Received my Bestie today. Many thanks to whovever Frantisek is for adding a kind note (in French!) in the package. I came across Bastl instruments via CZcams reviews and tutorials of the Kastle 1.5 (which I duly purchased), then the SoftPop 2 caught my attention last year (which I duly purchased, taking advantage of your insane 2022 Black Friday offers). The Bestie is a beautifully designed and built piece of electronics. I've only played around with the feedback function and I love how it mangles and warmly reshapes whatever audio I input. I cannot say I've come to master these various devices yet (I know my way around the Kastle enough to anticipate some of its crazy noises), but I totally adhere to the philosophy behind "the Bastl sound". Václav's tutorials really help us make the most of the devices' quirks. This is what I like about Bastl: the team's dedication shines at all stages of the "client-manufacturer-designer" relationship. Keep up the good work, that's all there is to say.
Man, I am so glad for having a Bestie. Thank you for continually teaching us new stuff.
Thank you for supporting us!
Genius! I've been thinking this would be possible since I got Bestie.
I was planning on running this with my sp404mkii as the main effects processor, thank you for showing this to more people!
Yes, this is such a cool and creative mixer. Love mine.
Wow, I will absolutely use that in my setup, thanks👍
❤️❤️❤️
Wow i saw on the 10year anniversary shirt there is thyme+ 2024 👀
That is very exciting!
Very impressive! I do wish the pre-mute worked a little bit more like a cue control. or rather just send all the non-muted channels to the headphones for example.
I need this! After a job and debt payments but then: I will have it!
Very nice!
Thanks!!
Technically, this will work on any mixer if you're willing to sacrifice a channel or two for your return and aren't bothered by not having a way to monitor your output
I stumbled into this by sheer accident fumbling around with channel 3 feedback / aux / send. 😂
You are a true experimentalist!
@@bastlinstruments You give us the right tools!
Cool!

🎉
Are the unmuted channels (that go into the reverb) also sent to the phones output simultaneously? So you always hear the dry version of the channel plus the wet signal from the reverb in the phones output? Or does unmuting the channel mean it only goes out to the reverb?
Can you run modular level audio directly into Bestie (without reducing it to line level first) and attenuvert it to be clean (no distortion)?
Yes, you can! It even has some benefits over sending line level there! Since modular levels are hotter, you'll get more of that beautiful distortion faster. Otherwise, there's no problem using it for direct modular connection.
but why do you have the micro granny into the stereo input not the mono ? can you still do mono into any jack not just the mono slot on 1and 5?
If you connect stereo jack to a mono source (mg) anc connect it to stereo mixer like Bestie you usually get "dual mono"
got the bestie recently I love it so far@@bastlinstruments
