    I use the honey on its own as a leave in after conditioning and it is AMAZING. My hair looks fantastic, to the point that the white people at work ask me what I am doing to make my hair look so nice. Camille Rose is pricey but it is the best stuff I’ve ever used for my hair, and a little goes a long way, so a bottle lasts for a long time.

      I completely agree. I don’t mind paying her prices. You get what you pay for. My hair stays moisturized for an entire week!!

    Why do people keep mentioning the honey leave in doesnt define. Isn't it a leave in?

  • @BiancaRoberts
    @BiancaRoberts Před 6 lety +12

    I know this was in 2016 but I just love going through your videos because you're so thorough. Right now I'm trying out the honey one. I have to say, I LOVE the moisture it gives. I paired it with the Camille Curl Maker for definition and I love how moisturized my hair feels more than how it looks. The odd thing is that my hair is normally more defined if I use the Curl Maker with my holy grail leave in (Shea Moisture's Low Porosity Detangler) with volume. Right now because my hair looks like Ramen Noodles lol. But it's super moisturized so I'm not mad at that. I wish it was more fluffy so hopefully it will get bigger over the next few days.

  • @bigupyuself
    @bigupyuself Před 5 lety +28

    But the honey is not supposed to define. It's supposed to hydrate, hello?

    I just used the collection for the first time last night. The beading of the Latte product did throw me off because in my experience, that usually occurs when products don't work well together. But now that I know this is normal for this product, I'm willing to give it a chance. I agree with the elastic-y feeling. That also threw me off. It kind of feels like the products are just sitting on top of my hair, but this may be because I've never used products with these ingredients before.

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  Před 7 lety +2

      +Melissa Blue Yeah it's an interesting line. I have had better luck just using the Honey Leave in by itself.

  • @minimalassembly7893
    @minimalassembly7893 Před 8 lety +28

    The latte cream should go before the honey. Also try mixing the honey with the green tea in your palm before applying; don't apply the green tea after wash day to avoid buildup. I haven't tried the collection but have similar "foodie" products from Myhoneychild with olive/honey ingredients. Can't wait for Camille Rose to restock though.

      They label the steps now and you definately go in this order; Honey, Latte, Green Tea... maybe the 3rd or 4th day use organic oils. And also the Honey isnt suppose to define so I would give it a 10....

    Hey Kenya! Have you tried using the products in order like the honey, green tea leave in, then defining cream. I haven't tried these products yet, but it seems like that's the way it's supposed to be used. You might get better results if you try it that way

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  Před 6 lety +1

      Hey! Thank you for your suggestion! Because my hair is low porosity applying an oil before my cream just prevents my hair from getting all the moisture from the cream.

  • @bornwithclass2365
    @bornwithclass2365 Před 7 lety +4

    Your hair looks good. My hair is on the high porosity side and very dense so I may benefit off the oil. I wash or cowash my hair every 4 days, which equals twice a week.. I've been sticking to my staples so maybe when they run out I may try if the products get back on stock. My hair is kinda short now so I don't wear it out much..
    I agree 100% about paying more and getting more quality. My staples are kinda pricey in comparison to some but I can use little of it in comparison also and having high porosity that means much.

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  Před 7 lety +1

      That really good that you have your staples down and you are so right! You definitely don't have to use a lot of the higher quality products.

    I can't wait to get mine! It's not shipping til Dec12. Glad to see your demo because I was thinking, "umm how do I use these?" Lol
    I'm not looking forward to little white balls tho. Did you do it on soaking wet hair? Could it be maybe you used too much? I'm trying to figure out a way to excuse the white balls lol

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  Před 7 lety +3

      I think over time the product built up in my hair because the white balls came on gradually as I was using the product and I was co-washing in between uses. So I think 1. I was using too much and 2. It's best to apply these products on freshly shampooed or clarified hair. The first time I used the collection on freshly shampooed hair and it was bomb!

    • @TriniGirlNatural
      @TriniGirlNatural Před 8 lety

      I suspect the honey leave in, though hydrating, is actually like an anti clumper. I only saw it not affect definition on those with extremely silky hair. Even just a little kink and the clumps were smaller than usual. I still like it but I want to try with the latte as my leave in. I'll try it in winter

    Just a suggestion because I didn't hear you talk about if you follow the CG method or if you just conditioner cleans or if you clarify. Until I started following the CG method and I used silicones when I would use some products and have silicones in my hair products would bead up like what you described. maybe try clarifying and then using the products and see if that still happens. Great video

    • @PowerInYourCurl
      @PowerInYourCurl  Před 7 lety +1

      Chrystel Davis Hey Chrystel! Thank you for your suggestion! I don't follow the CG Method but I agree with you that the product may have been building up on my hair. I usually clarify once a month and the three times I used this product were all in the same month before I clarified so the white beads definitely could have been the product building up over time. Especially since I experienced it right before I clarified my hair for the month.

      Sequoia Lee hey Sequoia! Don't feel like you have to use all three products at once. Even though it's a set, not all of the products may work for your hair. Also, I have noticed hay the oil is really greasy so when you use the oil I would only use a small amount or just don't use the oil at all. I hope that helps ❤
