    Now THAT was a great review! Why? Because even a numbskull like me, could grasp the concept without any technical knowledge. Plus: I’m now sold on getting both. But the kicker is that I don’t yet even have a Himalayan! That’s how good a salesman you are! You’ve got it all going on !

    Be very careful about choosing PowerTronic items of any kind. If you want more performance, find another way. My FuelX Lite worked good for 3 months, then started making engine stall and run erratically. I uninstalled and the bike ran fine. I figured like any reputable company, I could simply return it and get it exchanged under warranty. They refused to let me return it and demanded I reinstall it and video record the led lights to prove to them it was not my fault. Nowhere in their warranty does it state you must do this. They could have simply waited till I shipped it back and they could have tested it, but they refused. The last part of their warranty, states how they hide behind Bangalore court system.

    Any idea whether the Powertronic ECU add on will improve the performance characteristics of a Honda H’ness 350? Unlike the REs, I don’t see many Honda CB 350s with a piggyback ECU. Popular opinion is it doesn’t do much in the case of Honda CB 350s. Your expert opinion will be much appreciated.

    I don't think fuel x is with respect to o2 sensor. It's with the intake air temperature sensor which determines the air density. More air density will make the ecu inject more fuel and less density will require less fuel. Once above idling rpm the ecu switches to open loop mode and ignores signals from o2 sensor which is anyway narrow band in most bikes. According to the explanation given by you sir fuel x will only work during idle because that's the only time ecu is running in closed loop mode and accepting signals from o2 sensor and would be useless. Just a humble clarification from my side. Fan of your videos. Cheers.

    • @bigbearbangalore
      @bigbearbangalore  Před 8 měsíci +1

      The FuelX connects between the O2 sensor on the exhaust and the ECU.

    • @shonith91
      @shonith91 Před 8 měsíci +2

      O2 sensor will be in operation throughout the running of the engine. If we go by what your saying. Then what are the variables on which the ecu will adjust the fuel quantity after idling? Only on throttle input? If that is the case these engines will not be regulation compliant especially cox.

    • @mohanprasad998
      @mohanprasad998 Před 8 měsíci

      @@shonith91 I have mentioned closed loop and open loop operation. Throttle input tells torque demand, manifold absolute pressure will tell load on the engine, air temperature will determine fuel trim. These are variables for which values are mapped in tables and stored on the rom of the ecu. During idle torque demand is zero and speed is controlled by idle speed control valve by the ecu, there is predetermined af ratio for idle and the ecu takes o2 sensor readings only to make sure it's meeting a certain lambda value. My whole point is that if the ecu where considering o2 sensor reading while riding then it ought to be a wideband sensor and not a narrow band present in all bikes except a few high end German made. The reason why they operate on openloop is because at engines speeds higher than idle the reading from narrow band o2 sensors are not reliable.

    • @mohanprasad998
      @mohanprasad998 Před 8 měsíci

      @@shonith91 the reason why bikes don't use wideband sensors to dynamically adjust af ratio is because ithe ecu needs more computing power which significantly increases cost. Manufacturers test the engine under a multitude of conditions and come up with a map which will never allow a engine to operate under conditions where it would pollute more, the values in the map would be that docile that it would run the engine in a range of af ratio predetmined by the Manufacturer. In my opinion it's not only the o2 sensor but also the air pressure and temperature sensor that fuel x is plugged into (usually air temperature and pressure are read by a single sensor unit).

    • @shonith91
      @shonith91 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@mohanprasad998if we go by what your saying what corrective action will ecu take if during idling the af ratio is not as per the pre determined value?
      I would like to go through the source of your information because what you are saying might be true for very old fi engine. But it definitely contradicts my understanding of present emission regulations requirements. Now you cannot have an engine that doesn’t adjust after ratio regularly and still conform to regulations.

    Hi , I have a project with my duke 390 , I am buying an adn high flow cap filter ,a k&n high flow filter, I have a full system non catalytic exhaust "akrapovic"(Chinese)😂 and a gray area ktm injector . The question is a Fuel X lite configures all that well? Or do I have to buy a powertronic ECU? I really don't look for final speed, but the as optimal performance and if that gives me more horses is a plus ,but I look for smoothness and responsiveness ,with good performance , I love it but like it lacks something else 💪.

And if I want the injector than install a powertronic or rapid bike evo and take it to dyno. I just wanted to improve its efficiency but not invest so much money. I appreciate your guidance

      For full benefit of the electronic devices, an unrestricted exhaust and a performance filter helps deliver full potential. Stock exhaust deliveres a little less than full.

    Hi
    I have a Honda GB350 Australia. Or a Hyness in India.
    I feel by the sounds that I am getting pre ignition when pulling hard on 2nd or 3rd on very very steep hills over 3,500 rpm. Also in 4th on relatively flat roads when accelerating hard over 4,000 rpm before moving into 5th.
    I read somewhere that some ECU’s only use the O2 sensor up to 3/4 throttle. After that they use mapping only.
    Do you know if this is the case with the CB350.
    If this is the case. Any suggestions. Would either of these unit’s rectify
    Cheers
    Brian

When I am getting down from a flyover or approaching a signal and I am in the appropriate speed and gear, i face the pull and push as if the bike is lacking for petrol. Is this normal or a problem in the IC Mapping. Sorry I do not have Instagram id to reach you. The pull push happens in 3rd gear and sime time 2nd gear.
