9:20 thank you for setting all of them out on the table and labeling them! I am sure that took quite a bit of time to do 💚
It only took her this morning to create- she has to be part Alien! LoL
@@alw5101 Right!? That would take me hours haha
@@bluebirdhomestead I couldn’t imagine the time and effort I would have to put into making that look half as nice as she did! My mouth dropped open when I saw it this morning- she is beautifully blessed and gifted🥰✨🤍
@@alw5101 Indeed! She really did such a nice job! “Picture perfect” ☺️☺️☺️
12:54 that looks a bit like Cornel Bronze
Thank you for taking the time to label them and place them all out on a table! What a treat. The amount of work you put into your videos is MUCH appreciated. 💌
Oh my word you guys!!! (as Laura would say) I know this is your business - you have been very open about that, but this was over and beyond! Your generosity for others and the help you give us is unmatched! This may basically be about gardening but you and Aaron show us so much more! The way you raise your kids, the help and generosity to your family and friends are inspirational and teach us along the way so much more than gardening! but thanks for the gardening too!!!! LOVE IT!!
The table full of dahlias in the cut flower shed is gorgeous. Benjamin’s zinnia bouquet is precious.
☕️Good morning from Michigan Laura and GA friends. Beautiful dahlias go great with my coffee. Thank you, Laura. Thoughts and prayers for our friends and family in Florida and all those touched by the hurricane 🌻🧡🍁🍂🙏
Thank you. We are waiting today to see how much damage Ian will do as it reaches land right where many of us either live or have vacation homes. We appreciate your prayers for everyone.
@@cindybills677 My prayers are with you all in the next few days.❤
My in-laws are right in the eye of the storm in Charlotte country.. thank God they just left on a cruise and are safe but it’s almost confirmed that they will most definitely loose their beautiful home and cars..Praying for Everyone’s safety during and After it hits🙏🏼😢✨🤍
Our 2nd home is in Burnt Store Marina / Punta Gorda. We are safe here in Ky but are worried sick about the potential damage and some of our friends that are full time residents. Gonna be high anxiety over the next 36 hours. 😢
@@melissadavis3814 same it’s my in-laws second home also- I send my prayers for protection for all there and who will have to face the aftermath whenever they return... 🙏🏼✨🤍
I really enjoyed the video this morning, very calming while waiting on Hurrican Ian to make its way through Florida. I'm sure after the next few days, what Dahlias I have, they will be gone. Before I started watching you and Aaron, I didn't even know what a Dahlia was! Thanks for opening up my world to new flowers! Have a great day everyone, say a little prayer for those of us in Florida.
Prayers. Be safe.
My prayers are with you. ❤
Praying.
Sending prayers for your and your neighbor's safety.
Prayers for you and all in Florida 🙏🏻
That big purple one in the front center is Thomas Edison. That dahlia is the reason I started growing Dahlias this year! It is so beautiful! I love your table of dahlias and have a few new ideas for next year.
My reason is Labyrinth ❤
These are all just gorgeous! It’s crazy how these flowers are so varied in texture, size, and color, yet are all such true stunners across the board.
I picture heaven full of Dahlias and roses ❤️🙏
Love 🥰 it love 😍 it love 💐Thanks 👍 it's a therapy 😊 to see flowers 🌹💐 in close-up
Good morning 😃
I have my note pad out, ready to make a shopping list haha. This video may be dangerous for my wallet 😂
If you can afford to splurge on a flower garden-why not
It’s funny because it’s ohhhh so true 😬
That’s no joke! I have definitely been “inspired” to seek out some of the beautiful things I have seen in Laura’s garden. I have mahogany splendor all over my garden this year!
@@alw5101 Dahlias are a beautiful splurge 😉
@@jilljones9305 Right!? haha I definitely made a list
Laura, this was a genius display of the dahlias! I absolutely loved the “tour!” 💚🌸🥰
No way I couldn’t pick my favorite! Each and every flower is unique, all so beautiful. As your video played I thought of how much work you put into these videos. I really appreciate all you do to teach us. Dahlias are one of my favorites, this was a beautiful display of all their beauty. Really, thank you.❤
What an awesome way to show us all your dahlias. So nice to see them all together and see the differences between the different varieties. I thoroughly enjoyed this video, thanks Laura❣️
How on earth could you choose just one favorite? It’s almost like asking to choose your favorite child... they all have their own unique beauty to them✨🤍
Outstanding presentation! I would take a wide angle photo and have a large poster made and hang in the cut flower shed. You would have a beautiful memory of gorgeous dahlia’s. Thanks for all your videos, GA and coffee is my go to morning inspiration.
That was AWESOME!!!! I gasped when you walked through the flower shed doors!!! What a treat to get to see all of those blooms displayed so beautifully!! And it was so enjoyable to see them one by one and really be able to notice their uniqueness that way!! Thank you for doing that!! It is most appreciated!!
Really incredible to see en masse like that - better able to compare and contrast the different varieties- appreciate all the time that it took for you to arrange all of them so that we can enjoy each and every one. Appreciated all your tips regarding arrangements and vase life too- will be watching to see how your mulching over the winter works out !
I think you’ve won first prize at the flower show! Beautiful. 😊🌸🌸
This is probably the most satisfying video you have made!!!!!!! Absolutely incredible. I love Pooh!!!!!
What a beautiful table - as you would say "glorious" . The flowers look pretty in the ground, but putting them all together on one table makes for a lovely and happy vibe. Thank you so much for putting in the work you did setting up that table in your cute potting shed.
Gorgeous Dahlias 😍😍😍
I can't pick just one! I had to pause this video repeatedly so that I could create a list of all my SIXTEEN favorites! Thank you for taking the time to create this display!
Oh wow! That's a sea of gorgeousness! So hard to pick a favorite because I like them all but Innocence is one that stood out for me and the open ones as well, oh and the melon color towards the end.....oh well they are all gorgeous and go so well together!
Thanks for the eye feast! Love the table full of colors! 🤗💗💛💜❤💚❤💜💛💗🤗
The mystery flower that looks close too brown sugar can be a cornel bronze. Thanks for sharing your dahlia collection. It’s such a inspiration 😻
Yeah that's what i thought too
That beautiful purple looks like Thomas Edison dahlia
I was thinking the same! I have one in my garden and it looks just like it!
I can’t wait to see the new brickwork by the kitchen door. And the beginning work around the Hartley.
What a wonderful treat for us this morning. I really appreciate it. I am still experiencing cloud cover from hurricane Ian...no sun since Saturday morning last only rain and thunderstorms. My garden is destroyed. So many thanks for this beautiful display. I think that you should continue with this as a tradition...display of dahlia blooms. Fabulous! Really appreciate it. Thanks for the sunshine on this wet and overcast day.
The cut flower shed was the perfect place for this Beautiful Dahlia tour!🌺🌸
Thank you Laura!😍😍😍
The one you’re calling bumble bee is actually bumble rumble. I love that you went through every variety with the names, so thank you!!!
Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
Beautiful is the only thing I can say!
Take care to everyone in Hurricane 🌀 Ian's path. We are preparing for the worst and 🙏 for the best
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍💓
Praying for everyone and everything in Ian’s path.
@@lauraadair9276 Thanks Laura. 43 years of living in Florida has taught me to prepare for the worst and 🙏 for the best 👌
Oh MY GOODNESS!!!!! No, there is no way to pick a favorite!! Thank you for this labor of love.
Thanks for doing this Laura!!! They are so gorgeous and such a good idea to see them all together. You do such a great job and appreciate you sharing all the beauty you create! 🌸🌞
We got our first frost here in Minnesota last night. A local, award winning dahlia grower in our area, cut a nice selection of the dahlias he grows and brought them in to the flower shop where I work. They are for us to use and to sell to our customers. He didn't want them to go to waste and wanted to share the luxurious beauty with others in our area. One variety that I recognized right away, thanks to watching your videos, was 'Pooh'! My word... that dahlia is so beautiful and unique.🥰 I love that your video came out today so I can try to identify a few more. All of them are such an impressive flower!
That mystery purple could be Thomas Edison. Thank you for such a breath taking display!
For the viewers that really enjoyed the way Laura displayed her Dahlias on the table for you...I would encourage you to try & find where your local Dahlia Society may he having their shows right now. Dahlias are cut & staged to display on tables. After the 1st day of the judging, the 2nd (& sometimes 3rd day) are then open to the public for viewing. Each table is is set up per variety as well. So all of your Dinner Plates will be together, all Poms together, all Balls together, etc. So this will also help in not only identifying types/varieties but may help you in knowing & showing you what you are most drawn to.
A lot of Society's also have a division to enter for Baskets & Floral Arrangements which can be quite stunning to see!!
The world of Dahlias is so amazing (I am a 4th generation grower/shower - so have been in it my whole life) with so many colors, shapes & sizes. They vary from the huge Dinner Plates (some which can measure up to over a foot across) down to the Migons (a small daisy like flower that are only 1/2 to 1 inch in size).
Thank you for this advice and info!!!
Oh this is just magical! Feels like Christmas seeing all these amazing blooms. I love how simple your setup is and then seeing how exponentially the plants explode with growth and become their own great structure of rows. Thanks for bringing us along. What a treat!
Oh my gosh these look so gorgeous! Dahlias are so striking in arrangements! Sometimes the dinner plate-type ones seem *too* big and not workable, but they really draw the eye 🥰
Dahlia's really are the star of the fall garden. It's amazing how they come to life in September. I love how you picked them and displayed them like that in your garden shed. It did help to see them up close without the sun beating on them. Thanks for all your efforts in labeling them and giving us insight into each one. Beautiful!
That purple one could be Thomas Edison. I have one but sadly it didn't come back for me this year. It's absolutely gorgeous!!! I could never pick a favorite. They are all so beautiful. Now I want to go shopping for more dahlias! Hehe
melody dora is my favorite I think 😍
If I lived close by I’d enjoy the free flower day! Seeing all those blooms displayed inside the flower room is the best ! Thanks
I love Laura and her whole family. Autumnal - Bless her heart. I find myself saying it correctly out loud every time she says it. I’m one of those people who easily and unintentionally adapts how other people say things.
HOLY DAHLIAS! I was wowed when you opened your shed door! Like when Dorothy opened her home's door when it landed in Oz. What a color video to revisit in the dead of winter.
was looking through the pictures and little videos on your instagram this morning ( to catch up ) the video you posted for your anniversary brought a tear to my eye....happy belated anniversary....what a beautiful life you and Aaron have created for yourselves and your children ....congratulations and wishes for many more years of happiness together
Cat woke me up as he protected his space from an intruder this very early a.m. so I was up just minutes after Garden Answer posted the Dahlia Tour!!! What a wonderful spectacle! The colors, textures, shapes and sizes are fascinating! I'm inspired to get out my watercolor brushes and paint to attempt capturing these beauties of nature! Thanks for the tour/display!!!!
How can anyone pick a favorite! Oh my goodness. Hapet Blue Eyes took my breath away. There's so many gorgeous blooms. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing the bounty with all of us!
The big purple dahlia looks a lot like my Thomas Edison. Thank you for this beautiful display!❤
Good morning! 🌻🐝
I grew Dahlias from seed this year and it was so easy. They were all single flowers but well worth the fun watching to see what color they bloomed.
Thanks so much for this table top dahlia tour! It is terrific to see the blooms side by side , showing off size differences, colour nuances and just how many different flowers make up the dahlia family of flowers!! So enjoyable and informative!!
I was sitting here going "wow, that's my favourite! No, that's my favourite! Hold up, THATS my favourite" I couldn't choose if I tried, they are all so beautiful in their own way and I think the fact that they're presented so beautifully in amongst each other just shows each and every one off to perfection. Thankyou for taking the time to do this for us. I'm new to dahlias, grew a few from seed this year but the drought here in the UK took them early. I've no idea if they will come back but I too will be mulching heavily and crossing my fingers for a return next year!
I was looking around at all the gorgeous flowers but that Ginger Snap just absolutely took my breath away - no matter what, I am always drawn to orange colours and this just absolutely reinforced that I am always drawn to smokey orange/peach flowers
The ginger snap looks a lot like Erin’s (impatient gardrner) Crichton honey.
This is the most beautiful Dahlia collection I have ever seen!
Because of your videos on dalias I picked 4 varieties at a big box store and started them inside then planted out on large pots. I live at 7600 ft zone 5b, with about 90 days growing season. I am enjoying several dinner plate and a couple of smaller varieties. Thank you so much!
Free flower day - it’s be neat if other townsfolk decide to join you with their flower harvest and it becomes an impromptu flower festival.
FYI! Your Cafe Con Leche is a mix from Eden brothers and that flower is one of the flowers from it called Sweet Nathalie- a much coveted pretty across the insta-dahlia world! 🌸💛
I found sweet Natalie after I placed my orders for the year! 1st year growing and I’m soooo excited ❤
Absolutely stunning display! Here in Australia we’ll be planting our dahlias in about 2 months. I can’t wait 😊
Love, love, love them all! How can anyone pick a favourite. Absolutely perfect timing for me in Australia, as it’s almost time for dahlias to go in the ground. Thankyou, Laura for showing all of your beautiful flowers.
OMGGGGGGG!!! How Pretty are these Dahlia's!!! I am in SPRING 2023 TROUBLE ALREADY!!! Thanks Laura!! 🙃🤣 My favorite is Cafe Au Lait as always but after today's show, I love the Bridal Bouquet mix, Vassio Meggos, Night silence, Cafe Conleche, Labyrinth, Emperor, Giggles, and Snow Country. Um, yeh I'm in trouble!! Who else is on the Bandwagon?? 🤣🤣🤣 As Always, good upload Laura! 🌺🥰
I cannot choose a favorite! I love how you have done a display, seem to be a rather big chore it is so lovely. Benjamin little arrangement is so special! 😻
We are a 7a in the mountains of Virginia and we leave our dahlias in the ground every year with no mulch protection and even with our cold wet winters we’ve never lost any. I think if you do what you’ve planned you’ll have good luck with yours
that table full of blooms brought tears to my eyes!!! so lovely to see all the fruits of your labor displayed so beautifully!
I was hoping for this video for a while. I have been fed a bunch of Dahlias today. I love all the dinner plate dahlias. Thank you Laura, your content is always wonderful and I’m so grateful for your generosity & hard work. The presentation is always perfect! How is your mom Susan doing & when will see the question & answer video of you & your dad?
I absolutely loved this video. You get as excited as I do over the blooms. It’s always nice to watch your videos in the morning as I drink my coffee. Your positivity and joy inspire my day.
Ooooooohhhhhh when you walked in and showed the table with the dahlias - oh my goodness so so beautiful! That made my day!!!!!!I
When you walked into your shed and I saw those flowers it took my breath away. Gorgeous.
This is the best evidence of a dream come true! Congrats besties! Gorgeous gorgeous blooms. ✨✨
OUTSTANDING TOUR Laura. Just what we've been waiting for! I've tried growing quite a few of these but I will definitely be adding a few more to my list!
I have been gravitating more to the singles as of late. I can relate to dealing with mislabeled dahlias and being frustrated with what they revealed themselves as.
Guess that's part of the fun!!
Thanks so much for this!
Ur dahlias are beautiful, if u r not already a dahlias lover, listening to u, will make anyone fall in love with this flowers.
Thank you for the presentation
Happy blue eyes was the one that took my breath away. They are all gorgeous but the happy blue eyes was just so extra special for me.
This was a really great way to see these and easier to make comparisons between varieties. Both similarities and differences and also to see size comparisons. Plus it does make a very impressive display for the table in the cut flower shed. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️
All are so gorgeous! It's impossible to choose a favorite. I wonder how many bouquets Laura will create from all these dahlias.
I can't pick my favorite; they are all glorious! Thank you, I will definitely come back to this video again and again!
Feel like I died and went to Dahlia heaven!! Glorious!!
Amazing dahlias! I dug up our dahlia tubers last fall and stored them and that didn’t work out sadly, not sure what I did wrong. However, I guess I missed part of the tuber in one spot and it survived with no mulch and came up on its own mid summer lol. I’m in zone 6b and we have pretty cold winters. I was shocked.
Loving your beautiful garden xx
What a stunning display of your dahlias!!! I'm eager to hear how they winter over! Thank you for the time you put into making your videos amazing!!! 💜
Ohhhh Laura, these are absolutely gorgeous 😍 I don't know how you remember all the names though. Benjamin did a beautiful job arranging his flowers and such a beautiful color. Your kiddos will have as much talent as you and Aaron. How beautiful to have your children working with you and learning all about these gorgeous flowers and plants 🪴 😍 ❤️ you asked which one is our favorite they all are my favorite lol 😍 so gorgeous. Thank you Laura for sharing these beauties and all the time you took to tell us all the their names .❤️😊 God's blessings to you and your sweet family.❤️💐🌾🌿
Tell Benjamin hands down Zinnias for the win!!! Dahlias? Too much work. Zinnias have just as much variety, even on one plant and a longer vase life! Watching all the effort you've put into your dahlias, Laura, has convinced me with my very short zone 4 season that zinnias are the way to go!
Amen!! I just love zinnias
My jaw dropped when you walked into the flower shed. I wasn't expecting that lol. Omg they are stunning. Thanks Laura :-)
Omg! What a show! I love them all but especially the porcupine looking and the romance group. So great to have the cut flower shed for this wonderful show!
Wow my goodness. I cannot pick a favorite. Love them all. I hope they all overwinter for you.
Which tubers are you definitely digging to keep and which ones would you not be disappointed if they didn't make it through the winter? Maybe your mystery flower is a Thomas Edison. Also b/c of this video I'm updating my dahlia order!
I agree. Looks like Thomas Edison 😃
@@terrimcclain-dentz1495 That's what I was thinking, as well!
I agree. I have a Thomas Edison Dahlia and it look exactly the same, the stems are black.
Yep, add my vote to Thomas Edison.
Yes. I have a Thomas Edison and I thought so as well!
Laura, have you dried any of these? If so what type of drying method did you use? It would be fun to see if they do dry and how do they retain color. That Noel one would be fun for Christmas. Your flowers are just so beautiful.
I don’t think I’ve seen so many beautiful flowers, gorgeous
Good afternoon Laura and family 🌸
Such beauty 😍and the colors 😍 wow. Thank you for sharing as always have a wonderful rest of the day 👋🌼🙂
where is your favorite place to buy dahlia tubers from?
So gorgeous! I believe the jagged petals are called “laminated”. My faves are Innocence, Brown Sugar, and the Cafes. ❤
Lacinated
@@galenshaver1422 hahahaha autocorrect! Yes, lacinated is the term I tried to type
@@EdensApple80 I call it auto-incorrect...hahaha
At first I felt overwhelmed at just the sight of this loaded-down table. Then when I started watching I got hooked!! Each one is so unique. I appreciated all the descriptions and the ooohs and ahhhs. ❤️
that table with all the blooms is a thing of beauty .. a true vision.
What a most beautiful display of dahlias.❤❤❤
The colors are beautiful a bouquet of all of them in a big vase with baby's breath would be outrages.
One thing for sure, I could not pick a favorite. Gorgeous flowers.
In Portland zone 8b we leave our tubers in the ground , even with all the rain they are fine as long as you have good drainage. No tarping needed. I would be a lot more concerned that tarping would promote rot by keeping moisture in the soil without allowing any evaporation between rains or respiration in the soil
What beautiful flowers and such a nice way to share them. The first large dahlia is probably Thomas Edison and the second smaller purple one is probably blue bell. The slit tips on the petals make it a laciniated dahia form.
Love the way you showed them in jars! It give a very honest color for folks!
Oh my goodness! A table full of beauty! I don't think I could pick a favorite!
You’re awesome Laura, the way you present things is just wonderful, you have a special way to show us what you’re doing and the time it took to set up the table with all the beautiful Dahlias and tags , you go the xtra mile 🥰
I have been looking forward to this video! Dahlia’s are my fav!!
I really enjoy some of the dark stem dahlia’s in arts and craft style gardens - they make the flowers really pop!
But hard to go past the dinner plates!
Oh my goodness just love all this beauty. I’m so hopeful for you with your plan for mulching. Thank you for all you do to bring joy to so many people.
