This was so fun and you both were very inventive. 👍 Hopefully there's a next one soon. You should have Dave pick all the budget ingredients. Get 2 of everything, then both you and your brother can be surprised by what's there. See what you each decide to create out of the same ingredients.

This was both hysterical and insightful!! I just love the way you two are with each other. There are too many siblings in the world that don't even speak to one another. We should stop for food on the way, the screw you ingredient, they will all be screw you ingredients, my level of confidence, snowballs, Lucky Charms, and a hundred other things going on that were funny, yet touching. Chopped on a Budget should become a reoccurring series. Great job to both of you!! And Dave, the amount of bravery you showed was astronomical!!

This video is a home run. Think you found a new way to create recipes. With so many people on a tight food budget a great depression approach to cooking is fantastic. Trying to make an edible meal from misc. ingredients is great. Some new yummy recipes just waiting to happen.

As a New Mexician, I am proud to see Hatch Chile in Idaho. My mom lived in Hatch for awhile. They have so many different strains of Hatch Chile. I love this video idea! I sent this video to my sister this morning out of excitement.
P.S. I love wooden toys for my daughter. He birthday was 2 days ago, but Christmas is definitely coming!
I get super excited when I see others using Hatch chile, too! It’s also satisfying knowing it’s not Colorado chile 😆
I tried to germinate hatch Chile seeds but it didn't work out so I'll try again next spring. Hopefully I'll be able to buy some land by then....

Agreed with a lot of people in the comments. You and your brothers rendition of chopped was a hit!!! That should definitely be a thing. Even if he's just visiting, in the future you both could do a virtual chopped. You could write random ingredients on some sheets of paper and draw. Same rules. You would draw ingredients for each other. Document on video purchasing the ingredients drawn for you and the preparation. Combine the videos a la Somers In Alaska style. And then have us the audience vote on presentation and creativity. The only downside is we couldnt vote on taste.
Omg I love chopped we will do it with young boys great way to get their minds flowing! Your baby but tall brother ( i have 1 of those also ) laugh had me giggling he is funny. His kitchen stove is beautiful work! That snowball curve 😉
