    It's the same for me. When I first heard about Steampunk, I had no idea what it was, then I learned that it is basically the elements that I've always loved. I was excited to know that there actually is a name for my taste in style, because that makes it easier to find stuff about it. And since there is a whole subculture based on it, there are people who know what I'm talking about. :) I love industrial things and old-world materials such as brass, copper, wood and leather.

    This video needs more views! Way cool! The fun thing about this kind of art is that it will never go out of style. I couldn't tell when I first watched this (wasn't directly off youtube, so I couldn't see the post date) if this was recent or old. It could be a tutorial posted last week and nobody would know. Well done! Keep up the great work! You've inspired me!

      Anthony you are so kind! Yes this video is quite old for B'sue Boutiques, but I rarely take a video down because folks say they love to watch them again and again, no matter how poorly we made them! Many apologies that I missed your comment, too. My new year's resolution is to go back to all my videos...about 175 of them! and respond to everyone I missed. It's a big job but I love doing it! Now we do LIVE sessions every Sunday at about 4:30pm EST. Subscribe and click on the little bell for our channel, and You Tube will quietly alert you when there are new videos or I'm on live. I hope you will join us. So many fun techniques to share!

    I have just started making steampunk jewelry and I watched your video. I was told " to make this stuff, you have to think outside the box" When I saw some of your work, it inspired me to think outside the stupid little box. Boy, things have changed so much
    since I was a little girl! Now they want the big clunky wierd stuff!

    • @bsueboutiques

      Some people do, Astra, but not everyone. Many like streamlined, demure looks as well. Come check out all the videos on jewelry making at the bsueboutiques channel, and you will see all kinds of jewelry making. So sorry I just saw your comment. My new year's thing is to check all my videos and see who I missed and respond, even if it's years later. Apologizing for that! And hope maybe you will check us out on Sundays, we have LIVE sessions now where you can comment in real time and I try to answer everyone. Next one is Jan 27, 2019, 4:30 pm THANKS!

    I just found you as well. Your video is great! I'm going to check out your website and think about what I can create as far as steampunk jewelry and things. What I noticed, only a slight criticism, is that people make stuff that turns, etc., but it mostly doesn't actually DO anything. Maybe someone can make something that like "oh I press this button and it gives me that answer to something else"... Know what I mean? Thank you so much!

    • @bsueboutiques
      @bsueboutiques  Před 5 lety

      Hi and first let me apologize for the tardy answer. My resolution for 2019 is go back through all the videos and answer everyone I missed. Big job! But I'm doing it! Yes, in the Steampunk community today, it's important that the piece move and have a function, even if it's fantasy. I just like the industrial look and I'm not into the lifestyle, I'm a jewelry maker and a teacher of all sorts of styles. I do love this one. Thanks bunches for watching and yes indeed we have tons of stuff that works for doing this at www.bsueboutiques.com
