Pens vs Red Wings on Thursday is gonna be a banger and brings back memories of the 08/09 rivalry. Plus the Pens still have a bit of a score to settle from getting griddy’d on last season lol

Really surprised he wasn't nominated for the Bill Masterton trophy. The player coming back from a huge injury/surgery like that usually wins it

Philly was hella reliant on Carter Hart's goaltending.
Goaltending save percentage since Hart: below .850 lmao. No wonder they've fallen off of a cliff. They have no goaltending.
Calvin Pickard, Oilers backup has had a good comeback season. Underrated. Emergency backup role for a cap strapped team when they were down and out. Saved the Oilers from having to make a move early for a goaltender potentially derailing their season. Pickard has been een solid all year.
Jonathan Quick is definitely the NHL Comeback player!
The pens are surging at the moment. I could see them shocking the world and knocking out the rangers/hurricanes. I would also love to see the caps get in too. One last Crosby v Ovi playoff series would be electric.

@OhNyquist You should do a ranking prospect videos for all playoff teams this season. See how their farm systems compare with most likely having low draft stock thie year and all. Plus, you enjoyed making the red wings one and these would be additional content during cup playoffs

I’m biased but idk how Freddie Andersen can’t be considered. He missed half the season with severe deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms. He could’ve died if it went unchecked, let alone risked his entire career, yet he’s been an absolute beast since he came back. Hell he seems somehow better than the start of the season

I saw the Leafs play in Montreal a number of years back. During intermission I went to the washroom and then was waiting in line to get another beer (I was wearing a Toronto shirt) when a random guy in a Habs jersey walked up to me. He said loudly, "Leafs fan!" and threw a glass of water in my face much to the amusement of most of the people around me. That's Montreal fan 'passion' as far as I'm concerned.

Under-rated comeback player, Danton Heinen. Was signed to a PTO, didnt even make the team out of camp, and is sniffing a 20 goal season and a half point per game player.

Even if the Pens don't end up making the playoffs, I think it'll be a massive locker room boost for next year tbh. Seeing all these young players come in and perform extremely well may convince Karlsson to stick around another year, and it'll give guys like Yager and Pickering some real NHL time to develop beside Sid and Letang.
This team is ready to win next season....need to offload stiffs like Smith, Graves, Rakell, Acciari (Carter finally comes off the books). Two good defensive signings and two more scoring threats. Can you imagine a sniper with Bunting and Malkin? How about a guy who will pot 30+ with Sid and Rust. Also need to fire the PP coach stat and fire Sullivan (although that is unlikely).

coming from an islanders fan, idk if the islanders will stay in 3rd place in the metro because they have a really tough remaining schedule, including 2 games against the league leading rangers. i really don’t know if they will stay in 3rd in the metro, but it’s definitely possible that they stay in the playoff picture. 10:33

Anything can happen in the playoffs, but that PK is ultimately going to be their downfall it's historically bad.

Re: The Guentzel trade - yeah Bunting is a good pickup but Guentzel is getting 1.5 points per game. 14 games, 21 points. Carolina did a good job.
Time will tell if the trade was fair but right now Guentzel is outplaying most other skaters
Yes but Sid is still rolling and Bunting got the Malkin line going. Malkin was saddled with stiffs all season and it was killing us.

So here's a question for u about tourism in Montreal but not being a French speaker. Is it easy for non-French speakers to get around the city etc? I know in Quebec basically all teh signs etc are in French and as someone who lives in Kingston and therefore its the same distance for me to go to Toronto for hockey concerts wrestling etc or Montreal but the thing Im concerned about is me being a English only speaker will I be discriminated against/its extermely difficult to get around Montreal as a non french speaker.
I live in mtl, since 2019. I don't speak French at all.
@@t2av159 so have U been discriminated against (for example price gouging because ur not French nor do u speak French) or refusal to be served in English as I've heard stories from a friend of mine where that happened to him because he doesnt speak French.
@@davidfitzpatrick6535that doesn’t really happen. As soon as I attempt French they realize I’m not French and they’ll switch to English. I’ve also been in QC for awhile and have had no issues. Even when interacting with non-English speakers they’re usually fairly understanding

The Washington game is the biggest game till they play the Pens Thursday. If they win both in regulation they're set up pretty nicely for playoffs. They can't get complacent but the pressure should be less after those two games in done and over witb

My guess is the Pens get it...... They are beating teams away from Pittsburgh, and that's what a playoff bound team needs to do. The Wings, like the Flyers, are too inconsistent and continue to choke. If the Wings get in the playoffs, it should be a likely exit as well from the playoffs. The Wings don't have a professional coaching staff that wins. They have Derek Lalonde, who should not be a head coach until he stops making excuses and learns how to win. Stevie Y needs to fire Lalonde and get rid of those UFAs who decided to not play and produce for the Wings after the trade deadline.

With the Pens playing the Islanders in the final game of the season, I'm hoping that the Pens move into the Metro's 3rd playoff spot and the Red Wings lockup the final Wild Card spot.
You’d need the isslanders to lose 3/4 of their final games for that to happen.
To be fair, the Islanders have been free falling the past couple weeks or so. Losing 3 out of their final 4 isn't out of the question.

@@lawrencemcstephens308the Isles have won 5 in a row now. Varly is locked in and they have Sorokin if he falters. The Isles are gonna make it in, whether it’s the 3rd seed in the Metro or WC #2.
@@ethanhirsch4750 Yeah, I realized that after I typed it. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that, haha! They are doing quite well, and Barzal/Horvat/Palmieri have been good for them in the scoring department. If Sorokin stays strong in the post season, they could make a run at least to the 2nd round, if not Conference Finals.
