Have a composter nearby and you can use the seeds to make more bonemeal.
But It Was More Than enough from my XP Farm i never used a single thing from past 1 and half year of real life...... XD

@@asc7667 I did not understand your sentence at all. Extra wheat seeds don't really have an use, since even if you have a wheat farm, it's 100% renewable on its own, and actually gives you more seeds. You can make composting automatic by putting a hopper above and one below it, so it's definitely good to have one nearby.

if you do this in a flower forest, you'll get tons more flowers and variety- if you dont like the ones you get from that, make another farm near the original, and you might get different results!!
Bonemeal every square first. Where grass grows break it and bonemeal manually again. After you have all the flowers in you can see where things are going to spawn. Unlike other biomes, flowers in flower forest never change. So once you have a map, build your farm where you get the most variety of flowers. :)
I was thinking the same thing. I would only do this if I was trying to get a ton of different dyes. If done in a flower forest, this should pretty easily help get someone most of the flower dyes
@@JJapanda Honestly, you just need to get Cornflowers, Dandelions, and Poppies. Then you have a Squid Farm for black and use Bone Meal (either from the seeds you get here or from a skele farm) for white. With those five colors, you can make ANY other color of dye. If they add a two-tall Blue Flower, then it will be even easier; just one each of roses, sunflowers, and whatever the blue two-high is, each with a dispenser with bone meal. However, that won't generate the seeds needed for more bone meal and white dye, and obviously you still need a Squid Farm for black.

Also, I don't think there is a two high blue flower.
Also, I might be wrong about this, but I've never tried crafting green or brown dye, and according to a wikia (I'm not on my game still) you can't craft those two. Now cactus is easy enough. And in my world I literally just got some cocoa beans, but yeah those might be two you need (or maybe not)

On bedrock switch out the note blocks for observers, make sure they are facing each other

Mannymp252 I haven’t worked in a way to do it but I reckon you should be able to connect two sticky pistons to a lever and do it that way

Pro tip : go read the wiki page about Flowers. A combination of X/Y coordinates will spawn only ONE type of flower with a bone meal, meaning you will have to build a few machines at differents spots in Flower Forest to get all the flowers from this biome. Swamp biomes can only spawn Blue Orchids, which don't have this problem.

Make sure to build it in the correct biomes. In plains, and flower biomes you get a bigger variety compared to ocean or mountains.
Don't think you can get flowers in the ocean my guy... 😂

I found something interesting. If you replace the Chest with a composter, the bone meal goes into the hopper, and if you already used all your bonemeal in this farm, this is a way to make the seed recylcing faster.
Honestly, he doesnt need the last hopper to reach ground height on the last hopper underground just place the chest on that and now no obstruction
Thank you for the wonderfully put together tutorial! This works great in a plains biome, flower forest, or any other biome that has lots of different naturally spawning flowers.

I cant like this twice. Definitely the best flower farm hands down. Those noteblocks and height combo... make almost any size, nether stuff too.
This farm is awesome! I converted it into a warped fungus farm by changing the dirt for warped nylium and putting a pillar 1 block above the center block (the one that has the dispenser under it) so that it didn't cause any warped mushrooms to grow up. I also added a layer 2 blocks above the rest of the growing area to keep warped vines from growing high (just in case it affected anything).
Tip: Since diffrent flowers spawn in diffrent biomes, build this farm in a flower forest if possible. Apparently, since about version 1.19, you can probably only get 2-3 types of flowers to spawn on your farm. If you want diffrent types, you must build more farms in diffrent places. Build them on the soil the flower you want was naturaly growing on, that should work.

I had to try out diffrent spots with bonemeal to see what flowers grew.
I both do and dont wish someone told me before i started :)
First build, randomly i only got red and yellow
Second build, thought i was smart, built it randomly in flower forest wich gave me tulips only. orange, red, yellow and light grey
Third build i tried spots to see where i got blue, too relief lapis as dye source. works like a charm.

This farm doesn't only work for dyes, but also for get suspicious stew, you can craft it with a bowl, a brown mushroom, a red mushroom, and a flower. The flower gives the effect to the stew, I don't remember exactly which flower gives which effect, but for example, the dandelion gives saturation (which makes the suspicious stew with this flower the best food in my opinion), the cornflower gives jump boost and the allium gives fire resistance ;)

Don't just make it in flower biome...
first find the specific flowers you need in the biome. (They should be there naturally) go a few blocks to the sky and built the farm
How it works is that the if you bonemeal a grass block at the perfect place where is/was a specific flower, the same flower will come (sometimes only grass just destroy it and try bonemeal again)😁

This setup is awesome! I made two more and replaced the center block above the dispenser and the one to the right of it with warped nylium in one and crimson in the other. I get a lot of nether fungi on top of dye thanks to these designs as well as the bone meal farm you guys taught us to make also!

Shulker is basically the only person keeping players on my SMP. Some legend built this in the nether.

It doesn't work on me and I'm on bedrock. When I click the noteblock it won't give an update to the observer

This is java edition.
I made an alternative (although the pistons dont keep pushing on their own). I placed 1 button on a floor block about 2 blocks away from the chest on each side and ran the redstone dust to the dust that's on the side pistons. Although it's not "automatic" you can just keep spamming 1 button to the next and it still is decently efficient.

You can build half of this farm in the plains and other half in flower forest to get all flowers
Best thing is this can be converted into a warped root/ crimson root
If anyone is having issues with the pistons only firing when you hit the note blocks: Check the block you used for building. I used warped blocks at first in front of the pistons and it didn't work. Switched to cobblestone and it worked just fine. I'm using Java 1.20.4

Here’s a good tip to convert to seeds into bonemeal directly into the chest:
Place a hopper that leads into the chest, then place a composter on top of that hopper and then place a hopper going into (I do from the top but other directions might work too) the composter and place your seeds in that hopper (if you have a lot of seeds then maybe even place a chest on top of the hopper where you put the seeds in

Works in 1.19. Just make sure you build the farm all in one chunk (F3+G). I just built 5 of them in a flower forest. 🌳🌳🌳

1.17 FIX: So I'm sure that there are better ways of fixing this if it isn't working in Bedrock 1.17. But What I did was add redstone coming from both sides (connected to the noteblock) and added a button for each side. That way when I pushed one button, the pistons were activated on the side I pushed and the dispenser also planted new crops. Then I would push the other button and the process would repeat on the other side. It isn't as fast as this example made here, but you can still make it go pretty quickly depending on how fast you can push the buttons. It is a solution that lets it still work, it is just manual and a little bit slower.
EDIT: For better results, bring both lines of redstone together and connect them to one button. Then Add a redstone repeater on either side, setting one side to take a little longer to activate than the other. If you push the button once, then it will move the pistons on one side first and then the other ones as well a second later. It will do this twice per button push.
Quick tip: If anyone is building this farm and used blocks of amethyst as building blocks then it won't work. U will have to replace the ones under the note blocks with any other block. I don't really know if anyone other than me was gonna try that but ig it's just good to say that.

Keep in mind, that using bonemeal will spawn pre-determined flower for certain coordinates. So you can found a sweet spot with flowers you need most. Better build in flower biome.
Man I spent so long trying to figure out how the pistons stayed in sync until I realised that the moving blocks cause updates to the noteblocks so it physically *can't* mess up that is genius my dude 👍👍👍👍👍

If you want cornflowers find a patch and build the farm there. As it turns out certain flowers only spawn in certain parts of a flower forest.

if you play bedrock replace the note blocs with observers, i saw another comment suggest this, have a mess around with it, on Java if you followed the instructions it will work, i just built one but all i get are seeds :(

works perfectly in 1.18, use a composter to turn the seeds into more bonemeal. also if you change the middle two blocks (the ones that get bonemealed) with crimson/warped nylium you get nether drops (crimson and nylium fungus etc.), even if the rest of the area is grass.
Normally i hate the tutorials that are music and no talking. But this one was good and very easy to follow. Good Job.
For anyone wondering if it works past 1.19 i ended up making a timer rather then the noteblock, it moved it too fast for the bonemeal to work. Works now :) slightly bigger to build, but not by much.
Loving the simplicity of this build. I wonder if I can add a water flow and clock to get the drops into a chest...?

You could do a Minecraft with hopper under the grass, though you might miss some flowers in the middle (near the bonemeal dispenser).
i spent an hour building this only to realise it doesnt even work on bedrock, should have mentioned that
it is working on bedrock, but sadly not working in 1.20 cause i build this 2 years ago abd work perfectly fine. wish shulkercraft make a new design as simple as this one

Saw a comment saying that on Bedrock, you need to replace the Note Blocks with Observers and worked out fine.
Bedrock users: Replace note with blocks with a block of your choice and attach a sticky piston it, run wire from each one into a hopper clock with one item in it and connect that to a lever to turn it on and off. Much easier than breaking and replacing observers each time
