Split bengal gram(chana dal)-50 gm(soaked it for 7-8 hours)
Chopped ginger-2 inch
Chopped green chilli-2
Finely Chopped onion-2 (medium)
Grated garlic-12 to 15
Grated ginger-2 inch
Tomato puree-100 gm (1 cup)
Fresh cream-100 gm
Butter/ghee-50 gm
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Red chilli powder(kashmiri)-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Hello Kabita jee- Awesome recipe. I made a modification to this by using Coconut milk in place of cream and a little bit of thai curry paste and came out great! Thanks for the nice recipes with very good clear instructions!

I love all your recipes. They are all so quick and easy to make. You make cooking so simple. I just got married and I literally didnt know how to cook basic food like daal properly. My mom would tell me all the time that after u get married you are gonna have so much trouble. But i have been married for over a year and i have learnt how to cook not from my mom but from you. Everytime i would call her for recipes she would explain it to me in sucha complicated way and i would tell her u know what im sure kabita has a video recipe up and im gonna watch hers and she would laugh . Kavita ji, I really like daal & enjoy watching all your daal recipies on your CZcams channel. I have made your sabzi's which have turned out excellent, so thank you! My problem is that I do not have a pressure cooker & am not very comfortable in using one. Is there anyway we can make all your yummy daal recipies "without" a pressure cooked & just make it in a cooking pan/pot? Any suggestions or tips you have to make your daal recipies without a pressure cooker will be greatly appreciated Kavita ji. Thanks!
You can make toor daal, moong dal and massor dal without pressure cooker......just add water, salt and turmeric powder in dal and boil it on low medium flame(partially cover the pan)till it cook properly... after that add tadka, dal is ready :)
