@@Rudywtf Yeah sadly you and a lot of other people decided to stop watching when we lost dogs instead of continuing. It's sad for us because we still do what we do, and we still make memories with our dogs all the time. Yes, loss sucks, but imaging being us. . . .

There’s just something about an old dog, looking into their face, that brings every ounce of love out of my body. I’ve raised 17 now and have been lucky enough to bring most of them to old age. It’s not fair their little lives are so short. Love to you both!
I have had many as well. The last left me 11 years ago. The sweetest little thing. Even potty trained herself. I had 4 dogs at the time...she just did what they did. If she were human, she would of been the kindest, but humans are not that kind. When she left...I just couldn't. It shook me that hard. Although I've had pets since and I love wildlife and they all show up at my place. Wherever I live. I don't trust people that don't like animals. I don't hate them, but I certainly don't trust them and just as well, we would have absolutely nothing in common. My life is my kids, nature, and critters..domestic and wild. People who don't care for animals are lacking that place in their heat that only an animal can fill. You certainly feel the void when they leave.
10+ years for them is perceived as much longer as their reality is in slow motion compare to us.

I know exactly how you feel...i have had many pets..my 3 oldest cats all died within a year of each other..they were, 24, 22,21.. Had them all from birth n in death they died in my arms...i lost a whole lot losing them 3.. Its been rough..my pets have been more of a friend n companion, then any human i have ever known...i agree so much that if a human doesn't like an animal i will not trust them, nor will i have anything to do with them...God bless you for all those you took care of...❤

Omg poor sherp. That was hard to watch. Sweet boy. We will never have enough time with our pets. It’s such a blessing to watch them live out their entire life but becomes so hard when we start to see they r getting older. Enjoy evry minute w him as u always do. Time is so precious. The great part is clearly Sherpa doesn’t feel his age & is still running and playing like he always has. That is beautiful to see. I luv watching u guys as u always bring a smile to my face. I truly mean it. Thank you both

it is true. our curse is we can last 70-odd years, our animal only for 10-20, give or take. the only upside is we get to rescue/adopt & run with a few more of them in our time. I'd have kept Every Cat I ever lived with. But I would Not have missed out on a single one I took up with.
At 76 years old, I empathize with Sherpa. Mobility is a blessing. What a gift 🎁 you are Jamie.
I have five years on you, and have seen many loved companions (of several species) go on ahead. If my dogs aren’t waiting for me, I plan to ask for a transfer.

Old men often misjudge their mobility, I guess Sherpa needs to get used to not being a spring chicken anymoren.
He thinks he’s still a puppy.
It creeps up on you even when as a human being you have the ability to intelectualize it.
Dogs, without that ability are constantly surprised by it - unless of course they become injured which is what happened to sweet Sherpa

I have a boxer girl and she is 11 now. In her head she wants to bounce around, run like the wind and take sharp turns. But her body can't keep up. Often she stumbles and falls. It's heartbreaking to see them grow old. But she will always be my baby girl.
