But the real awnser is they don't know. That AI mind is too complicated to know what it's doing, they've given it the instructions "maximize user watchtime" and set it loose.

One question, Google always tells people to create a quality content, but why the scraped article still emerge, and the most useful one is not even ranked?
So basically, Google wants to simplify their algorithm, because people in the future will always be creating a unique article?
I mean, pretty much no one knows how google ACTUALLY chooses the most relevant results. If they did, every webpage would try to abuse the system (which they have been trying to do for a while, that's what SEO is). And most likely, google is using artificial intelligence to figure the algorithm out, which could mean that not even google itself knows what that algorithm is (which also happens with youtube recommendations)

They dont really know, its a neural net that is has the "goal" of making people stay longer on youtube. It takes a bunch of inputs about what you have watched, how many views the videos have, likes ect. And does a bunch of "evolved" math on them, and finally spits out what to recommend.

I read an entire book and several papers about the PageRank algorithm years ago. I am always here for entertainment and for ideas on how to make cool videos, "educational videos" on CZcams are mostly basic and often misleading.
