During the 2021 Historic Rally Festival at Weston Park I have filmed this extremely loud Chevrolet 'Chevy' V8 Powered Firenza Can Am rally car. I believe this is possibly the loudest rally car in the world, fitted with a side exhaust system, it could be heard from start to finish of the rally stage, almost sounds like a Nascar!

WRC Works Teams Should Watch This,We Don't Want Electric Rubbish !!!!

Wow that's like thunder and lightning all at once, that has to be up there with the best sounding rally cars of all time.
That`s a BEAST. Fan Flipping Tastic
Severely traction limited - love the sound - absolutely extraordinary!
She's just a bit heavy but is a beast
Wow what a machine!!
Always loved the Firenza but that’s an animal!!
Sounds amazing!
Love it 👍
Mesmerizing sound
Amazing. A symphony. Not for sneaking about in....
Awesome Machine....
Remember seeing one like that in the Lurgan park rally many years ago.
We had the know as"" little Chevy""--(v8 motor racing )blue/white colours)on our race tracks in south africa those years-a real beauty/monster
music to my ears
Sounds fantastic. Great car too.
Oh my. I'd love to get me one of these.😍
Very cool! Would have been nice to see it rallying alongside mk2 escorts, stratos and other group 4 cars of the mid 70s.
Reminds me of old episodes of the Dukes of Hazard 😅🔥
Numbah 9 🎉
puresouth african built and desighned by basil van rooyen in tthe 70s
BRÜLL TOB BRÜLL !!!!
Awesome car. Been better if they knew where they were goin lol.
Tony Pond he definitely ain't...🤣
Everyone makes mistakes. I've seen that car being peddled around the drift/rally circuit at Oulton Park, which has ground glass mixed into the tarmac, plus gets watered to reduce grip. It was steered from the rear the whole way round.
The difference between this car and the cars Pond and every Works driver ever drives is that they don't have to pay for them if they smash them up. It's easier to be a Hero when you aren't paying for damages.
A Welsh nutter I know binned his Mk2 Escort Saturday just gone. Damage all down the right hand side and broken steering. I happen to know he put £120k of his own money into building that car. And he built it himself, so he wasn't paying for labour either. £29k for a Millington Diamond 2.5 litre engine, £13k for a sequential gearbox, £6k for a fully floating 6 linked rear axle. Etc. Etc. Playing with rally cars gets expensive very quickly.
Easy for a works team with unlimited funds. In 2015, the entry fee for a two car WRC team for Rally GB was £44,000. I know because I was doing service for friends who entered the National event. Only two days and a lot fewer stage miles, but their entry fee was £1500. We had mechanical issues and the car only did 13 stage miles in total, but the event cost us £8000. That's £615 per mile.
wow
The ultimate lead-tipped arrow! Arrives at a corner very fast then has no turn-in.......
Sounds almos as nice as group B. I d love to se WRC circus to move over US.
Sounds almost as good as a 6R4 Howling through a forest at 9000RPM
It sounds better
Crikey its a viva 😂😂
Vauxhall ?
Yes! The last actual Vauxhall before opal/Vauxhall merger
Crusaders
Suff Effriken.
WRC has become crap, historic rally for me.
In Rüsselsheim, Germany,
Boss , look what the South Africans have done to our Kadett.
Help help, they've gone insane !!
Sack to co pilot
Nice Vauxhall ! You know what going to take that back .must be american.it.can not do handle corners. Baby Bertha/old nail
Can't drive.................
Hmmm. I can come up with all the reasons that what you've said is a load of b*llocks but what's the point?
That is the most angry car iv ever heard.
