The Veterans is a ,,damage-stress" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Hellion (accuracy trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Bounty hunter (Grappling mits + accuracy trinket) - deathblow dealer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - supporteer
PROS:
1) Debuff synergy (Plague doctor + Hellion)
2) Great stress outcome
3) Great healing potential
4) Good DoT outcome
5) 2 potential disruptors
6) 2 potential deathblowers
CONS:
1) Disruption is a menace
2) Marks are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) Stuns are a menace
5) DoT is a menace
6) RNGsus is a menace
7) Low damage outcome
The Veterans is stress team, that combines pure damage and also DoT. 3 characters can (self)heal, next you have 2 disruptors and 2 deathblowers.
This team is weak against... everything. It's nice, that you have debuff synergy, 2 deathblowers and disruptors, but the lack of damage outcome is attroucious. Sometimes you need Crusader as damager, sometimes as supporteer, sometimes your Hellion must debuff frontline and in other time deal damage. And I could continue with other moves, but I think, you can figure it out, where's the problem.
I played a few tactics, such as "full stress", "full damage", "support Crusader" or "mix stress+damage". The last strategy is probably worth for shot.
My advice: Your Plague doctor MUST have "Emboldening vapours". Without this skill, you can't survive for long.
This time it would be very strange. I can't describe, how to play correctly this team. On first look I saw debuff synergy and went for it, but it was worthless. Next I tried damage-mark tactic, and it also failed. And another different strategy, that also failed, no matter on opponent's rank (only Novices, Champions and Darkests). Against Darkests and Champions I didn't have a chance, even novices beats me like the underdog. Mostly RNGsus made my day.
This team was one of the worst expierence I ever played. It was like chopping the old Oak with stilleto. Nevermore again.
