- Russia has declared a state of emergency in its Kursk region after Ukrainian forces apparently managed to advance almost 20 kilometres from the border.
Moscow claimed a thousand Ukrainian troops backed by tanks and armoured vehicles had crossed over the border, while video has emerged purportedly showing dozens of Russian soldiers being captured.

He’s made about 10 videos since start of the war regarding all their tanks, IFVs etc and counted how many they got and how they have been depleted since the war started. Ukraine has the right to defend itself, but must consider potential consequences. Pushing Russia too far could lead to devastating retaliation, possibly nuclear. NATO and the US may be unable to intervene without risking global conflict. A diplomatic solution is preferable to avoid catastrophic outcomes.

There are a couple of strategic targets, a nuclear power station supplying power to military industries and a railway supplying the northern Russian incursion. Furthermore a rightward move towards Belgorod would nullify that northern incursion. Btw, the Ukrainian soldiers have a sense of humour as when a Russian asked one Ukrainian soldier what he should do now, the Ukrainian replied, "You should get a Ukrainian passport and vote in the referendum..."

It is really sad that Ukrainians don't feel safe with Trump in leadership. The sad part is that many of us Americans feel the same way. Prayers still go out to Ukraine and the innocent Russians who did not agree to this destructive war. The other sad part is the innocent people of both countries enduring this pain and suffering while losing family members to a war that Putin started... True, but the military strategist spoke true, Russia will have to allocate most of its forces to defense now, making the land they’ve taken far less likely to be held. Best case scenario the lands Russia took are returned to Ukraine, Crimea is brought back under ukrainian rule giving Russian civilians time to relocate.
