Thanks for including the changing that part on the sander, I'm new to home remodeling and didn't know I could do that. Appreciate it, great video
Been wanting to make these! Thanks for the vid!
I love the hardware that you turned us on to. Thanks for sharing this. The shelves are attractive. Stay safe.
Thank you! This hardware is awesome
Awesome! Thank you! I am so making me some! 🙌🏻 looks awesome in your space
You have a MySpace Tom vibe, I'm all about it 🙏
Very good video! I’ve been looking for something similar to this and I think I’m gonna give it a try. Also love the use of the truck tailgate! 😉 That’s totally me in my garage & driveway!
Thanks! You gotta work with what you got!
Awesome vid! Thanks
Good DIY video. Helpful hint: You can attach the bolt into a drill chuck. Then just spin that sucker into the wall so you don't have to twist it in by hand 😉
Thanks for the comment! And good tip!
Genius!
30 bucks for two pieces of wood, no thanks.
Looks very clean and I really like the style you used to support the shelves, great job! Will give this a try 👍
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the vid. Wish I had a workshop to do projects like this in my free time
Now this is more doable... and realistic cause not everybody and their mother owns a hack saw, miter saw, chain saw, drill press, hammer drill, rotary drill, brad nailer etc., etc.
Nice and simple and looks great! The mounting hardware is expensive. You can save money and just use 7/16" dowel rod.
Simple and beautiful
This is my ideal video, will definitely give it a try tomorrow
I’m glad it was helpful!
Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! This is the easiest way I’ve seen. But I’m wondering, how would you take it off when you want to?
Pull the shelve out of the lag
THIS is the way!
NICE!
Would you or anyone recommend filling the holes in the wood/shelf for the lag bolts, with some wood glue or some type of epoxy? I'm just curious if that would stop any play once the shelf is installed over the bolts. I'm assuming there's a little bit of play between the bolts and wood.
Thanks
There is actually no play in the shelves. And you don’t want to fill the holes with epoxy because then you couldn’t get it off
60k?! Let's go
Did you find studs? Or are you just in the drywall?
@04:41 you keep turning the can I'm trying to see. I don't know what you are using to make that shelf make that color and finish.
Hello! Are you in CA? Could you build us this floating shelves and tv stand with fire place?
What is the size of the wood board you used?
8’ x 5.5” x 1”
@@theweekendbuilder you did this with 1 inch boards? wow Most floating shelves need larger than one inch boards.
Rookie. Crown up!
Does anyone know what a 7/16 drill bit is in millimetres? Is it eleven millimetres ?
Google

Hi what are the names of all of the materials used?? I don’t know any names and I’m a person who learns visually and with lists. Please help me I want to do this today/tonight. Thank you 3/3/2022
The wood is called walnut, I have a link to the hardware in the CZcams description
What finish did you apply to the wood?
I used tung oil!
What’s the name of the table saw you use?
I used a craftsman evolve
Hello. Where can I buy the hardware?
I have a link in the description of my video, takes you right to the amazon listing!
Tell me you use your random orbital sander too much without telling me you use your random orbital sander too much. 🤣😂
Who doesn't use their tailgate as a work bench ? 😂😂😂
It’s definitely a good way to keep dust out of the shop

Hmmm... no kick-guard on the table saw, AND you're standing right behind the piece you're cutting?? I guess you don't want kids, right? lol
The riving knife I have installed prevents kickback which means I don’t need a kick guard. Plus, I already have kids, so I’m covered 🤷♂️
Don't need the background music at all.
Why waste my time watching you replacing parts on your sander when we wanted to see how you did the self project. I made it to 2:15.
Thank you for the feedback! It helps me to know what to include
I agree "to a point".
But.. It makes for an interesting story I suppose.
If you go with the idea of no story, this video could have been done within 60 seconds.
"Here is some wood. I chopped it to size, made it nice.
Drilled some holes in it that were straight. Be careful here.
Put the hardware in the wall.
Pushed the wood on.
Done."
But where is the fun or interest in that?
No need for the comment tbh u can very easily skip ahead if you don’t need to watch that part
