- Lots of new parts for my dirtbike that should make a big difference on the trail. 12/52 sprockets, new chain, handlebars and more! I bought this 2003 Yamaha WR450F with a 478 Big Bore Kit. The bike has a few quirks that will need to be addressed but I think this is a good project bike for the channel. The Yamaha WR450F is an extremely versatile platform that I want to use for everything from a road legal dirt bike to eventually a snow bike. Stay tuned!

Thanks for watching!
I have a 15 to 48 tooth chain on my 2003 yz450f, and it fit just ok. I did have to modify the crank case guard though.
Interesting, how do you like that sprocket set up. Top speed must be nuts.
Looks like it’s coming along nicely. FYI 100$ Canadian tire bike lift. Had mine for years and it worked on my last 5 bikes
👍👍👍
Great video, that's looks fun, sure you will have some good time on that sweat 450 bike
Thank buddy!
Great video!! Bike coming along nicely. How are you liking the 12/52 gearing?
It is absolutely amazing. This thing is an absolute tank in the bush. Zero regrets
Looks like the rotation arrow is going the wrong way, was the tire mounted backwards possibly?
Wow good eye man! Yep bringing it back into work today
Did ya like the 12/52 combo, or did yoy end up going 13/52?
Considering changing my front sprocket on my WR. Thanks!
12/52 is absolutely incredible on the bike. Definitely keeping it
Hey, how do you like that big bore kit for the dual sport? I used to have a wr400, that was dual sport setup, I loved it and I have a theory that the smaller bore revved easier for the highway cruising, but I'm curious if the 450 or even better yet. The 478 Big bore had enough extra grunt to cruise at 65 to 70 mph. Without feeling labor. Some for long periods of time. Maybe the extra displacement gives it enough low end torque to pull that gearing without feeling pressed? Let me know your thoughts
I absolutely love it. I also have a pro circuit titanium exhaust, which both of these have really woken up the bottom end on this bike. I have tried to make this a pretty hard core bush machine with 12/52 sprockets as well. I am in love with this set up.
What is sprockets brand ?
Pretty sure the front is JT and the rear is a renthal. 12/52 sprockets has absolutely transformed this bike. So good.
