    5 months preggy but I can't breathe well in my left side. Just only comfortable at right side at all. If I sleep left side I feel all my intestines are struggling and painful so now I Choose to sleep right side because that makes me comfortable 😊

    My dear, when you lay on your back, the belly does not press on the vagus nerve, but on the vena cava.

  • @BarboraNa
    @BarboraNa Před rokem +6

    I'm expecting twins. "B" is in transverse position. The belly on the mattress is very uncomfortable because it presses on the baby's head. That's why I sleep half on my back and half on my left side.

    The one advantage of not really developing a cute bumb so far (at 6th month) is that I can still lie on my belly, the only acceptable position for my buttbone. Just have to arrange the pillows to support the melons I got (so confusing and awkward, expected way more excitement about those)

    Any sleep is good sleep in pregnancy, being told to restrict to certain positions is just so unnecessary and fear mongering, especially for paranoid first time mothers.. Sleep how you’re comfortable and able to get a good night sleep…. Even if it’s flat out on your big stomach

      This! Spoke to a physiotherapist that specializes in pregnancy about sleeping positions because I read all about how sleeping on your left side was best and how dangerous everything else could be... Except I have an injury to my left hip and laying on my left side for an extended period of time makes things worse for me. She basically told me not to worry about it. If you actually are cutting off circulation to any parts of your body when you are sleeping, whether you are pregnant or not, you will wake up.

      Why can’t it just be good enough advice? Why does it have to be fear mongering? I am more than happy to try and take this ladies advice to try these sleeping positions. If it helps baby, stay head down, great! Let’s be adults instead of being panicky like children.
