The sounds of halflife.wad | Binary Waterfall

- Half-Life 1's main .wad file (from the "valve" folder), directly visualized.
Made with my open-source program, Binary Waterfall.
github.com/nimaid/binary-wate...
Color format: xRGB (inverted, reversed)
Un-flipped vertically to compensate for the reversed data direction.
Additionally, I have centered the audio and video alignment (this will be how I make the videos from now on, but it is now fully configurable in the program.)
There are some really odd things I found in this. For example, the IKEA sign in the thumbnail. - Věda a technologie
the interesting part of this is that we can see textures of the game lmao, i don't know, it's very interesting
.WAD files in Goldsrc contain most of the stuff like textures and etc, if no WAD files are added in game configuration for Hammer (the level editor for Half-Life), you can't use any texture for the map.
@@Mr.SystemError yeah, I wonder why textures are visible using this method, if you try the same with another file that contains textures It doesn't behave the same way, not every time, and not every time you can see the textures as "raw data"
@@Dhyotte Are you talking about other Goldsrc .wad files or other games? Doom uses .wad files as the level stuff.
in some cases you can even hear sounds from the game
9:15 to 9:18 sounds like a printer
The entire thing sounds like a dot matrix printer.
GORDON DOESN’T NEED TO HEAR ALL OF THIS, HES A HIGHLY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL!
Thanks for downloading Half-Life in your brain.
.wad files in hl1 are only the textures, not the entire game.
@@Celxorthoh, sorry, then Thanks for downloading Half-Life Textures in your brain.
7:00 technical difficulties
1:21 bro almost started happy meat farms-
oh my god
My neighbors definitely need to listen it on 3hrs loop!!!
5:10 glitchy mess
How much time does it take to render the result as a video in an average? It probably depends on the length of the result, as well as the watermark, wich needs to be inserted into every frame, making the process slower
It depends on the length of the video, the export framerate, the export dimensions, and how much load the encoder has to deal with (determined by encoder preset and the amount of visual noise in the video). For me, at 60 FPS 1080p it takes about an hour per 7 minutes of video. The watermark in the unregistered.exe version has no real effect on export time or encode time.
Yes Blind Spot with SIEM Leader
never thought i would hear Extratone in binary waterfall

Pov: you took too much benadryl

Do you think on porting this program to mobile(android etc.)? It would be interesting on mobile too.
you could... but there isn't ffmpeg
10:24
now i can install it to my brain for free thanks

PIRACYYYYYYYYYYYY
imagine how long this would be: the sounds of roblox
It wouldn't be long. Roblox games aren't saved locally on your PC, but are downloaded the moment you join a game, aside from Roblox studio basic textures which don't belong to the .exe file
nerd: Isn't this pira-
SHUT UP
you couldnt because the data would be corrupted from youtubes compression, also half life needs a bunch of other files to actually function, such has hl.exe, the vmf files, and a couple other wads, this is just some of its assets. thats why a lot of textures were missing, theyre in another wad.
.wad!?! You mean like a wii file?
I know, I usually associate.wad files with DOOM. But this is in the game files, of course it seems to be a different format than the DOOM .wad files.
@@TheNimaid Interesting...
Yes matter how you use the ANSI commands

Yes scripts, if you have it scripted I'll pay you 100 R$ for it.
