      You are correct, this technology is a dream come true !!! but now I’m just gonna wait until they make it in 100 inches.

    Finally, a REAL review of one of their TVs! We've been waiting for ANY objective information on this for a long time, as all there is to go on is ProMa's information. - It sounded like you were describing ghosting which is to be expected with glasses free, and only gets worse with stronger depth. But the part about warping was odd. Is it more than 2 views that can be seen from different angles? If so, that may be artifacts from on the fly stereo to multiview which can degrade the original. - It's cool that it exists, but doesn't seem like it would please either most 3D fans or 3D newcomers at that price point, which is a very expensive toy. Much better to use that same amount for an AWOL 4K3D laser projector, or even less for a full long throw projector setup.

    Absolutely terrific review. I would recommend you add "Glasses Free 3D" to the title of the video, so you get more views. Also, and speaking of 3D movies, would be nice for you to test a movie with subtitles to see how the tv displays them. There are lots of amazing foreign movies that need to be viewed with subtitles, and it would be nice to see how this tv deals with subtitles. Really looking forward to a follow up video where you go deeper into this amazing tv's capabilities.

      Great point, I completely forgot to bring this up. It automatically displays the subtitles in 3D! Sometimes they look perfect, but on the high depth setting sometimes they pop out more and look very fuzzy. It's a bit unstable. Still readable though even when it isn't clear

    Remember to inform us what the price of this 55” inch screen is. Is it $3,000 or $10,000? Of course i can look it up online but its nice if you mention it in the video.

    Awesome review Josh, the first two questions you answered were really top of mind! I've been hoping glasses-free 3D TV's like this were going to be made in bigger sizes, so 55" seems great. But while the $5000 price tag makes sense, it's hard to justify! I'd rather go on holiday this Summer, but then again it's so freaking cool. Argh you're killing me here! Haha ^_^

      I've actually never had the chance to try gaming on my PS3 in 3D (can be seen sitting there next to my PS4 Pro in the video), so that's something I'm definitely eager to test out! Hopefully in an upcoming video.

    How are the colors compared to OLED?
    Brightness?

    • @josh_3D
      @josh_3D  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks! I think the colors are great, but not quite at the level of an OLED. Still doesn't bother me one bit in terms of the brightness and vividness. More than enough for me personally.

    thanks for all the info!! I am kind of an "old" guy whose technical knowledge ended with the install of laserdisc machine on my system. Though i did manage to attach a blu ray player with success and can use active glasses on my SONY TV. So just checking in here.....question: i would only need to replace the TV?? Everything else remains the same....even the 3D blu ray player??

    I ordered the iphone Max 15 3D Screen Protector. Where do you place Leia Pad 2 Pictures on the iphone and do the pictures need an additional conversion for viewing? I am thinking about getting the 65 inch 3D TV set.

    • @josh_3D
      @josh_3D  Před 11 dny

      Thanks for watching and ordering the screen protector! Any photos you take with the Lume Pad 2 just need to be “shared” one at a time from Leia Player as SBS output. You can share to Google drive, then download to your iPhone photo album. Then all you need to do is open the photos in the app 3Dfan and you can view in 3D. If you get the TV definitely let me know how you like it!

    Hi.. I make documentary videos for exhibitions. With 3D glass free TVs do I need to edit and output on 2D and it translates automatically into 3D?

    • @josh_3D
      @josh_3D  Před měsícem +2

      With 2D content you would need to have it converted to 3D, then view on the TV. I recommend waiting for Leia Inc to release their 2D to 3D conversion service to the public. With their paid service you will be able to convert any of your videos into beautiful 3D and display them on this TV or any other glasses free 3D TV. The TV technically does have has an automatic conversion feature, but the quality is really bad. Leia Incs conversion quality is superb

    Is this a recent tv and u can use a ps3 or ps4 how do it compare to the Acer laptop

    • @josh_3D
      @josh_3D  Před měsícem +2

      It is a new model from this year. I haven't tested enough gaming on it to say for sure, but overall it isn't as sharp as the ACER laptop in 3D including the clarity of depth and pop-out. Good for movies, but I'll have to play around with gaming and probably will make a video specifically about that. It can display anything that is SBS in 3D, so it should work with ps3 games that have a SBS mode

    • @nunocampos1805
      @nunocampos1805 Před měsícem +3

      @@josh_3D Several PS3 games have a frame-packed mode at 720p30fps. The Motorstorm games look great in 3D on a projector. On the PS4 you also have some games with the same specs. The first three Trine games look great in 3D. Would love for a follow up video addressing gaming and whether or not the tv supports the frame packed mode at 720p resolution.

    • @josh_3D
      @josh_3D  Před měsícem +1

      @@nunocampos1805 I'm planning to test that out in an upcoming video. I haven't tried gaming in 3D on my PS3 before, so I'm looking forward to testing it out and hoping it works!

    I have seen glasses-free 3D over the years, the last a prototype that Dolby was going to release. The problem I have found is that these displays cannot produce effective "pop out" forward effects without glasses. You mention "pop out" in your review, but are you really seeing the kind of "in your face" projection of an image from your TV where it comes out a great distance forward? I can't see this even being possible without eyewear.

    This doesn't compare to my 6 year old LG OLED 3d Passive 55" TV, the glasses are so light I don't notice them on, No distortion, 4k upscaled 3d, I got it used $400.

  • @user-jj4sq6dr1n
    @user-jj4sq6dr1n Před 6 dny

    3.5 meters is way too far to sit away from a 55 TV. my old passive 47 inch LG with glasses will work within 6 feet. with 55 inch you would want it to work at 2 meters (6ft 7) minimum. looks like early days with glasses free 3DTV. HOLOGRAM TV might be another term for them. it will be great when they get clear pop out that goes right up to your face

    • @josh_3D
