- Lando Norris winning the Miami Grand Prix was a huge surprise to everyone, a twist which has made the 2024 season much more interesting. Miami highlighted certain weaknesses within the Red Bull RB20, which could potentially upset the Austrian teams dominant running in 2024. Considering the developments McLaren has made at Miami, coupled with the race-winning upgrades Ferrari are about to introduce next time at Imola, could Red Bull have a fight on their hands when it comes to defending both championships this season?

Well, the Miami GP has proved one thing, and that is that this season is far from over..
In the upcoming few days we will make video's about Ferrari & McLaren upgrades, with especially the Italian squad bringing a massive upgrade to Imola next race, where Vasseur said that he is comfortable they'll be able to fight for wins.
Enjoy the video!
Great vid mate. Now bring on the upgrades đ
McLaren are teaching Mercedes. Hope Toto is learning something here. But I seriously hope Allison can make a turn around.
Mercedes is out of the picture. They need a 2023 McLaren leap now. Logically speaking, its McLaren Red Bull and Ferrari. Ferrari vs Red Bull is the fight, McLaren have some more to fine tune.
2024 is much more interesting than I previously expected.
Ferrari at Imola, we are gonna have a fight now. Vasseurs dream team seems to be working.
I may be wrong. But during the race, Maxâ car before the safety has top speed of 306 on straight line where Norris had 317. His csr was set to have more wing because he complained of lack of traction during quali.
So, dont be too sure yet about other teams catxhing up. It might be a one of.
Although i do hope other teams could stop RBR domination
Great watch. What updates does the RB20 have for Imola?
We are covering Imola GP updates in a video by tomorrow hopefully; đ
@@overtakefans looking forward to it. I canât imagine it being substantial upgrades.
The beginning of the end of RBs dominance
And what about the upgrade of other teamđ
Again... sprint races are a waste... these teams need all 3 practice sessions to get the setup right
So how far ahead in pace was Mclaren over Ferraris, before mclaren had their upgrade they were 0.1 on avarage behind? If Ferrari are hoping at best 0.2 gain then its sounds it would be problematic to even match MClaren let alone be ahead.
looks like everyone start forgetting how easy Ves won CN grand prix
I knew Ferrari could gain there top place after last years craziness, this year changed it, 2022 was a good year kept up with Red Bull 2023 not so good but 2024 they came back made a few adjustments and it turned into an insane improvements especially the new car letâs go Ferrari keep it up this season đ
Common it was just one race just like last year.
McLarenâs pace was real and Landoâs drive was perfect, he made no mistakes, and worked hard for the win. I have nothing it compliments for him and the team.
That aside, a major contributing factor was Red Bullâs arrogance in not putting Max back on the mediums during the SC. The car was hot garbage on the hards. It had no grip and was all over the place. On the mediums, Max was slowly but surely building a gap, despite the tyres being about 20 laps old at the end of his initial stint, whereas Lando had been struggling to pass Checo and the Ferraris on the same compound.
Sure, Red Bull didnât have anymore fresh mediums, but the set used in the sprint was also a used set and Max showed that they were perfectly viable. Maxâs greatest strength is not being the outright fastest. Itâs being consistent and getting every last hundredth out of the car. We saw this play out last year in Spa, where Max was fourth fastest in sectors 1 & 3, but his constantly perfect sector 2 allowed him to keep building a bigger gap every lap. The utter lack of grip on the hards in Miami robbed him of that strength.
Despite how bad the Red Bull was on the hards, plus McLarenâs pace and their fresher tyres being over 20 laps newer, Lando was still only about three-tenths per lap faster than Max on the same compound, so Max may have been able to fight back if they had put him back on the mediums. No guarantee he would win because the used mediums might have dropped off at the end, but staying on the hards guaranteed that Max would not be able to fight back in any way, shape, or form.
And if you add the help from the fia. That win was a ridiculous gift from the fia.
No doubt red bull and all the wayđ â ïžđđđ
Weakness in Red Bull, teh car was broken?? That is the only time the others have a fighting chance. Red Bull is still +1 seconds per lap faster than anybody else
before that incident Max was unable to increase the gap. Norris would've probably caught Max even without the SC
Another user who both didn't look at the data nor understands how to read data.
Even Max himself knew he didn't have the pace in hand.
Lando was setting back to back fastest laps on 20 lap old mediums where Max was a solid 2 tenths behind on NEW hards.
Typically, new hards are faster than old mediums. That's how good Lando and that McLaren are.
It wasnt a surprise Lando won, it was pure luck of the safety car. Had everyone pitted then it he would likely be 5th and all the more reason why pit lane should be closed during safety cars.
đ
Max had floor damage after the incident in turn 15
The pace before the damage and after the damage was practically the same
yes but max running 75% lol always do that
â@@emzzmm4421he had defuser damage on lap one and still finished 2nd with a car more loose than a P star
