This week we put an eBay Turbo kit on the BMW truck! The truck started out life as a stock 323i e36 manual coupe ( full build videos here • Turning a Coupe Into a... )
The kit came with everything! Turbo manifold, t4 type turbo, gaskets, intercooler, piping and silicone boots, fuel pressure regulator, blow off valve and much more! this was a crazy fun process and was something we have been wanting to do for a long time! I can't get enough of you guy's videos! I rented a house with a garage about 10 years ago and out of nowhere I got a strong urge to buy the tools to fabricate and ended up building a 16' car trailer from scratch. In the, the trailer came out perfect like factory but before I could start something else the homeowner decided to sell and I had to move fast and ended up selling everything. Now, after watching you guys and a couple other CZcamsrs, y'all are inspiring me to start my own channel that would cover custom woodworking as I remodel my home inside and out.. hands down grind hard plumping co is by far mine and my sons favorite channel and my biggest motivator! Keep up the awesome videos guys! Thanks for the great entertainment and huge motivation!

Sam definitely hurt that motor hanging out at redline so much. Ever since then its been burning more oil.
From what I know, when you slap a Rotrex kit with 9-10PSI boost at max on the M50TU/M52 you get Around 450 HP at crank. With a turbocharger it will be more like 500-550 if the fueling isn't totally of.
And on a stock lowerend, from 170/192 to 450 is a big step up.
When you do a M50TU Turbo, use better pistons, Oilcooler, beefier rods and also bearings and I think 600-700 should be doable on stock crank with a bit more fuel and a not so agressive timing ^^

I'm so glad that there are CZcamsrs like you, who build cool stuff. I spent most of my teens & early 20s doing this sort of shit with friends. BMX, dirtbikes, ATVs, "rallying", partying, fixing &/or modifying things. Unfortunately I had to move into a small town house, surrounded by (mostly annoying) neighbours, so I can't really have any fun anymore, with the exception of TV & PS4, but that's about it.
Kinda living vicariously at the moment & for the foreseeable future, which is why I enjoy yours, & other similar channels so much.

It’s about 15 hp to the crank so like 12 or so to the wheels
Yes N/A, but not at a turbo powered motor I know a Finnish guy with stock manifold bridge running 650ps on a M52B28

Ive seen guys pull the ebay turbo apart and clean them up to make some really nice turbos. Bad side is they have to be reballanced before you can fully rebuild it

It looks like you guys finally built a drift worthy car! This BMW has real potential and runs pretty good. I think you learned your lesson on the other “drift car” that while a street bike engine is fast in a snowmobile, it’s underpowered when you try to power a car with it.
