I saw the show “ Promises, Promises” once and liked it very much. His song “ What Do You Get When You Fall In Love” in Act 2 is great and different from the hit version by Dionne Warwick-A little slower and more bittersweet-but completely beautiful in its setting after an attempted suicide by the main woman character is rescued by the leading man.
That white vermouth is actually a great basting medium for chicken on the grill. If I recall, I marinated it a short time first. I got the recipe in a magazine, like, 30 years ago.
This commercial is basically a short documentary film about what it was like to be Burt Bacharach in the early 1970s, except for the fact that the room looks a little cramped, as if it was shot in a house out in the San Fernando Valley. Otherwise, just another evening in the company of his gorgeous movie star wife and the beautiful people of southern California.

As lyricist Sammy Cahn once famously said of Bacharach, songwriters were meant to look like dentists not movie stars.
Well that was spot on!
I really want to learn piano and play this in particular.

You can tell the tune that Bert played it had that sound of Close To You which he wrote for The Carpenter’s

Is that safe to drink with Quaaludes?
Good heavens yes, especially while driving that 1975 Cadillac El Dorado to the fondue party at Maud's.
Yes, as long as it’s a Chrysler Cordoba with Rrrrrich, Corinthian leather.
😂
I washed them down with stronger liquors in the 70s, and I survived. Karen Ann Quinlan didn’t fare so hot.
