Titan I Nuclear Missile Silo - May 25th, 2024

Diving at the Titan I nuclear missile silo near Royal City, Washington, is a unique and thrilling experience. The dive begins with a descent through an old emergency escape hatch, leading into a staging area known as the "ready room." From there, divers navigate through flooded tunnels, filled with remnants of the original equipment, to reach the main missile silo.
The silo itself is a deep dive, reaching depths of around 110 feet, and since there's no ambient light, it also qualifies as a night dive. Divers must be advanced certified and equipped with proper lighting. The eerie, submerged environment features rusted beams, wiring panels, and other relics from the Cold War era, creating an atmosphere of raw adventure and historical intrigue.
