The problem is that, culturally, we limit our own potential and way of thinking when we believe that a genius is put into a box, just like everyone else, instead of seeing that any of us is capable of being a genius in our own right. I used to believe that these people were simply born smart, but that begs the question, is a genius born or made? It seems the secrets of genius lie in imagination, curiosity, and passion, as it would be easier to remember information that is interesting to us. Einstein had said himself that imagination is more important than knowledge, and he proves that by going against the status quo of simply trying to memorize information. genius is much more than that, and I think a lot of it has to do with exploring uncharted territory

being a genius is a curse. while humanity benefits from them, they are tormented souls, their head's so filled with questions and ideas that most of the time it's impossible for them to have a normal conversation. they can't even develop what is considered to be normal relationships. I knew this guy who would talk about fantastic things and ideas, connecting the most mundane facts to create a better understanding of the universe, but he was a druggy and will not amount to anything and will probably od if he stays on this course. but when I talked to him about it, he said he only feels normal enough to talk to people when he dumbs himself down enough to forget what humans are capable of. I can't imagine what it must be like to require being inebriated to have a normal conversation, but I'll take a slightly above average IQ, a decent job, and the ability to interact with people without needing to be belligerent over that any day.

You are absolutely right, this is something that many people fail to see, people believe that geniuses have everything, and that they don’t need any kind of help. But deep inside, is the true nature of the matter. It can be a blessing for others but a curse for one’s self. Also, our school system seems designed to not take advantage of these wonderful minds, they are treated like everybody else as if they don’t need guidance, when in reality, these are the people who will be shaping the world. I’m not saying we need to treat them “better” but we need to give them the resources so that they can not only succeed, but be happy while doing it.

Genius has to do specifically with Problem solving or creation, Creation is the build of data and counter to that is Problem solving which is the breakdown of pre-existing equations, Genius is otherwise just an individual who can perform the same amount as a a collective group or generation that needs many revisions in order to solve for or create

In this time, a genius for me is being realistic. Genius is actually subjective for me since I change it's meaning whenever some sort of situation occurs. Maybe being genius for me in general, is having the capability to adapt and comprehend certain situation...?

Donavan Holley Isn't an artist doing something with his life?Or a poet,a musician, a psychologist, or a surgeon. But the same can be said for a garbage man,a truck driver,a pizza delivery man,a gas pumper.Yet we can agree some of these people are genius and others not.So it shouldn't be doing something with your life but rather how, what, and why you do something with your life. Of course it's obvious that practice and observation are the main factors along with talent so genius truly is passion, curiosity, a yearning to discover, and talent all rolled into one.
