Man, that little fish makes me feel very irrelevant for some reason. All these different creatures experiencing reality in some form. The idea of some fish being born and living out it's entire life inside a single little pool of water 3.5 hours deep into some mostly unknown cave is about the loneliest thing i can think of, and there are millions upon millions of creatures in similar situations. Darwinism is such an ice cold indifferent reality to come to terms with, it's no surprise people have been trying to come up with literally anything else to explain this sort of stuff. I find it endlessly fascinating at the same time though
God says in the Quran:
"Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart? And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"
The first part of the verse is clearly talking about the Big Bang theory that world had a starting point, and that the whole universe was once a mass which then split apart and started expanding since then(which is clearly mentioned in the Quran)
The second part is mentioning that God created from water every living thing, which is also true according to modern science.
70 to 76% of the majority of living species' bodies is water.
Also while searching for life on other planets, we try to see if there is water on that planet or not. Wherever there is water, there is also life; like that fish in the small pool in the cave.
i think about this a lot with those really isolated tiny islands in the pacific. right now, those islands exist and there are animals there just doing their thing. the world is huge!
Bro had an existential crisis over a fish
@@GwynTheGoon i have an existential crisis over many mundane things i see every day, but i have neurological problems i think so by all means dont take anything i say at face value and dont think about this stuff
The universe is a cold, dark place, and I’m not sure there’s anyone or anything that cares about us. If there is, then it’s way beyond our current imagination.

That fish was a sculpin. Pretty cool to see. Some cave species have been split from other species in recent years so it would be interesting if this population is just found in caves or if they just wandered in there which they are also fond of doing
I thought sculpin too! I wonder what it's doing there, all the sculpins I know are saltwater and I assume that cave is freshwater 🤔
Edit: I looked it up and the "mottled sculpin's favored habitat is well-oxygenated and clear water, such as over gravel riffles in mountain streams, springs, and along rocky lake shores."

Judging but those rocks, the entire cave seems to flood periodically. Imagine you were down there when an unexpected storm starts pouring.
It can never flood, that's impossible.
@@robertjeffrey5560 Never is a long time. Very improbable. How else do you get smooth walls and rocks then?
@@robertjeffrey5560 it's true, how else did the rocks smoothen itself? it's not like water isn't a key factor in changing these rocks in which obviously it is.
another example is the mud.
Caves don't flood(at least not the one's on dry land) , the reason the walls are wet is simply humidity and caves are formed from water sipping into the earth and it is always 100% humid cuz there's no way for evaporation to take place

You guys are nuts! I love you guys.
Exploring a cave for the first time was an eye-opening experience, revealing a fear I never knew I had: claustrophobia. As I descended into the depths, the sense of confinement amplified my anxiety. Despite knowing I was physically capable, a persistent fear lingered, convincing me I might not find my way back.
Watching my brother disappear into narrow crevices triggered an instinctual reluctance, yet the fear of isolation compelled me to follow suit. The fear of abandonment outweighed the fear of the unknown, propelling me into spaces I initially deemed impassable.
Water added another layer of intensity, intensifying the eerie atmosphere. The unnerving combination of enclosed spaces and water heightened the entire adventure, making it a harrowing yet unforgettable escapade.

Anyone watched " The descent " movie?
In case anyone was wondering the fish towards the end (@14:55) is a sculpin, I think it may be a banded sculpin or a mottled sculpin. For the location it's most likely a mottled sculpin.
Here's some facts if anyone's interested:
Sculpins live in cave streams, springs, and surface streams. Individuals will migrate between underground and aboveground habitats, with adults more often being found in the cave portions of streams and juveniles in surface springs and streams. Sculpins use stream pools and areas under rocks that offer more protection to hide in..You can find them in both pool and riffle areas with a variety of substrates including silt or gravel, as seen in this video. Just something interesting I thought I'd put out here. Pretty cool that they happened to see one as some sculpins are endangered species, such as the grotto sculpin.
Where is the water pumping from and how did the sculping fish got in there?
Scrolled looking for a comment explaining the fish, thank you
@@waikikiki8615 the cave is a limestone karst cave, so basically the cave was formed by the flow of water eroding the limestone over millions of years. The fish probably swam down stream into the cave from a surface portion of the stream.
