The outsole traction pattern is similar to “cool-crete” which is cool concrete with that texture used for outdoor pools that provide good traction so you don’t slip
The lockdown strap is great for squatting too. The Nike metcon midsole at the midfoot is good for plyometric jumping. It’s low and flat for lunges. I am defo gonna try and cop. To me, look wise, I give em a 10/10 ngl. Color way is fire, love the strap and i like how they are a mid top; not low, not super high. To me this shoe is amazing. Ill def try and cop on the 30th!

I always thought the sole pattern is after the cracked, fry ground you find on deserts, whicb would be in line with the cactus jack theme.😊

At first I didn’t like these but they have strongly grown on me especially considering I love how dunk mids feel especially for beater shoes so if I can get these for a good price I’ll wear the heck outta them

Paying $650 for any shoe that isn't a Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo or Neiman Marcus or even Thomas Bird is crazy. Especially a sneaker with velcro straps.

Do they fit tight like the SB’s the reason why I am asking is because I usually go with a size up to a 14 and the Jordan 3’s & 4’s. should I stick with US men’s size 13 or go up besides due to possibly too much padding inside? What happened to your boy Buckets⁉️

I just got a pair for 600 because I actually really like these. Probably the only TS shoe I really want. Very clean. Can wear with a lot of different outfits. Shoe just looks clean.

TR = Trainer?! As the promo states it’s a trainer shoe to do multiple things in. The strap is to keep the forefoot secure like previous trainer workout shoes made into a style feature.
They look good, I'm just wondering if Nike is going to release a million different colorways, or if they're going to keep the Jumpman Jack's kinda limited.
I don't use the dust hgs much either but i often think its cool tjey come with em. Wuat i would use it for is maybe a travel bag for hats or something

This is one of the 5 pairs I'm hoping to cop this year. Got 3 of the ones I wanted so far and I will certainly be trying for a pair of these Jumpman Jacks come Tuesday. Either way, I will own a pair as long as I don't have to pay more than double for them.
This is gonna be a hot take but I like these more than the Mochas(I liked them a lot too). Will definitely cop a pair in the future.
Honestly wish this colorway was in a non-collab SB Dunk High with a gum outsole.

Actually is overrated… take out the Travis Scott name from these shoes and only few people would buy them. They are ugly AF, even though I’m a huge Travis fan I wouldn’t pay 200 or resell for these and I bought my moccas for 900$…

Pretty sure the TR is for Trainer… these have a very similar midsole structure to the Metcon 8… which is a training shoe.
Also traditionally trainers have had that toe strap

Honestly the jack on the bottom rubbing off is just cutting cost, I’m an artist, so you can easily spray a sealant on the jack to have it not wear away, or have it be molded on there in a different colored rubber, its not this hard to make something last longer

These might be a good shoe for weight lifting tbh. Without the heel height obviously. But with the rubber coming up the side of the midsole, might also be good for some rope climbs. I’m not mad at them, it’s nice but not a necessity. 🤷🏻♂️

i def want a pair, i wanted them from the moment i saw them. Not because of Travis or the hype i actually like the color and style. its disappointing to hear there not as comfy as i hoped. its a shame there isn't a pair that isn't Travis Scott that are just like that like they did with the cactus jacks. i doubt ill get lucky enough to get a pair and i don't want the red ones but i do hope he is right and the price drop continues. i would maybe pay a bit more then retail for them not..$650 lol

Already got the A1 reps for $150 and got em in 8 days… ‘F’ the rep haters. No line to wait in. No raffle. No L’s from the sneakers app. No overpaying for hype. And no one can tell if they authentic or not.

I would definitely modify these and cut off the strap. They would look so much cleaner.
It looks like it's difficult to style for most jeans. Prolly cause of the strap i guess like the 312 legacy's. that's where the j1 low market is all about.
Overall, it's a 9 for me. The design looks exciting and fresh lookin. Might have a different take on streetwear fashion like the yeezy's when it first came out. It's like a low top version of the nike yeezy's came with a different kind of hype in this current hiphop generation.

Most people are gonna unhook the strap, take it out the loop, and tighten it so it sticks out by itself.

I stick with my pairs of Nike Air Trainer 1 Mids.. better quality by the looks of it, and those got history and soul instead of hype.
These are cool and I'd get em to wear to the gym if possible but $200 for a non Jordan retro is steep
