I still believe that Wagner built the 8010 four wheel drives for John Deere back in the day. "IF" JD did in fact build them then they lost their shirts with the engineering/ development and VERY poor sales numbers that they had and then to recall all of them and replace the transmissions along with any other pieces in that recall.

some misinformation here. I don't think John Deere had an "agreement" with Wagoner to build tractors, rather, I am fairly sure that Deere bought Wagoner.

John Deere agreed to buy Wagner's 4WD ag tractor production with a 5 year non -compete clause. Wagner continued to build their industrial and logging equipment.
