simply too late humans have already done irreversible damage to this planet
