  • @tecmath This math multiplication trick is easy to do, and can be used to directly multiply large numbers! Math is easy with the tecmath math method of multiplication (say that five times fast!)

    I see now, the 34 messed me up on the logic

    34 x 36 = 924 + 120 + 180 = 924 + 300 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = 68 x 18 = 136 x 9 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 =. X. 3. 4
    3. 9. 12
    6. 18. 24.
    9 / 30 / 24. = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = ( 30 + 4 ) x 36 = 1080 + 144 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = 34 x ( 30 + 6 ) = 1020 + 204 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = 34 x (40 - 4) = 1360 - 136 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = (40 - 6) x 36 = 1440 - 216 = 1224 ✓
    34 x 36 = (40 - 6) x (40 - 4) = 1600 - 160 - 240 + 24 = 1624 - 400 = 1224 ✓

      Yup. It only fits certain numbers, even those with matching digits in the tens column.

      6x5=30

      This is a nice trick 🙂
      But I dont get the second example.
      Using the logic from the first example it should be:
      5x5=25
      3x7=21
      So using this logic the result *should* be 2521 instead of 3021, which is correct. I just dont get why it's not 2521.
      Can someone explain where he gets the 5x6=30 from?? 😮
      I dont see a 6 anywhere.

      @@FunkymarcherYou multiply "the tenth of the first number + 1" with "the tenth of the second number", that's where the 6 came from (5+1)
      Then you multiply the units number with the other units number
      34 --- 3+1 = 4
      36 --- 3
      4*3 = 12
      Then units part
      53 --- 5+1 = 6
      57 --- 5
      6*5 = 30
      Then units part
      The first example with 34 is confusing because it makes you think the 4*3 comes from multiplying the digits of the first number together

      It 's still not working I did the same for 89×97.
      9+1=10
      10×7=70
      9×8=72
      So it is 7072
      But the real Number is 8633
