    I've owned this model for two years and I have to agree with everything you said. The only issue was the ground cable connection on the generator corroded preventing start-up. Easy cheap fix. It has been enjoyable.

    I see this, from the outside, for a couple that wants to go RVing in something a bit larger than a C class but not as huge as the Lux-A mansions.
    And you’re right, the kitchen is wanting. It wants a more kitchen.
    Actually, it seems to be a C class with the A class motor body

    You are 100% correct this is a great entry level race chaser. Need more of these no slide sub 30' class A's . Nothing against Tiffen ,Prevost, Dutch Star or others but these Rv's are fun and you're not afraid to actually go to the game or race and come back to find your London Aire ransacked. It's got its shortcomings but as you say no Rv is perfect. Nice Job as usual...I'm now gonna go and watch the Nascar 😆

    Now this is what I've been waiting for! Nice basic motorhome to hop in and go to visit my daughter in Colorado without imposing on her too much. My other daughter and family could use it to run up to the in-law's lake cabin and have their own privacy. Mount an e-bike for me or hook up a motorcycle trailer for my kids and we'd all be very happy campers.

    I have really become a fan of what I term the "Baby A's". It is nice to have the large front windshield coverage and viewing capability of a large A class without having to worry about the huge size and needing to have a big parking space to store them and to be able to find an RV park in which to find a lot to camp on. I appreciate the fact that these have a length similar to a c class but some of the functions of the class A's. I do wish this particular unit had more indoor storage as well as more of a class a look in terms of the bedroom size only having a camp queen. I have seen some similar "Baby A's" that are I think better arranged. I would also appreciate this particular floor plan having an option to have a set of theater seats rather than the sofa that is shown I'm not sure if that is something that Coachman offers but it would sure be nice to see if they would offer that in future models. I appreciate the fact that there are no slides in this particular model as it makes it easier for people to have access to the entire RV all of the time as in no issue with having to worry about roadmode ever. As I said I like this class of motorhome this just isn't my favorite floor plan I've seen. I think some of the Axis models have better floor plans but I appreciate you showing something like this on the channel and I hope you continue to show more motorized RVs on the channel, Josh.

    Now this right here is totally my jam. I've been looking at the Rove lite for towing with my Ridgeline, but this is a better idea long term. I could live it in as well. Plenty of room for a single guy and a dog. Thanks Josh!

  • @marcireale
    @marcireale Před 2 lety +2

    Those windows!!! Love that. The rotating front seats are a nice touch. And two thumbs up for NO SLIDES. Split bath is the best use of space, so that box is checked too. Yes, kitchen space is limited, but I’m ok with that. And a compressor fridge! My only 👎 is that queen bed. There’s room for XL twins in there, so wah, wah, wah on that. And it needs a BIG horn. 😁

    I saw this model in person here in Florida and immediately fell in love. When I was shopping for my motorhome (when I was upgrading) I had a choice between Axis/Vegas non slide model and a Class C no slide model ONLY BECAUSE this did not exist yet. I went inside ACE coach and I was like man it would be so cool if they could just get rid of the slides.... and then BAM this one came out but by that point i already owned my class C for a while. To me given that it has basically identical layout to my class C... it would be a logical choice for my next rv. More roof space for more solar.

    I think this floor plan would really benefit from going to a convection microwave and replacing the oven with just a cooktop. That would give two good sized drawer that are sorely needed. Otherwise it's a very cool road trip machine.
    Edit: Camp queen doesn't bother me on this. It's a 29 foot no slide motorhome there are going to be compromises.

Not super big, and not super small with that huge storage in the rear! A great couples camper with the ability to have some grandkids beds when necessary. A great load up and go unit!!! Thanks for showing us this one Josh... And yes Josh, you're crazy... 🤣

    @wmschooley1234 Před 2 lety +6

    Josh: WOW!!! You never cease to amaze. Just when I thought I knew what was what, you come along with something new. This rig definitely gives wife and I something new to think about. This is definitely a couple’s get up and go visit the grandkids wherever the army (along with dad and mom) sends them. I’d swap out the oven for drawer space. In fairness, even thought this Pursuit 27XPS is too tall to go through my barn door it’s got the right length. Could a low profile AC bring it to less than 11’? It’s sure a rig to be considered alongside the Coachmen Leprechaun/ Freelander 27QB or the Forest River Forester TS 2381. The F53 7.3l V-8 mated to a six speed transmission might be an issue. Fuelly gives the F53 7.3l V-8 an mpg of 7-8 which is something to think about So I’d talk to someplace like 5 Star Tuning to see if the mpg could be improved. Otherwise, I’m definitely impressed. Respectfully, W.S.

    @CC-fx4nn Před 2 lety +2

    This is an interesting enough coach I would want to take a closer look. If you just wanted a base-camp, this would be a good contender.
    The kitchen needs work! If you don't even have enough room to store eating and cooking utensils, the whole thing is completely useless. If they were to go with a slightly smaller fridge, then move the microwave/convection above the fridge, that would help with some storage. They could also install some of those Lance plastic drawers in the space under the sink and that could help with the silver ware storage, at the expense of a place to put the trash.
    I would also want an exterior ladder!
    This motorhome is a great idea, just needs some fine tuning by someone who would actually camp in it!

    We toured this at the dealership, and think that this is the floor plan that we want (couple, no kids attached). I'm disappointed int he visible quality of the build, mostly in the trim and woodwork. I've upgraded a couple of handyman special houses, and I completely got that vibe - straight out of the factory.
    But, we love the simple no slide floor plan, the always usable bed. I think the drop down bunk will make a great solid state projection screen for movie night.

    Nice video and rig. For our first RV we wanted to try something simple and old to see if we liked it. Got a 1996 29' Itasca Suncruiser. No slides, no levelers nothing fancy but plenty of room inside and out. When I went to move up to a newer rig I wanted something just like it. Could not find anything. This rig is just like our old one and I would have got it new rather than buying a 8 year old rig. My doctor bought one as his first rig for weekend trips - he loves it. That's when I first checked it out. You're right on the money with a great weekend rig for a family of 2-4. Nice and simple. And with a 12v compressor fridge you don't need to be perfectly level, just comfortable.

    Josh, thanks for another great video. I think this a great coach for short trips, weekend adventures etc.
    yes, storage is limited.
    Last year we went from a 32-6” total length class C to a Winnebago 30ft class A.
    We do have a full wall slide and that gives us tons of room for month long trips. But, slides have always given me anxiety.
    Here is our experience comparing the Ford V10 engine class C to our 2022 V8 class A. Our class A is 4000 lbs heavier than our former class C , but the new engine has averaged 1.5 miles MORE per gallon over 18,000 miles driven so far. We get 9.5 mpg average over all the miles and conditions encountered. We love the new Ford drivetrain.
    Thanks for another fun video.

    Josh, the RV Nerd! Coming from a Respiratory Therapist, you should never put your CPAP up that high, as condensation with or without using a CPAP humidifier you must keep your CPAP either beneath your head or on the same level as your head or you can/will get moisture in your lungs that can cause you big issues. It drives us crazy that these RV builders think you can safely just hide your CPAP up high, but it’s simply not safe to do so!

    I’m sick of slide failure. I like this. I would live in this full time. My biggest criticism is the short bed. Couldn’t they make it 6” longer and have a residential queen bed? It’s #vanlife on steroids!

      6" longer for a true queen.. Sign me up
      I'm sure they were gunning for a true "under 30ft" length (which they did accomplish which is commendable), but I'd take one that was 30'6" and be just fine

    this would be another perfect one for me, no slides has a lot of benefits for sure, especially for one who may boondock or do a lot of short time setups, one night here, one there.. just pull up to spot and ready to go, dont even have to really stabalize or level it if parked in decent enough spot, just put in park and good to go. still counts as a toy hauler for me, cargo trailer of some sort solves that if going somewhere you want toys. yet this can go almost anywhere a larger pickup truck or extended van can go in town for supplies etc. (i took a 32 foot box work truck thru a drive thru once years ago, they tripped out on that one, driver window way above the food window lol)... i still wonder why they do not make 4x4 class A, should not be any harder than a class C. this would be a great 4x4 version.

    I want all of you "van life" folks to chime in on this one. What am I missing here? This rig comes in at the very bottom of the price range of class B, will go to 90% of where you would take a class B, mileage would at least be comparable, towing too? I have seen class B's with half the space, fridge size, washroom size, no dinette, having to convert a bed every night? And if you option them out, are $20-50K more than this option. Perhaps you can't drive it around town as easy. This can tow 5000 lbs. Pick your mode of local transport. Bikes, EV bikes, boat, small car, small aircraft, you get the point.
    I have seen the inside of a $150,000 van life van and it is nowhere near as comfortable looking as this RV and, as someone who has driven a schoolbus and a van, the difference is not as much as you would think unless you're in a metropolitan area, and such driving should be minimal at best.
    Full sized bed. Roomy bathroom. A real kitchen. Storage storage storage, at least compared to a Van and $60k in your pocket?!?!
    I think you're missing a large group of travellers here by not offering this machine as a legitimate alternative to "van life" my friend.
    Cheers! And I love it!
    You watch, now that I have pointed out the obvious, rigs like this will sore in price as manufacturers only slowly see the logic and vans will finally come down to levels that start to make sense. Because $200k plus vans are now common despite being absolutely ludicrous.

      @@christy2love I just watched a Van life video and really liked the van. But it was $225k?!?!?
      It wasn't really that off road capable. Just built well, I'll admit that. But nowhere near the space of this rv.
      I've always believed that you get what you pay for, but also, trends can be way over priced.
      I think that van life atm is severely over priced, and I know the drawback to this kind of rig. But the extra space? I'm already mid 50's, how long do I need a rig to last? Just get in and go with $100k easily just jingling in your pockets compared to a van.

    Sure I am not a fan of split bathrooms but it makes sense in this unit. The storage is another part. I checked the price and it not bad.
