Impact Hub 2023 Armenia Annual Report

Impact Hub Yerevan proudly reflects on a year of significant accomplishments and growth despite complex challenges and difficulties. We hosted over 60 impactful events and organized 70+ workshops, engaging with a vibrant community of 350+ members.
Our inaugural Alumni Day event rekindled connections, paving the way for a new membership plan exclusively for former program participants, ensuring our network thrives!
In 2023, our commitment to inclusivity reached new heights with the “Labs for Change” program. We reached new impressive milestones with the opening of Impact Hub Gyumri. Meanwhile, Impact Hub Syunik responded to the Artsakh Crisis. The numbers speak for themselves: 3 CRELABs opened, 20 workshops in regions, and 80+ program participants in Syunik, Shirak, Tavush, and Kotayk.
This year, our team participated in global events, including the Impact in the Neighborhood conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, Impact Week in Torino, Stakeholder meetings in Marseille and Lyon, France, and the Social Impact Award Summit 2023 in Novi Sad, Serbia!
Goals set in 2023 came to fruition, with the successful implementation of the second year of the AXEL Acceleration program, fostering the growth of four diverse social enterprises.
2023 also marked the first year of VIA Fund's operations since its launch, where we were able to conduct 2 investment rounds deploying over 180K EUR in the form of grants and non-interest loans. VIA Fund can now boast of a growing portfolio of 5 strong social enterprises operating in the sphere of employment of vulnerable groups, education, and children development.
Another significant milestone for 2023 was the successful launch of the 3-year project, CirculUP! Focused on embedding Circular Economy principles into the Armenian ecosystem, this program represents a giant leap toward a more sustainable and circular future. Along with a comprehensive training program, the first year of activities included 4 multi-stakeholder group meetings, with the last meeting creating the first-ever Armenian Circular Economy Coalition which will begin its activities in 2024.
All these efforts culminated in a remarkable outcome: nearly 3,000 people in Armenia directly benefited from the social enterprises we support, marking a 60% increase from the previous year.
Building strong ties with stakeholders was a major focal point, and thanks to our dedicated partners our collaborative efforts were met with success. In 2023, we’ve implemented development programs and partnerships with 30+ organizations. None of the things we’ve accomplished this year would have been possible without your unwavering support, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
