I struggle with severe anxiety and I love these dating/reality show so much. But when I watch it sometimes it can trigger my anxiety bc my little heart just can’t it. I watch spoilers all the time bc I have to know what happens next. But watching these along with you has made a huge difference in my daily anxiety. Ariela is giving me strong soap opera actress vibes she's very dramatic.. I think if her trust issues are not great as we are seeing here she should have left the way Andre did previously because he knew this wouldn't be good for him this time in his life. Keep seeing poster comments on here running her down big time so things must get even worse than this episode and not better with this couple. I didn't like how Ingrid got sent in to basically ambush Leandro's family because it does not give her a fair introduction like the other couples.
I think Ariela does not trust easily and her biases were confirmed by Evandro's post-pod disclosures and she is pissed about that. She feels like she chose very, very wrong and is upset that she messed up. She built a connection with a version of Evandro that is not real. Also a relative basically described Ariela is either really, really happy or not. Another said she is very emotional. Not sure why no-one stopped her from applying to this show.
This was not a Trevor situation. Ariella has trust issues and is projecting. Evandro was indeed honest. He texted the girl he used to hook up with "I'm going on love is blind Talk to you after," and he told her he found someone and was engaged. He couldn't say "going on love is blind don't ever talk to me again." He ended things when he had to.
Yeah the majority of people who go on the show don't make it out of the pods. I even think if it was a friend-with-benefits situation that a more secure partner would be fine with some amount of contact between them, so "going on a reality show, goodbye forever" wouldn't make any sense for him to have said. It's kind of like saying "I'm going on a first date, never contact me again." "Red flag" is too strong, but I'd think that was pretty weird if I found out someone said that.
Ariella is so so toxic - sure we don’t know what went on behind the scenes but if you fight and create the drama with everyone, it’s a fair assumption that the problem is you and not everyone else. She seems to create issues out of nothing, is incredibly self-centred and not able to truly reflect on her own accountability or actions. Even her own family have warned Evandro about her… she would do well to sort herself out in therapy before trying to get into a relationship of any kind.
You made me want to binge the rest of the available episodes so I could be in on the action with your comments. I prefer the original Portuguese voices but i understand people wanting the dub.

These days people just throw out diagnoses left and right, it’s so stupid and stigmatizing to people with actual issues. Imo, Ariella was definitely out of line. Even if her feelings stem from previous bad experience or/and her insecurities she shouldn’t lash out on him like that. I fully agree with you that at one point no matter what that man would’ve said- the only truth she would’ve accepted was her assumptions about him. I also think he wasn’t completely innocent. He didn’t clarify this relationship to its full complexity in the pods, he tried to brush it off like “past is past” and I understood her hesitation in the sense that how he treated last girl he had “situation-ship” with could indicate something in his present relationship. Thanks for the video, so thrilled you’re reviewing the Brazil version! I highly recommend watching the previous 3 seasons of Brazil, great casts and beautiful honeymoon locations. From what we’ve seen so far on S4, I preferred the previous seasons. About the language, I like the subtitles. As someone else said in the comments, it sounds like another show when dubbed 😅 But maybe I’m not being fair because I speak Spanish and it’s similar to Portuguese, so for me it’s easy to watch in the original language with subtitles. I do that in general with all shows anyway, I feel listening to the original language gives a better sense of the emotions. But of course I’m all good with whatever most people want and works best for the channel! About the honeymoon night cam, I’d prefer they didn’t show it as much or at all. It’s the only thing I don’t love about the Brazil version. As far as Ariela or other participants maybe being unsure of how much would be aired, if they’ve watched the previous seasons they’d know beforehand what to expect because it’s been the same way since S1.
Ariela just doesnt like the fact that evandro is a black man, she also told that her mother and grandma wont accept this relationship . I mean she is just looking for an excuse to end the relationship with him . Also ariela ended up with a former cast member off this show from the previous season and he is THE chernoboy . Looks like Ariella has problems similar to borderline personality disorder. She admited previously that she ended her previous relationships because of her anxiety. Looks like this is her pattern to “ avoid danger of being hurt” so when things getting too serious or too intim - she is dropping the towel.
I appreciate your compassion with Ariela , I think a lot of people are going to throw her under the bus. I know what it's like to spiral out of my rational mind like it appears she is doing. Sorry it took us so long! Were considering this series our first experimental foray into non english content. I think its working this way. Theres a fair number of Spanish and Portuguese speakers that prefer it with subtitles but I dont want to alienate the listeners only that dont want to watch watch the videos. Ariela is spireling and is unbalanced (due to not having processed her previous trauma), but I think that is not baseless: - Eduardo banalized the relationship with his hook up and presented her as more superficial than it was, - Eduardo was not transparent - has not disclosed in the pods and on the honeymoon the reality of it , while she, as she said - confided in him about everything from her past, which brings her the distrust, and - Ariela is sensing that Eduardo tries to manipulate (tried to show her only the last message and not the history of convo where the seriousness of the relationship was seen with its regularity and calling "my love").

I've got a lot of thoughts brewing about Alexandre. I'm not sure if it's a dislike for some of his comments throughout the show, but it's definitely a complex feeling. I took a great time to read the comments because it was easier to see how people would approach it. I read that most who comment on dubbed usually play the video as background for the sound and haven't necessarily watched the show (no offence intended, it seems like a fact), so for me who watch all the episodes, it is easier for me to follow with the reactions of your video. But I understand people who don't have the time or click on the video. Now onto, the video, I cannot wait to see the reaction for episode 5. 😄

I had a different reaction to Arielle on the show ,I didn’t see her. As a victim but an aggressor - her husband on the show told her about hook up that happened he was honest showed the text messages and she still accused him of lying, That’s really toxic ,
Im brazilian and very used to consume dubbed content from the US (although I do prefer english with subtitles) and they always try to match the translation to the lip sync even if there is an adaptation on what they say that needs to be done ( nothing that would compromise the overall message of what is going on). Its so weird to me that they are not trying to sync with the lips AT ALL is so distracting! And as a Portuguese speaker I get distracted reading their lips and figuring out what they are actually saying and its a very weird experience, but the content is good and fun as always! Love watching you guys!
I agree with you that Ariela's reaction was disproportionate but I also found Evandro's conversation strange, at least the little that was shown. Calling someone "amor"/love to friends is not customary for Brazilians, it does show an intention of more serious affection and when a person calls another "love" without meaning it, it seems like the guy is shady, or a liar. Besides, if they really were friends and nothing was serious, why cut the bond then? Just eliminate the sexual part if Evandro is in a monogamous relationship and remain friends. The math ain’t mathing.
If you take in the totality of Ariella's comments and behavior, I think she's over reacting as an out. I think she would find anything to get out of this engagement, because I don't think she's into him. Their honeymoon vibes were blah and the comment about her grandma and mom... was the beginning of fishing for the out. You'll come to see over the next episodes more moments of trying to sabotage the relationship.
I love your reaction content on these reality shows. I first encountered your channel during the "The Ultimatum South Africa" and I loved it. I personally am not a fan of the dubbing, I am pro subbed especially when I have already watched with sub and I know how they sound like. However I just love your commentary and discussion that it was not that bad.

No dubbing please Edit: I commented that before watching the vid. So I wanted to let yall know the dubbing isn't horrendous, so if other commenters for sure need dubbing then it's OK. It just feels and sounds a bit weird. It took me a long time to comment my thoughts on the show because I kept mixing Ariela and Renata because of their physical appearance. I've got a lot of thoughts brewing about Alexandre. I'm not sure if it's a dislike for some of his comments throughout the show, but it's definitely a complex feeling.
I took a great time to read the comments because it was easier to see how people would approach it.
I read that most who comment on dubbed usually play the video as background for the sound and haven't necessarily watched the show (no offence intended, it seems like a fact), so for me who watch all the episodes, it is easier for me to follow with the reactions of your video. But I understand people who don't have the time or click on the video.
Now onto, the video, I cannot wait to see the reaction for episode 5. 😄

I agree with your casting theory. When she got upset about him saying “you’re not that heavy” when he picked her up. I said she has big insecurities. And she had a lot of those moments after that. If I caught that in one interaction Netflix totally saw it
Try saying Renata's name as "Henata" - but I cannot explain how to pronounce the "t" correctly, we don't pronounce it like a "r", it's more of a "t" sound but stronger 🫠
Also, we pronounce Patrick as "Patricky" (with an emphasis in the "y").

I agree that the first time I watch the episode, I was also confused on how it was edit to follow Ariela's narrative. I love the time taken to discuss what happen from 30:33 till the end. To have seen the remaining available episodes, I am concern for you both watching episode 7.
I had a different reaction to Arielle on the show ,I didn’t see her. As a victim but an aggressor - her husband on the show told her about hook up that happened he was honest showed the text messages and she still accused him of lying, That’s really toxic ,

Im brazilian and very used to consume dubbed content from the US (although I do prefer english with subtitles) and they always try to match the translation to the lip sync even if there is an adaptation on what they say that needs to be done ( nothing that would compromise the overall message of what is going on). Its so weird to me that they are not trying to sync with the lips AT ALL is so distracting! And as a Portuguese speaker I get distracted reading their lips and figuring out what they are actually saying and its a very weird experience, but the content is good and fun as always! Love watching you guys!
I agree with you that Ariela's reaction was disproportionate but I also found Evandro's conversation strange, at least the little that was shown. Calling someone "amor"/love to friends is not customary for Brazilians, it does show an intention of more serious affection and when a person calls another "love" without meaning it, it seems like the guy is shady, or a liar. Besides, if they really were friends and nothing was serious, why cut the bond then? Just eliminate the sexual part if Evandro is in a monogamous relationship and remain friends. The math ain’t mathing.
If you take in the totality of Ariella's comments and behavior, I think she's over reacting as an out. I think she would find anything to get out of this engagement, because I don't think she's into him. Their honeymoon vibes were blah and the comment about her grandma and mom... was the beginning of fishing for the out. You'll come to see over the next episodes more moments of trying to sabotage the relationship.

I love your reaction content on these reality shows. I first encountered your channel during the "The Ultimatum South Africa" and I loved it. I personally am not a fan of the dubbing, I am pro subbed especially when I have already watched with sub and I know how they sound like. However I just love your commentary and discussion that it was not that bad.

But, I don't think your comments (reactions) on a specific clip that is dubbed for the purpose of the video will be disconnect from your comments. About Patrick’s ring, I belive you missed that Marília is not ok with him wearing in his necklace, she just won’t force him and feels that he should figure it out for himself. Edit: I commented that before watching the vid. So I wanted to let yall know the dubbing isn't horrendous, so if other commenters for sure need dubbing then it's OK. It just feels and sounds a bit weird. Like if next vid one of you was off screen doing the intro and the person on screen was just moving their mouth, it's in no way monstrous but not right (although a bit funny)
I think Ariela doesn't feel comfortable putting another in the same position of being cheated on like she was in her previous relationship. it ticked her off and turned her off from Evandro.

The number of times how shocked I was by Ariellas reactions and her behaviour is just endless. I was just speechless. This woman has severe mental issues. It’s really very very bad. It’s out of hand.
