2022 Dahlia and Cutting Garden Tour 👩🌾💐✂️
Thanks for the great review of dahlia varieties! keep making us happy with new videos. Greetings from Ukraine.
Hi Oleg!! Thank you for your kind comments! I’m excited to share more of our dahlias! Sending you and everyone in Ukraine my love. 💗
I love Daliya flowers
Me too! Dahlias are definitely in my top three favorite flowers! 🥰
I love watching your Dahlia tour. Thank you for sharing. I hope someday you can film a video about when and how you dig up your dahlias. 😍 and also if you can show us please how you store them during wintertime?
Thank you. Sharing your beautiful garden.
Glad to have you back. Your dahlias are so pretty. Love it so much.
Thank you friend, it’s good to be back and to share our flowers with you all. 💗
Beautiful dahlias. Your love for them is magical.
Claudia, the red mystery dahlia looks like the Intrigue, it has that glowing hot pink quality in real life that is hard to capture on camera. It has dark stems and dark green foliage. I grow that one for the second year and it’s one of my favorites now. I am 99% certain that what yours is. Also I do have Cafe Au Laut like yours that is producing singles/doubles with open centers. The plant itself is taller than the original Cafe. My guess it cross-pollinated or something.
Oh my gosh thank you so much for helping identifying it, I think you right! I am going to cut a few stems and compare it agains more pictures, but I think you totally nailed it! ❤ That's what I was thinking about the Cafe au Lait too. I don't know why, but I am actually really drawn to it with its open centers. You mentioned you also have a Cafe au Lait doing the same thing, is this the first year that particular plant is doing that?
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia I like the open center on the Cafe as well, they look so good in arrangements too. This particular plant did the same last year so something is definitely up with genetics. It’s funny how they started earlier in the season with two rows of petals and now switched to a single. Still pretty.😃 I am sure in a professional world they might be rejected but in my world they are beautiful.😄
Glad to see you back…my favorite gardener
Well that just made my entire week! 💗
Missed your video updates! Love your dahlias- so gorgeous ❤. I need to send you some pictures of the ones that made it from my first dahlias ever in my raised beds, so thanks for the video on your beds! Update: I was able to buy appleblossom and cafe au lait this time with the gift certificate, so thank you thank you!! 😊
Yay!! I know we took a break but hopefully it won’t ever be this long again.
How are you liking Appleblossom and Cafe au Lait? I would love to see pictures! You can always send them via email or direct message through our Facebook or Instagram pages. 💗
The thumbnail that you have for this video is perfect! You have one of the most beautiful smiles that I have ever seen! So beautiful! ♥️♥️♥️🇺🇦🇺🇸
Thank you for your kind words. 💗
Thanks for the walkthrough with flower names. Your garden is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Aww thank you Sven! I am happy we get to share our space with you all. 💗
I do the same with the cucumber beetles. They like my Dahlias. Smoosh them as soon as I see them.
Wow healthy growing & good information with shering ❣️
Ty for the dahlia tour! Beautiful! It is very helpful seeing the entire plant! & Yes those are leafminers.
Aww thank you! I find it helpful to see the entire plant too. Ugh I knew it! I haven’t had them on any plants in the past, was so upset. 😭
@Coast to Coast Home and Garden Maybe this is just me, in my area, but I have never sprayed, (Because I only spray if I see something getting out of control) And I've seen them before on my nasturtium & a couple other things, And it's never gotten out of control... if that makes ya feel any better!
I sooo love Crachton Honey 😍😍😍Unfortunately, I cannot get it in UK, it is an American variety. Your dahlias are so beautiful
do you have a video on how and where to cut the dahlias for your bouquets?
So beautiful! You inspire me to try out dahlias.
That makes me happy to hear! You’ll love them.
Coast. Enjoyeed.you did gorgeous ~ take care-
Hi Claudia, Greetings from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving 🧡🦃🧡
I'm guessing you celebrate both Thanksgivings, you are so close to the border👍
Thanks for the tour and I'm glad you are back to making videos 👩🌾👍
Hi Peggy, how are you? I thought of you and everything happening in Florida, I hope you all stayed safe. I actually don't know much about Canadian holidays, but would love to learn more. I am in Oregon, but we are definetly planning a trip up to Canada this next year. 😀
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia Hi Claudia, We survived Hurricane Ian 🌀
We did have some damage and cleanup, but nothing structural 👍🙏👍
I do remember that you are in Oregon and yet I always picture you in Vancouver. Duh!
Have a great week My Dear 💓
The unnamed at 10:48 is Tempest
You are the sweetest lady! Thank you for the dahlia tour. God bless you and Sergei. I have a channel (not gardening) and I know it's a lot of work. You are doing awesome! 🌺
Aww thank you! That is so kind of you to say. What is your channel name? I would love to subscribe. 💗
IRES MACHADO DE SOUZA NERVIS São Lourenço que linda está flores
Such a wonderful flower farm you have. You've done an excellent job in the garden!! I love seeing all of the different varieties......so many of them I want to try. Especially the collarettes. I'm stunned at how closely you plant your Dahlia's and how long the stems are. I'm wondering if planting them closer together helps with the stem length?? My Dahlia's get SO BIG and BUSHY. I have a difficult time corraling them. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions for me? Thank you so much for the tour. You have been missed!!
I am so envious of your dahlias! I planted two tubers, they both sprouted. One of them is as tall as me but no flowers. 😢 I’ve been growing them since late June and at this point I’m calling it quits.
Ohh I’m so sorry to hear that. 💔 Are they getting plenty of sun?
Rock Run Mae perhaps for that coral unnamed flower
Thank you. ❤️
So beautiful! I love how passionate you are about all of your dahlias. What was your verdict on the 8 inches apart planting space?
Aww thank you!! They were crowded, but honestly I didn’t mind it. I kept the pretty trimmed, so it wasn’t so bad.
hi! what do you fertilize your zinnias and sunflowers with and how often?
Brecks has Polka, although they are an import company; it might be worth getting one from them. 🐝
What was the water lily peach one right before you got to labyrinth? Right after totally tangerine
Beautiful!, What zone are you in?
Aww thank you Rosemary! I garden in zone 8b here in Oregon.
Where do you buy your dahlias?
Beautiful, you do not stake your dahlias?
Hi Astrid! I do, different years I try different methods. The shorter ones I can get away with not staking, but if they are 4 ft or taller I typically will. They really start to fall over in the fall time when the winds pick up, so it really helps.
I have Figaro mixed Dahlia from a greenhouse. It grows up to 18 inches. Do I need to still pinch them?
You could, but I am sure once you start harvesting or dead heading, they will continue producing more blooms, so I think your fine not to pinch them.
Arrowhead Dahlias features Polka.
Thank you so much Thomas! 💗
which ones would you say have the most blooms?
Oohhh that’s a tough one. A lot of the collarette ones bloom a lot for me, same with Jomanda.
I have polka! I ordered 4 cafe a a latte from a supplier but instead I received 4 polkas . Polka is not my style you can have her
I love your honesty lol! She’s not for me. 😂 I got my hands on a couple, maybe I will keep them in a pot just in case they aren’t my cup of tea either.
Do white dahlia produce buds ?
Hi Charlotte! Yes they do! 😍
Thanks 👍
