to be totally honest I know this is an issue that most are very comfortable to talk to and about but I still haven't developed passed my 13yr old shock and so I still pretty much handle moon cycles like they don't exist, and I don't even keep track of them which kicks my butt everytime
this is one of those things where even the spoken word in lyrics and choice thereof conflicts my interest in conversation. my mind is often elaborate and has no limit to it's thinking other that it's limited awareness and so when having certain conversations I'd like to be more ready and I wasn't though still am interested to know what ur thoughts are!

First of all I love the MOON CYCLE Melanie used to say taboo song. About something that many people deal with but no one talks about in music. I wanted to write a lighthearted but poignant song about women going through their periods. How blood represents vitality the chorus uses a resting analogy to treat like sweet raspberries and pomegranates are scary, how my aura makes you howl during the sun CYCLE MOON or do you expect me to get. Pregnant that night and then the loud menstrual cramps are overwritten on your phone. With the conflicting like of patriarchal society and. MEN consider it a common disease for women men punch each other see blood but do not find it Disgusting but, when they see menstruation they consider it Disgusting. 😫

Btw mood swings don’t technically depend upon pent up aggression or like built up rage because the mood swings caused by menstruation are basically controlled or stimulated by the levels of estrogen and other hormones released in the body so you have no choice but to be moody or hypersensitive but ofc this varies based on individual experiences…

Lol exactly what I felt uncomfortable to get into😌😅🙏❤️ I apologize I thought that would've been understood when I said I don't like talking about it and this would've been my first and it was too big of a moment and so unexpected I know I would've ended up saying don't have sex on your period and referenced a bible scripture for the Christians and probably made a funny face but I didn't wanna be ignorant to the people who enjoy practicing safe sex on their period and It was alot🙈 maybe we can do a recap I'd love to have a nice conversation about periods but this was not expected🙈❤️
