I love this saddle. When I was first trying to find a saddle I contacted 3 or 4 companies trying to get information about their saddles specifically because I am a big guy as in Im fat and out of shape. After months Latitude was the only company that would give me any information. They are a great company to work with and they make great products. I would highly recommend all of their products.
I purchased this saddle after your first review and I love it I made multiple all day sits and it’s very comfortable. I also walk in with the saddle on, hiking up to 2 miles in and have no problems with the magnets failing. Thanks for the great reviews.
Love the method 2, my current favorite on the market. Super adjustable and comfortable for me walking in or climbing. Great to see your process and see how it stands up against others I haven’t been able to try.

I had the gen 1 and gen 2 of both the method and classics. I had over 100 hrs in the gen 1 method I preferred it over the gen 2. The gen 2 classic was more comfortable then the gen 1 imo. Great review I enjoy enjoy trying them out as well can get expensive tho I think there's 2 or 3 I haven't tryed yet.
It's cool when you have time in the saddles and can begin to know what works and what doesn't and start narrowing things down. Thanks for the feedback, Chris! 👍🏼
Great question, Michael! To my knowledge they do not give you an option. Some manufacturers give different options than others so you'll just have to choose a saddle that fits your liking. Hope that helped.

I would check the return policy for both manufacturers and buy one and try it out. If you love it than you are all set. If you aren't sure, return it and buy the other one. Just a suggestion. 👍🏼
I have the tethered mvp back strap with my Cruz xc tree saddle. Here's my question: Would you be considered that to be a 2 panel tree saddle? How big of a difference is there
Are you asking if I would consider the CRUZR XC with the Tethrd back band a two-panel? I think that is what you're asking. If so, I would not consider that a two-panel. You can add comfort by using a back band with any single panel saddle (and even with two-panel saddles). A two-panel saddle is one that is specifically designed with two panels. I've been considering this saddle. Can you comment on how it worked with one sticking? Any chance the panels come apart while maneuvering? Additionally, I'm concerned about only having molle on the top of the top panel. It seemed like your pouches were ok and you just slid the bottom panel under them. But I also like to keep a knife sheath on my molle for easy access in case I need to cut a rope to free myself in an emergency. It doesn't look like there is anywhere I could do that without interfering with the storage of the bottom panel. Also, since there is no molle on the bottom, there is no where to hook a platform while ascending. any thoughts?
Mentioned in the review is the panel straps that are sold separately on Latitude website. These keep the panels from coming to far apart and are recommended for one sticking. I have done it with and without the straps and yes the panels can come apart when you get in certain positions like leaning to far backwards and down to reach stick to make move. So I like the extra straps but wish I could then easily remove once I get up to height. When not one sticking I have kydex hooks attached to top molle to hook loops from sticks and platform to for climbing. I love these hooks they are great for attachment points. Very cheap got them off Eastern Woods Outdoors another great company. You can attach your knife to top molle and still put bottom panel under it just like pouches but just not close to the 3 magnets because they are very strong. I carry pocket knife clipped into front pocket of my pants and the magnets will pull it out of pocket when I take saddle off. So attach just behind side pouch is what I would do.
Great questions, youtoober87! I did one stick while wearing the saddle and the panels did not come apart. Prior to making my second move I opened the panels intentionally and that was more comfortable for me. I did not use the panel straps that Latitude offers and I didn't have any issues. As far as the magnets, they work really well and you can still close the panels even with dump pouches installed. I believe there would be room to hang a platform on the back of the top webbing but I had mine in my pack during the review so I didn't test that. I don't know enough about magnets to give you an educated answer but I can tell you that they are very strong and don't separate unless you manually pull them apart. I can also tell you that, according to Latitude, the magnets have been field tested for hundreds of hours and they are coated in an epoxy used on industrial grade windmills. Personally, I think the method 2 is the best 2 panel saddle out there. Not sure what else you could ask for in a 2 panel.

Why would you ever remove the leg straps, wouldn’t that be unsafe if you fell off platform

I do like both but had been using a single panel as my personal saddle until recently. Now I'm running a two-panel. 👍🏼
