@@BombLobsterAs a 2500ish Lichsss Blitz player, I'd say y'all aren't that bad as portrayed in the video. Hikaru's accuracy and trickiness takes experience to navigate, so y'all crumble quick. Hikaru makes most look very bad.

The end game at about the 4 minute mark is a classic example of good to be lucky and lucky to be good rather than being an error caused by high pressure. So much fun to watch these :)

I doubt a 2000 player will lose against queenless Hikaru even in Blitz, let alone Rapid. He wins this much because of the time pressure their opponents are under as they start to blunder everything, thinking they have this game in the pocket.
@@semerkosaI do think hikaru could do decently against 2000s in blitz and rapid without a queen. Like lose some but also win some. These super GMs can see a lot of tricks and tactics that a 2000 would miss
@@LetsSink Absolutely, he will get a couple of pawns. However, if one keeps playing solid, he will just end up with an extra queen on an emptier board, so yeah..

Hikaru missed the queen on d8 because in bullet players are often blind to the piece moved if it does not address their immediate threat or sequence of moves - basically assuming that because the queen was threatened, and the queen was moved, there is no need to look at if it is capturing. A small example of why you should never give your opponent the benefit of the doubt in chess.

I was wondering that as well. I'm thinking Knight H5. Because if Hikura takes the Knight on H5 with the pawn, then white can take the pawn on F7 with the knight. And there is no way to stop the white rooks from getting in.
