    My mom uses henna to dye her hair, mainly because she's self-conscious about her greys and henna doesn't have PBD in it like regular hair-dyes. (she became highly allergic to PBD, to the point where she had to take medication so it didn't kill her, although she still reacted pretty badly to it)
    The henna also made her hair healthier after she used it.

    *tips to keep it on longer for anyone who wants to get henna*
    1) paint olive oil over the henna before you go to bed then use the transparent wrap and cover it up
    2) Vaseline will work the same ways too
    3) lemon drops can also make it darker and last longer
    .... arabs (i'm sure desis and africans too) have been following these procedures for centuries to make it more pigmented and last longer!!

      Sorry it’s so late! Just wanted to give you some info on this CC Cream. It doesn’t actually adjust to your skin tone, if you look carefully into the product, you will see tiny black dots. This is pigment bubbles. So when you apply the product toy your face, the pressure will but the bubble of pigment making it turn from a white, to skin tone. So it doesn’t adjust to your skin tone, the pre - coloured pigment bubble just release the colour.

    Honestly to those who say this is cultural appropriation, I'm Indian and don't think so. As long as you aren't doing it because it's "trendy" and appreciate it. In fact, most people really enjoy when other cultures are fascinated or appreciate Mehendi. Don't hate on me, but on the other hand I feel like WHITE HENNA kinda is. It isn't even made by the leaf and is only "trendy" cuz of Coachella and online trends. It was never traditionally used and has no cultural significance.

      But it's not true bro .. white henna had been in use since rule of hindu lords.. though it wasn't mare from the stuffs she told but it was made from ' khari' .. a kind of naturally occurring calcium. It was used widely during monarchy in India, Bangladesh and srilanka .. so I must rectify u .. that ur idea about white henna is wrong

    The amount of people claiming henna is part of ONLY THEIR culture, and claiming it's called 'Mehndi' istg. Payal explained it's used in the Middle East, calm ur asses.
    Also, beautiful work Tina!

      it's actually called both henna and mehndi 😂😂😂
      a certain country or region cannot claim henna cuz it's used in many cultures and regions of the world
      Like some parts of Africa, in Arab countries, and the sub continent.

      Its for arabians not for partys its for arabic muslims i am arabian thats why i am explaining it

    • @kreeesqeeel
      @kreeesqeeel Před 6 lety +3

      Muslims and Arabs aren’t the only ones who wear it. Pakistanis, Indians, Afghanis, etc (basically anyone in the Middle East although not limited to) wear it. It’s not limited to Muslims and Arabs cause Hindus and others also wear them. Also, you can wear them at party’s like weddings (it’s kind of a tradition in these countries for women to wear henna on their hands when there’s a wedding although it’s not required) - it’s not limited to Eid. Mehndi - or henna as it’s more commonly known as in the west - can be worn anytime you want to wear it. It’s fun to put it on because the designs are awesome and look nice and sometimes you can smell your hands and it’ll smell nice, but I digress. يوميات فرح !!
      Fun fact if you’re not familiar with henna - sometimes women mix them into a paste and put them in their hair. You leave it in your hair for a while and then when you wash it, it gives your hair a nice reddish hue, although I don’t know what will happen if you put it in blonde hair
