    even with low fuel economy, I never switched below map 7.
    its super fun to ride in rich fuelling mode

      How does it feel? Can you describe the difference against stock bike?

    • @kuttalu
      @kuttalu Před rokem

      @@BunToomo I used to have it on my duke 125,
      1)the bottom end torque changed a lot. 2)no need revv to the top, peak power of engine will get at 6k-8k rpm.
      3) Duke 125 is powerless machine, I used to apply both clutch and throttle to climb high elevations. but with rich fueling, just by throttling alone it does the job.

    High altitude needs lean maps. Meaning lesser fuel , so the ideal map for high altitude is map 1 and 2

    • @jls.mp4
      @jls.mp4 Před 2 lety +1

      that makes no sense. stock setting is 3, so you want to make a lean bike run even more lean?

    • @anirudhhhh
      @anirudhhhh Před rokem +3

      @@jls.mp4 Dude the air is thinner at altitude. So you cannot burn same amount of fuel when compared to sea level.
      You need to lean it out (meter in less fuel) to maintain correct air fuel ratio for a good burn.

    • @nnlniclb
      @nnlniclb Před rokem +1

      @@anirudhhhh what he said is the bike runs already lean at stock level and there's no need to go leaner even if altitude is high as the stock bike already runs too lean.

    • @vishaalpamulapati7035
      @vishaalpamulapati7035 Před rokem +1

      @@anirudhhhh you are correct and the stock setting isnt lean, the higher you go the lesser are oxygen level and if the fuel isnt in sync with the air levels then you would see a significant drop off is power.
      Thats the exact problem with the RE 650 twins.
      Richer fuel mix with settings 8-10 on the ktm adv 390 are significant only when the performance upgrades are made, otherwise setting 7 is the highest you would want to use ( I met with the race dynamics in blore and these details were given by them)

    The PowerTRONIC website says both the Lite and the Pro automatically adjust the mixture for temperature and altitude. If that is really the case, why do you need to make manual adjustments using the Pro? If the Lite's single map is equivalent to level 7 (very rich) on the Pro, what happens when I ride to 4000m here in the Andes. Even after exchanging emails with multiple people, including with PowerTRONIC, nobody has yet to explain this to me.

      in lite the map is set according to the manufacturer's convenience ... its just like one shoe fits all approach .. so in pro the adjustable 10 maps are designated for different occasion ... which will be more beneficial according to me ... they test lite version on their choice of bike system ... it may not suit well to ur bike and subsequently to different occasion..

      Yup a lot of premature carbon buildup. I think that will happen only at some of the higher settings. +1 or +2 from stock should not be detrimental. Companies definitely lean out the engine quiet a bit to meet emissions.
