The white hena would look beautiful with a white wedding dress : )
Asha's Adventures That's what I thought!
and a tan skin
Yeah but people like arabs and Indians tend to put brown bc it's traditional more than the white one
+Daloofy Ali yea and the white henna doesn't really last long
Asha's Adventures white henna isn't rlly henna, it's just body paint and it comes off rlly easily unlike henna
I love the way Tina set up this video. She brought in someone from that culture to explain the significance behind the custom and is obviously quite eager to learn. Good job!
Ignited Canvas right I LOVE that about her and the one with the braids also. Very respectful .😊

In Bengali Henna called Mahendi and we use it in every wedding and Eid by the way I am Muslim and also a Bangladeshi
Azahar Ali Sarder ya us too from yemen btw
@Azahar Ali Sardar - Uncle, amio Muslim ar Bangladeshi! Ami amar abbur account use korchi. Apni kon part of Bangladesh theke? Amar abbu ar ammu, Sylhet theke. Mehendi amra Eid ar wedding e use kori!
Ya same I'm bengali to
In telugu it is called as" gorintaaku"
We call it mehendi too XD I'm from Rajasthan
Am from India and this culture is really popular here..I also like put it on my hands ..it just awsm😍
My mom uses henna to dye her hair, mainly because she's self-conscious about her greys and henna doesn't have PBD in it like regular hair-dyes. (she became highly allergic to PBD, to the point where she had to take medication so it didn't kill her, although she still reacted pretty badly to it)
The henna also made her hair healthier after she used it.
JustYourAverageWeirdo I love henna
I use it to dye my hair too since it makes my hair red
Okay, but the artist herself is as beautiful as her work. ^_^
White henna will be perfect on white wedding dress😍
Prashant Rane yeah✨ I never thought about that
I can’t even draw on a piece of paper
Pirate Eilish 😂
Indians are talented.....
Anushka Sen not only Indians 😐
It's different than drawing on paper. Give it a try you may be good at it.
I can draw it by the way I am a pakistaini
I loved the way she was caring enought to talk about the culture behing it and searched for an indian women to explain. That was very respectful, I definitily don't think this is cultural apropriation. seriously, I wish everyone had the same respect that you have with cultures that are different than yours...
Very proud
Sometimes I call it Mehndi because I forget they call it henna here so and everyone looks at me like I'm crazy.
N G yeah I call it mehndi too......only after a while I found out it was called henna too
N G same 😂 and people would ask "whats that?" and i would correct myself to say "henna"
OMG, I call it mehndi too.
N G lol same
N G same
Tina please I request you one thing please try Indian bridal makeup look please at least once for your all Indian fans..
A humble request
Yes I would love to see her that look an I’m not even Indian!💕
shes not even indian tho... even if she did then im assuming she would get backlash and requests to try a bunch of more cultures. she would feel the need to overwork herself. with all due respect is that what u want?
@@shelleyl4019 lol stop thinking negative.
Yamini the thing is there are people who'll jump to conclusions and call her "racist" even though she's not. I don't want Tina to get hate even if it means not being able to see the video.
@Shree Patel sorry it's for u
Hey there!!
Lots of love from India, where henna originated!!
*tips to keep it on longer for anyone who wants to get henna*
1) paint olive oil over the henna before you go to bed then use the transparent wrap and cover it up
2) Vaseline will work the same ways too
3) lemon drops can also make it darker and last longer
.... arabs (i'm sure desis and africans too) have been following these procedures for centuries to make it more pigmented and last longer!!
OhheyitsSoumy thx❤
That was an amazing idea
OhheyitsSoumy I’m desi...yay
OhheyitsSoumy I appreciate you for stating Africans too because most people don’t suspect that Africans do a lot of things like this (sometimes, their the ones that start them). I’m Nigerian (American by nationality) :p ❤️
Lemon drops eork really good
henna is really popular in the middle east and africa as well. we have it done all. the. time.
love the henna on you and love that you loved it! 😍
It actually originated in Africa. But many people think it originated in India.
+Catherine M. The whole henna on the hands and hair begin in Arabia at the prophet Muhammad time then spread along Africa with the Africans trading with arabs and the culture of Islam also spread in Swahili another proof that henna originated in Arab soon later it spread to India and I learned this all in school so I know I'm right I didn't just google it
Lovely_Pink _Panda_14 that's right i'm so happy that there someone know our religion!!!!😍
i'm musulman
Ray Khai we bo ❤️
I absolutely loved this! It's amazing how different cultures produce beautiful art work to wear...
Beautiful! Best henna I'v seen so far. Super skillful!
Please try the Eborian CC Creme it starts of white and once you blend it in it changes colour and will adapt to your skin tone. It would be great for a new Tina Tries It. I've seen other youtubers try it but I would love to see it from your perspective
Bijal Patel she already did it 😉 check it out
WafflePlays MC oh thank you for letting me know I'll definitely watch it
Sorry it’s so late! Just wanted to give you some info on this CC Cream. It doesn’t actually adjust to your skin tone, if you look carefully into the product, you will see tiny black dots. This is pigment bubbles. So when you apply the product toy your face, the pressure will but the bubble of pigment making it turn from a white, to skin tone. So it doesn’t adjust to your skin tone, the pre - coloured pigment bubble just release the colour.
wow! I'm Indian and this is a part of our culture! and also a part of Pakistani and Arabic cultures! I'm in love with the designs!
gauri me too
*And East African culture :)*
Ikr! But I think Indian mehendi is much better ❤😍 (in my opinion)
Same I love it two
I am Pakistan
Your channel is so professional and enjoyable. Keep up the great work with interesting, cultural content.
She really is professional. Designs were so good and she was applying it by one hand.
Honestly to those who say this is cultural appropriation, I'm Indian and don't think so. As long as you aren't doing it because it's "trendy" and appreciate it. In fact, most people really enjoy when other cultures are fascinated or appreciate Mehendi. Don't hate on me, but on the other hand I feel like WHITE HENNA kinda is. It isn't even made by the leaf and is only "trendy" cuz of Coachella and online trends. It was never traditionally used and has no cultural significance.
But it's not true bro .. white henna had been in use since rule of hindu lords.. though it wasn't mare from the stuffs she told but it was made from ' khari' .. a kind of naturally occurring calcium. It was used widely during monarchy in India, Bangladesh and srilanka .. so I must rectify u .. that ur idea about white henna is wrong
nothing wrong with using henna as a temporary tattoo. or as you call it be trendy
my_youtube agreed.
Whats wrong with doing things because they are trebdy? People just like to have fun
Henna itself is trendy. I am arab and here we dont do it because of a deep meaning. Is not religious is not anything like that is only for BEAUTY. We do it to feel pretty in parties and celebrations thats it. Like an accesorie
Henna is very popular in middle east ! I'm from Afghanistan and people in my culture use henna in Eid, henna night and more 😆 so it's not only used in India
Najma didar agreed it's also very popular in the middle east as well
Yes we love henna , I'm arab(Bahraini).
KOOKIE DOUGH yo im bahraini too!!😍
Najma didar she did say henna is a part of many cultures
It's also used in some parts of east africa, too. I'm Somalian, and we also do henna the night before eid.
This video is so detailed and beautiful. I love it.💙
Her: I started henna when I was 12
Me: feels so special cuz I’m 12 and starting henna
I started when i was 10 im 13 now
Loved the idea of showing other beauty practices and cultures. I enjoyed this video a lot. Thanks Tina. Love from Brazil.
Mariana Marcus agree! I want to see more videos like this.
Mariana Marcus visit India.. our culture is beautiful. . You ll get an insight into spirituality too
I'm so so glad you got into the culture behind henna. Living in America, I see henna in places like Disney World and on beaches where it's not part of the culture. I see so many people during the summer time with henna, not even knowing what culture it is apart of
Well,it originated in Africa and the fact that henna was used to cover the feet while in the sand from the hot sun. It was used a medicinal treatment and later people decided to use it on their skin for decorations and fun. So its actually a people thing not just cultural
I'm part of the Hindu religion and me and my family do this all the time!!!!!😋😋😍😍
Same here❣️😬😉

Me lookin’ at Tina’s nails and missing out on the henna😂
This was awesome Tina!!
That's mehendi in hindi I am from India.lots of love ❤️
Hi Tina! Those are beautiful henna designs. I fell in love with henna back in 2004, during a vacation I took in Morocco, I live in Baltimore, Md, U.S.A. Ever since then, I get henna on my hands, my back and feet. I've never had the white henna, only the brown but it does look beautiful. And it looks beautiful on you, she did a great job. I love your nails and the protection against evil eye is a nice detail. Thanks for all your videos and tutorials, you and Alfred are awesome... much love!
GIRL I HAVE BEEN BINGE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS ALL DAY AND I CANT STOP, also I love how you change your hair in almost every video
the white one is so beautiful I want to have some of it for my wedding day
Omg thats amazing...finally you tried something which i love the most... do try some of my henna designs as well, as they are unique and easy as well...:)
Mehndiartist_Hira i always watch your vidoes and mehdi designs they are great
The white is lovely and looks like lace gloves
The black henna doesn’t do anything it’s so good on the white skin 🤩♥️
MIRO Army
The black has car oil in it and hair colour what will make your skin red or bumps that will burn you and hurt you
I love Henna! I wear Henna when I have Eid, a wedding, or when for Ramadan.
any one else from Pakistan we use henna alot and now that eid ul azha is round the corner many people here are applying it including me!

6:43 the blank stare Payal had when Tina asked talked about what she'd be doing after university is me whenever i'm asked about college
Caitlin same
I really like that she got someone to talk about the fast n info about henna
I love the white henna but they both look beautiful
i started practising henna or mehendi when i was 9 and now i am 13 and i do great henna
i do it to my family members and myself when there is a function or something and i first draw it on a paper to plan out the design and i might say this is a really hard skill to conquer its not easy to just pipe out some paste into a beautiful design.....
Whoa! you are great. I love the way you try new and different things. I just loved your this idea.😘😊
I luv Tina's hairrrrrr 😍
You can use henna on your hair too! And if you mix some coffee powder in it and it makes a burgundy colour and it amazing how healthy it makes your hair
I think you should try asain bridal makeup. It would be soo awesome and its is really beautiful
Oh WOW! I love the white henna! She is just an amazing artist! I love that you *have* to lounge around afterwards!! What a wonderful break from all the chores! 😹😹😹
The henna patterns are really pretty. It has been a very long time since I had it.
Love it Tina! 💜 Notification SQUAD! 🦄
your hair's so pretty 🌹
Love your channel, you clearly aknowledge that it is from a different culture but educate yourself and help us educate ourselves about what it is that you’re doing to yourself.
watching henna get done is the probably the most satisfying thing ive seen ever
My grandaunt used to dye her hair a red colour with henna to keep it strong and healthy.

Your hair is getting pretty and pretty!!!! ilysm your so pretty and I hope you reach your go for 2 million 💕💞
The amount of people claiming henna is part of ONLY THEIR culture, and claiming it's called 'Mehndi' istg. Payal explained it's used in the Middle East, calm ur asses.
Also, beautiful work Tina!
It is called mahdi sometimes
@Somaiya Alam exactly its got a other in different country that's what we are stating
Why your ass is burning...
Yeah you are rightt❤️❤️🙏🏻 I am Moroccan too🤗الأمازيغية ⵍⵎⵖⵔⵉⴱ
it's actually called both henna and mehndi 😂😂😂
a certain country or region cannot claim henna cuz it's used in many cultures and regions of the world
Like some parts of Africa, in Arab countries, and the sub continent.
that white henna design was amazing wow
That looks so awesome!
LETS GET TINA TO 5M OR 3M :)

white henna is just so pretty 😍
I love the white henna, it is very elegant and cute especially with the flowery mid arm design. I don't know a lot about henna so sorry if I'm not making any sense or am saying some of the terms wrong.
Sole Survivor lol I would wear it my wedding 😂 but I want to be more respectful of other cultures 👍
Its for arabians not for partys its for arabic muslims i am arabian thats why i am explaining it
Muslims and Arabs aren’t the only ones who wear it. Pakistanis, Indians, Afghanis, etc (basically anyone in the Middle East although not limited to) wear it. It’s not limited to Muslims and Arabs cause Hindus and others also wear them. Also, you can wear them at party’s like weddings (it’s kind of a tradition in these countries for women to wear henna on their hands when there’s a wedding although it’s not required) - it’s not limited to Eid. Mehndi - or henna as it’s more commonly known as in the west - can be worn anytime you want to wear it. It’s fun to put it on because the designs are awesome and look nice and sometimes you can smell your hands and it’ll smell nice, but I digress. يوميات فرح !!
Fun fact if you’re not familiar with henna - sometimes women mix them into a paste and put them in their hair. You leave it in your hair for a while and then when you wash it, it gives your hair a nice reddish hue, although I don’t know what will happen if you put it in blonde hair
@@san7834 its a Pakistani thing too, arabs aren't too big on henna
Sarah A Sorry I was 11 years old when I wrote that comment so I did not know about henna alot
Now I am 12 almost 13 don’t mind me and my stupid comment

Will you do a follow up on the henna? How long each lasted for you and how the brown henna turned out?

Henna isnt a cultural appropriation thing anyways.
