Jacque clouseau is the pink panther detective! Haha that may have been what you were thinking of Doolin! 😁 and this video is perfect!! Always looking for new mystery recommendations! They’re my favorite too! Thanks guys!!

I have played just about every escape game there is, and I’d highly recommend Escape The Room, Crimes and Capers and all of the Professor Puzzle games besides Danger in the Deep and Escape From Dead Town. Maybe stay away from Curse of the Dark if you don’t want a 4-5 hour experience, but great video!

I will look into all of these!! Thank you so much. Which of those do you think is a must try first?

@@Tablenauts I’d try out Crimes and Capers first. And the Winner is Dead and Lady Leona are my two favorites. They have lock boxes and then more puzzles inside the lock boxes. Very fun! They are all great though. Also forgot about Escape Room in a Box!

We love Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective. Love it! You can play with a larger group, most of them sitting around the living room. We make copies of the newspapers for everyone. We set up a big dry erase board and have at it! So much fun.

I played echoes for the first time over Christmas. I liked the audio puzzle but I was somehow expecting that we were supposed to "solve" more stuff rather than just putting them in order. We played the violin one.

Loooovvvvee MicroMacro! Also greatly enjoy Awkward Guests! Currently checking out Emerald Flame. Looks cool! I have Chronicles of Crime, but my first plays of it left me wanting. I need to dig it out again and give it one more chance before bailing.

We get the issue with Chronicles of Crime. Tbh, the smaller box variants (1900 being our favorite) are just made better. We had such an issue with the QR codes with the base game!!

these are some of my absolute fav games too! I love playing them solo :)
    - A Light in the Mist is kinda the next thing after Emerald Flame that PostCurious did and I love it so much, I think I like it best!
    - I just got the Unlock Game Adventures set which I originally passed on but it is such a fun set!
    - everyone seems to really like Black Sonata, which I have but haven’t tried yet :)

Man, I love murder mystery/detective/puzzle stuff. I have been seeking a good game to add to my collection. Thanks for all the good recommendations.
I also saw Emerald Flame at PaxU and just had to pull the trigger. I'll check in with u guys if I'm stuck, lol!
Also, Emily's facial expressions are so MEME worthy. It's just too funny.
    Great video.

I have an Exit Adventskalender from Ravensburger this year. But it is too gard for me hahah. People seem to really enjoy the Exit Adventskalender from Kosmos. Have you all tried Cantaloop? It is like point and click adventures but as a boardgame/book.

I love escape room type games and mystery games! I've got a whole spreadsheet of ones I've done.
I've played a couple of the Hunt a Killer ones and I think those are my favorite of the murder mystery detective type games I've played. But I've also enjoyed the Cold Case series by ThinkFun - that's more reading and narrative. There's also the classic Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective board games - they're a lot of reading and it's tough to beat Sherlock but it's fun following clues! I also have Emerald Flame but haven't played it yet. I've played another game by PostCurious and it was great! Suspects is on my want to play list so I hope I can play it sometime!
For escape room games (I made a video about these last month), I really like puzzles, so I like Exit a lot, and the more recent Unlocks are fun too. But there's also Escape Room in a Box (Werewolf Experiment, Flashback) that has some good ones with physical components. And then there's Escape Room: The Game that has a neat lockbox. I also recently did a couple escape room games from Key Enigma and they were a fun mix of physical components and websites. Oh and some of my favorite escape room board games (there's only a couple in the series) are The Curious Elevator of Mr. Hincks and The Curious Stairs of Mr. Hincks. For more affordable ones, I haven't played them but I've heard good things about the Holiday Hijinks series - they're each an 18 card escape room game themed around a holiday.
And then more story ones that are kinda like point and click adventures - Adventure Games and Escape Tales. There's also Cantaloop but I haven't played it yet.
Oh and you should definitely try out Box One! It's made by Neil Patrick Harris and it's pretty immersive.

Would u pls with future videos lower the background music volume. Too many videos are doing it and it gets annoying trying to focus on what you're saying and then there is music covering over it. Or better yet, dont use music at all......thanks

    • @Tablenauts
      @Tablenauts  Před 11 měsíci

Yes we are working to correct that! I think in recent videos we have figured it out better. Sorry about that.

@@Tablenauts All goood. I used music in only one of my YT videos and never did it again. For my videos, I found it more important for ppl to hear me and get my messages. Many ppl do it these days and it can be nice in the background, depending on the content 🙂
