I once made a list of older guys who were the heavyweight champs. Even just looking at heavyweight, specifically, there were way more than I expected. Even Foreman famously came back from retirement and won the title in his mid 40s. That was during a very competitive time in boxing. The guy he beat , Michael Moorer, was 35-0 with 27 knockouts going into that fight. He had beaten Evander Holyfield for the title. And Foreman knocked him out cold.
Now look at Tyson. Even at 57, that is Mike Tyson. Potentially the most aggressive, natural born "killer" in boxing history. His biggest downfall is his overwhelming number of demons he's battling with. He was having to fight grown men when he was 14 and they couldn't handle him. He is argued to be truly "unbeatable" at 19 years old. He became the youngest person to win the Heavyweight title in history. He is God's blueprint to the world for a purpose-built warrior is supposed to be. The only thing that has ever stood in his way is drugs/alcohol, and he is now sober. The man standing across the ring from him? The "man" who is reigniting the old flame and waking the sleeping giant?
